I Don't want to sound like an idiot here and i know i probably will but hey, If you want a good all mountain board wouldn't you just want like a freeride board? not freestyle? as for length, its a piece of wood, composites and whatever else, its made to take stresses of rails, falls, all that stuf, your not gonna break it, i've had 6 boards in my short life and never broke one, de-laming, de-edging yeah. but thats from hitting shit. As for BURTON, corporate bullshit, I will never buy burton, Ronnin, Red, whatever, because there are a TON of innovative companies out there that are completely revolutionizing the industry while burton is gonna say hey, were gonna use 3 bolts instead of 4 because... (WHY!!!) ohh now were gonna use some kind of rail system because hey, our bindings suck so were gonna make our decks so they can only use our bindings? and people will buy into it just because its expensive and they tell us its really good and some douche bag named Sean says so. (i'f you've ever seen the terrain park safety video with him in it you know what i mean, and having to show the video to hundreds of kids over 2 months, believe me, you would HATE him too.) all in all, IN MY OPINION burton is way over priced, and when you think your getting a huge sale its really not, you think a $750 for $200 is a good deal, (And don't tell me it was proform, thats bullshit too, factory B line, didn't pass quality!) well how much did that board cost to make? whats the whole sale price? its so obvious that there marked up so incredibly high. it makes me sick, Last year I bought a ride DH i think MSRP is like $480 and I looked and looked and the lowest price i could find was like around $400 on ebay. Its like buying a prius, even though it costs $28,000 and you save a little money on gas, your paying an extremely high cost to save a little money on gas, (Image) basically what i'm saying is... I don't even know anymore... but just try something else! and support any board company other than burton...

Wait, what should I not have "Advertised?" the fact that he actually rode the features he set? or was that what you misread? I'm pretty sure he stopped cutting the 13ft partially because there was a big rock in the ground toward the end of the pipe, he said something about having to keep moving snow around to cover it and he couldent scrape any more snow up because he was getting dirt and grass every time he cut it, and there was so much snow melt, there wasn't much left, it was more like a 11ft pipe, there are a lot more reasons other than he didn't want to. lost cause is one of them. I don't remember all the details, Nick maybe you can remember. Planets groomers were pretty skilled and I hate to say it, but in my opinion sno doesn't have anyone as good as planets guys, but Seth was really good, (The guy were talking about) I hope they find someone who will make everybody happy... I'll stop talking now about this, I keep forgetting that I do want to work for them again and I know the excellent management at sno mountain diligently read up on the opinions of there customers. but hey, i'm also a season pass holder! idk if you were being sarcastic about the building the pipe parallel to the sun, but... yeah you must have been and hey, I'm no grooming expert, i'm just throwing what i know out there to help enlighten someone, take it for what its worth. For all you know, I may just be talking out my ass! sometimes I think I am... AND Pappa, I wouldn't be surprised... and yeah, where's ski, you two get along so well it's not as fun without him.

hey, i'll build them, I'm employed right now as a Machinist, I have welding experience (not certified) also have decent fabrication and carpentry experience, I'f sno wants to pay me $18 an hour salary full time with benefits i'll quit my job tomorrow... lol thats not gonna happen but yeah, I really hope our groomer from last year comes back, he was a real cool guy, we would ride with him in the morning after he finished up with the park, un like the other drivers, he actually rode what he made, if he didn't like it he would try it different next time, he also went the extra mile to try to make our job easier by making sure there were no cookies or anything, he was getting pretty good at cutting the pipe but by the end of the year one half was getn beaten by the sun all day and the other was in the shade. As for building the pipe, i'm sure it takes a very skilled and talented driver to all that work, especially with no dirt work. ohh and "taking the super pipe with them" confused the shit out of me... I cant remember the exact number for that 22ft zaugg but i think it was over 100k, I could be wrong but I think it might be around that number. but thats what grants and tax rightofs are for. all n all I'm sure the owners have the best intentions, my guess is, they have multiple investments and sno just seems to not get as much attention as it needs, pappasteeze, I know you know this stuf better than me, what is your guess about neptune leaving early?
