  1. Your right about that they gotta make $$$... But In addition, I'm no fashion expert but I don't think this stuff will sell that well, with the way things are these days, I don't think people will be shelling out the cash for this junk. I think you'll be seeing most of these items on the discount rack in february.
  2. Thats true... but usually the kind of people who rock the matching sean white outfit got it for christmas and ride like 4 times a year...
  3. I got my product guide for the 2009 season, pretty disappointed with the apparel lineup, if this is what they call trendy, Thats what I call needing to change to get people to buy the new s**t. I'll admit it, I like to buy new gear, I don't like to show off my stuf, I just want to be on the cutting edge of riding technology, I am by no means a GREAT rider, but I'm not a poser d-bag who thinks burton and Sean White's the s**t. I'd like to be recognizable on the slope, not stand out... When I looked at TWS buyers guide I was hoping to find a new coat to buy because my old ones ready to be retired, but I cant see one coat I would be interested in buying. I'f you didn't see the guide yet, i'll fill you in, in the apparel section, starting out, the first thing that stands out is a matching set by Rip Curl, called "Gore Ghetto Love" the coat is $370 and the matching pants are $270. Its basically a print of speakers and there brand name all over the place, horrible, horrible. Next item to catch my eye is a ONE PIECE camo suit... $449 by Ronnin (BURTON) Cant you get like the same thing from gander mountain for like a quarter of the price? if thats trendy then I guess i'm not... for the Ladies, I see parkas (not sure thats the right name) style coats with like six buttons on the front. and a $600 leather (look) one piece. on and on I'm seeing ugly obnoxious prints and ugly colors. The pants are not that bad though, but for the coats, it seems like they just changed style just to change. Ohh lol and sorry but your burton pro-form card stuff is crap. (can someone please explain to me why burton made the "No fish" the $500 board with a rope and no bindings... sounds like something you buy for $39.99 at Walmart.) I also got a pullout of the DC winter gear, I see a matching black and yellow coat, pant, boot and board! somebody please, its gotta take a lot of balls to rock all that shit, I would love to see it... also, its worthy noting that they have a coat and pant in a reflected silver kinda space suit deal... For some reason I remember people being really pumped because DC was making boards this year, now explain to me how DC wouldn't be like BURTON with there mass produced boards that don't get touched by humans until they got to the store... Last year, I bought a pair of black Holden classics, there kinda tight around the thy and flair out for your boots, now when you rock this with a couple layers under there the best pants i've ever worn, no big pockets, or crazy s**t hanging off them, just comfortable and not in the way, plus not too many people wear them so its kinda unique, Holden even has a full ad in the guide, there coats are not blinding colors and no crazy stripes and shit. great stuff. All I want is a big puffy coat with a fur hood... so unless your sponsored and(or) really (REALLY) good, wearing matching pants and coat is gay (We all know that, I hope), hey, and so is wearing 9 bandanas and frogskins. and if you buy DC's matching coat, pants, boots, and board, I want to take your picture because your the biggest d bag to ever hit a slope So If you buy into this years clothing lineup just remember, next year your stuff will be out of style, and you will have to buy more, saying that, i'll have to say that when it comes to the boards, the banana type reverse camber boards, looks like they make a lot of sense, and i'll admit that i'm going to probably buy into that this year when my DH is done. So I guess i'll sum all this ranting up, where has the industry gone? and where the hell is it going? So This got deleted the first time, sorry PASR guys but I think everyone can handle the "S" word...

  5. Bought mine yesterday (unlimited), so i guess sno was closed, it was like a ghost town up there, everything was open but no one was there, I mean nobody! (Except for the construction crew but they don't acknowledge your there anyway) i probably walked around for 20 min, checking out the zip rider and min golf and stuff, walked through the lodge up the other steps and i'll say they did a ton of work this summer. I kept looking until I just started knocking on the office door and maybe 3 min later a nice lady opened the door and let me buy the pass, she said they closed for the day, it was a shame, it was a gorgeous day, not too hot just right. hopefully they'll have good business next summer when the water park is completed.
  6. personally I don't mind ridin alone, I listen to my toonz and i'll ride for 5-6 hours strait, but it is nice to ride with a bunch of people, I found that I progressed more when I had someone to copy off of. Sno's grooming was excellent last year when you look at the weather they had, my concern is just that when you add up the costs for running those cats, when I was working with the park groomer, he told me that they go through about 50 gallons of diesel a night each you take that times around 4.00 a gallon thats at least $200 a cat a night times 4-5 cats looking at maybe $1000 a night just for fuel 7 days a week, that adds up big time, now those are like estimates and I hope I don't look like an ass to the people who know more than me because for all I know it could be a lot more. $550 for a pass seems like a good deal and I decided I'm gonna get it, I have a decent job now and it would be really nice to ride every day after work and on the weekends at my own leisure. I'll even volunteer my time for the park if necessary, but as for now, I would rather be a customer who has every right to bitch about the mountain if it sucks and not just an employee who kinda has to earn there pass, not that there's anything wrong with that lol. I also had an idea today, remember how bad it was last year when I tried getting peoples opinions about the park? Maybe this year we can get people on pasr who are interested in giving there opinions who aren't total tools, to have like a meeting up at sno, like on a saturday, some time in early december, maybe november (a Volunteer park committee) If the GM and park staff are interested? might be a lot more productive than a bunch of kids from who knows where talking out there ass who have never even been to sno? maybe even just a general pasr meeting with the management of sno so we can all get on the same page? cuz i know i'm not the only one who's counting the days till the season starts...