-
Even though i'm really happy that planet got out of sno's pocket, I would love to know what happened, and uhh is sno gonna hire a new company to make jibs when the current ones break and ware out?
-
anyone else go up? I was so excited neptune got out of his contract, I was compelled to work another season.
-
I asked and the answer I got was "that they should be calling when there ready to start taking the pictures, maybe 2 weeks."
-
WOW dude i want to see more... Thats extremely unprofessional for an x pro boarder and owner of a business like that... I met the dude once or twice two years ago, he seemed a little stuck up to me, and last year, If i'm correct, I don't believe he made it to sno once, he had sno take pictures of the terrain and then neptune told his guys what to do... his guys were pretty good, except they complained a lot, seemed to tell us how much they hated being there all the time, I'm extremely excited for this season, expect to see a ton of creative ideas going on...
-
Hey, i'm a previous park crew employee from Sno mountain, someone in our forum posted the following "RyanNeptune --> montageskier You might be happy to know Planet is finally out of its contract with Sno-Mtn and I have worked out a plan for rails for Camelback and I am donating a rail jib feature and rake to Big Boulder all of which are now load. But since I am such a piece of shit and cant build anything according to you I guess it probably wont effect you too much eitherway." I guess it was an email he got, can anyone verify if its true?
-
uhh lol i'm pretty sure sno owns there own jibs. Maybe sno should build a fab shop and make there own features... I'm pretty sure the rails we got from neptune wont last that many more seasons. Nick did sno get Seth back for another season? I'm a little skeptical about the email though, is "But since I am such a piece of shit and cant build anything according to you I guess it probably wont effect you too much eitherway." part of the email?
-
They left sno early because they absolutely hated sno, they will be better off because I know who's in charge of the park now and I know he has a lot of great ideas and hopefully his creativity wont be limited, if things go the way i think they will, Sno will have an amazing season this year.
-
yeah nokian for a 2008 vw gti, I should have goten a price but hey, I need to get to work reguardless of the weather.
-
I might go up for the job fair, not quite sure if I want to work two jobs but after spending $1074 for snow tires today, I may need to. How about all this snow anyway, I don't want to gynx anything but where I live we got over six inches, if this is a preview of this winter... I'll be soooo happy, I might even cry. I'll try to get an answer for the picture for you, or hey, you could just call?
-
Yea Bamf, Sno does have an Excellent reputation of letting us down... But they did say that they had fixed the lights and they already did the dirt work, so I guess they cant really just flat out lie about that right? Hey Snomtn08, it would be really awesome if you posted pictures on your website to show off the dirt work, just in case there are any disbelievers...
-
I am so relieved , new lights, new placement of guns, and i'm so excited about the dirt work i want to work park again regardless of my unlimited pass purchase! if this works out I may even buy my bro a pass for christmas!
-
yeah I know of employees who had there paychecks bounce. Maybe there not in trouble, maybe there just lazy idiots who forget to pay there bills? lazy... like yeah we will get around to it... Now i'm just really nervous because if they don't have money right now it may be super hard to get loans for payroll, no employees, no sno, which means i'm out $550 for my pass. Good luck sno...
-
definatly overanalized for someone who hasent been to sno in 15 years, as for the status, I don't know anything, I bought my pass, I really hope they don't build the 22 If they don't do the dirt work. Plus the news is saying it might be a really cold winter so thars great news when you think of all that nasty rain we gotlast year. Personaly I think they were just trying to be optimistic with the completon dates, I think they keep running into bad luck but I have faith in them.

That makes a lot of sense about the pro form stuf, and I guess it would make sense to just suck it up and get the jacket I want.
-
dude I got a pair of 32 Primes last year cuz my TM 2's broke 2 weeks after I got them, I'm a size 12 and the salesmen talked me into a size 10 boot, I rode almost every day and it took 2 weeks before they didn't kill my toes, (I did have them heated in the shop and fitted them and still hurt) i mean I literally couldn't bare to walk in them, but after those 2 weeks, they have been the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, they perfectly molded to my feet. Only problem was I had to buy new bindings, but they fit my DH much better, so maybe if you tried a size 12 or it wouldn't be that bad? also I noticed that with a bigger boot and more room inside your more likely to have more flex, I destroyed a pair of northwaves and those 32 team two's, I would wind up flexing the ankle and actually crushed the back of the boot, the tm two's actually had a plastic support that i cracked and it snaped back and fourth, it was kinda like those stick bracelets you snap across your wrist and makes it curl over it... but anyway... trya 12 or 12.5 maybe they'll fit.

Alright I went far enough with trying to make a simple point... nick, sorry but I don't have any product catalogues from major brands, I usually try to find good deals on ebay, the house, milosports, tightboards, ect, I remember looking for a good deal on that foursquare coat but couldn't afford to pay $250-$300 on a coat, I will never buy anything burton... Maybe a helmet, (I know someone who got a proform card, the board was pealing top coat paint within a month, and the boots were ripped and it was suposta be a $700+ board.) , and nick, do you really think shredders really buy TWS for the latest fashion trends on the slope? I don't, maybe i'm wrong but i'll assume most people don't. I'm not saying that they shouldn't show those products because its the companies who are representing themselves, not the mag. As for the boots, bindings, boards and even gloves in the product guide, i really like them, I plan on buying the ride contrabands dfc, but come on man, does anybody else say wtf when they see a camo one piece? anyone? I shouldn't have said that I haven't found anything, just nothing i could afford... As for what i'm looking for, i'll know it when I see it.
-
I'm only on year 4 for my jacket, and hey dan, yea, burton coming out with a $450 one piece camo jump suit kinda makes me say wtf? i'm sayin same as what ket said, i'm frustrated lookin for a jacket that I personally like and not finding anything, i'm not just out to get a new coat because I want to look cool, my coats ripped, faded, and the zippers broke... Not looking to make a fashion statement, just seeing a bunch of crappy jackets and cant find one i like.
-
hey, guess what, I had the time to write it that day and its something that has been bugging me for a long time... Writing about things that piss me off is a way for me to get it off my chest, ya know? I'm just frustrated because i've been looking for a good jacket that's for me for a while and when I look at what's "hot" i see a bunch of insane looking crap... but anyway, i'm over it. i'll just say what I wrote was basically a review of TWS's product guide.
-
Now wait a minute, is it really what the people want? or is it what's "Trendy" making it cool makes you say, ohh i gotta have that because its trendy. think about things you have bought, and think, would you have bought that 2 years before? did it make sense to buy distressed jeans? i'll admit, I have a couple pair of faded jeans but nothing with huge gapping holes in them, but that kinda came and went too... I'm sure there are items out there that we can all be satisfied with but my whole point is that the companies are trying to tell us what we should think is cool, now I'll buy into innovation... reverse camber sounds ingenious and if it will give me a better ride and give me a more satisfying run through the park i'll buy into it. But hey, companies need to make money and they wont make it by people not buying new coats... i cant even imagine the mark up on the clothing, but if it helps for funding R&D on boots bindings and boards than... ahhh So i guess after reading what i wrote, I pretty much contradicted my self. but hey, its just an aggravated rant and thats what forums are made for!!!
-
Now I like that, its super clean, except it might be hard to keep clean, but yea thats the kinda coat i'm lookin for. and as for Romes bindings, yeah my brother got some last year, not sure what model, but the back was too stiff and he hated them, he liked my ride alphas much more I read some on the contraband's and there getting some good reviews, don't know about the durability of the strap but I'm sure they did there R&D and I have a feeling that there gonna b great... dude I think a fur hood would be sick especially on those cold nights... but hey its my opinion.
-
Now its just finding the right one, the banana looks better this year but seems like its defiantly catching on i'll just wait till mid season to get a good deal and read some reviews... also, did you see rides contraband bindings with the rubber toe strap deal? so far I bought 2 pairs of ride bindings and love them...
-
Noboarding hugh thats cool I bet that would be sick. But not to seem rude to that dude but shouldn't it be like NoBinding? lol jk but your right about that, its expensive... I guess they want to be different just like everyone else...