  7. i'm thinking about buying a pass instead of working there this season, even if i do work there i think it would be worth it for the connivence. but i would really like to know what there plans are on the 22ft beOch. I went up this weekend and asked a former supervisor if they had started the dirt work and they didn't start yet nor did he know if they were going to, not that i would make my decision because i want the pipe, its just that it would be really really stupid of them to not take the time to do it, I mean they wasted so much man hours, money, resources and the fact that they had the trail closed for so long really was an inconvenience for the customers. personally I would really love to see sno kick ass this winter, especially cuz the farmers almanac says the winters gonna be brutal, but i would really like to see them get it right for once. As for sno cove, i'm glad to see it open (sorta open) i didn't really expect it to be open fully, i mean its a lot of work to get that together and that zip line looks awesome, if anything go up just to see the thing. so to wrap up, working at sno was a lot of fun and i would recommend it to anyone who's short on cash cuz passe aren't cheep, (god it sounds like i'm advertising them doesn't it) but I don't know if I went one day this summer with out thinking about snowboarding and i have a lot of great ideas for the park. One more thought, I really hope that the price of diesel doesn't effect the grooming this year and you know its gonna be tough getin people to drive up there with the price of gas, so thats my only worry with buying a pass, them skimping on quality to save a buck but if its what they gotta do to stay alive... i'm sure all mtn's are in the same boat though... maybe i'll buy one just to support the mountain.
  8. Rainy monday, Kinda depicts the season though right?
  9. Yup, That vid was pretty good man, I'll give you that, lol check out mine, If that doesent work just search "Dave Clauss" on Youtube
  10. I meant May 5th lol that was stupid.
  11. DAMN! its march 5, and u guys are still goin at it... lets see if this bullshit lasts longer than the 22ft pipe, and ski, I don't know much about rob, but from looking at it as someone who barely reads these posts, that would have made no sense, thats all i'm saying, and if thats true, dude that is fucked up... and Rob, Have you ever skied at Sno? if not, WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE ABOUT IT!!! Being passionate about your mountain and wanting to give your opinion is one thing, being passionate about bashing someone else's mountain and taking it down, thats just really lame man, and why do you still even check sno's forum, i'm not saying you shouldn't, i'm just saying, ski season's been over for over a month, i just started posting things because of the water park and how much was left of the 22ft pipe. get over it man! I guess if there's one thing I'm good at, its starting some good fights on PASR. .
  12. I never got injured, I saw a post about me, maybe you read it wrong, I helped a kid who got hurt pretty bad, maybe thats what you meant? and I'm only 20... Ohh and as for ski, I respect you man, but pappa's right, that made no sense, and sometimes you do start fights in threads that ruin them.
  13. Dennis, Maybe they have said it to you, but they don't take the time to bitch about it on a stupid forum. Mark even helped design stuff didn't he? Pappasteeze, Remember when I started That Thread trying to get some good creative ideas for the park? why don't you go back and look at how many people took that thread as a place to bitch and complain for personal feuds , it was absolutely useless, suggestions? all I see are useless remarks from people who in some cases haven't even been to Sno, and complaining about things they don't even know about, You say passionate about their ideas? I'm not saying if you don't have skillz don't complain or make suggestions, but they should know what the hell there talking about before saying it. I do sometimes see some good things on here, but most of the time its personal fights. The last month of sno was amazing but you never see people say good things about it. the last day sno was open we had like 95% of our trails open. This season was really rough, we got so much rain we were pretty much making a new park every 3 weeks. And all this shit i'm saying about flaming pertains to back when I was trying to get ideas for the park on here, since I was an employee and the managers look at these threads like 5 times a day, I kinda couldn't say what I really wanted. I've wanted to say this stuff for a really long time, and the thing about skiers was kinda wrong and I apologize but when you really look at these feuds, it is mostly skiers, just an observation. And as for the money thing with Sno, from what I herd, things like the zaugg and new lights, are from grants (Free Money), other things are used as write off's when they loose money. Expenditures like paying employee's, well, we get screwed. Everyone on the park crew got screwed over, Dennis and Nick know what i'm sayin. But I still love riding and Its my home Mountain, I take shit personally when people take it down, Pappa, You probably feel the same about boulder right? ohh and back when i said the snow making would be done in like 3 or 4 days for the 22ft pipe and the one manager said on here I was really wrong, I herd that info from a snowmaker and he was right... just wanted to set that straight, So Hopefully Sno doesent give us a park to complain about next year, but i'm sure people will still complain no matter what, Peace. I doubt it, It's not worth it for them, but it would be sick, plus with the water park construction, everything is a mess up there.
  14. It wasn't because maintenance it was because of the warm weather. Lets just hope they don't get lazy and forget to do the dirt work this summer... and nick, how many jumps do you think you could fit from that head wall down, 3 maybe? plus the park would have to be shut down for a week, and how much money with cat work do you think it would cost to push all that snow around, when the mountain was already loosing money because after the rev tour, ticket sales dropped a lot, that last event we had was a joke (Not because of us, nobody showed up) Ya the last 2 weeks the pipe sucked but that was just because the sun and the rain we got. Sno can go and waste all the money they want, they (Hopefully) know what there doing, it doesn't effect you guys so why do you think your making a point by telling them how to run a ski resort? and one more thing, why is it always the skiers who bitch and moan about the mountain? I almost never see any shredders throwing a bitch fit about stupid shit that you have no control over, So, Chill out. Skiing has come a long way but some of you guys are still sounding like the stereotypical stuck-up pricks we have all grown to hate. (Excluding SKI, he's the man) So pull those polls out of your asses and smoke a B cuz you seriously need to CHILL OUT I've also noticed that kids that are actually good at skiing and riding don't complain about the park, if they fall or have a bad day they don't go blaming it on everyone but themselves, so maybe its not the park, maybe it was you and you suck, your insecure about your skillz so you try to take the park down because it makes you feel better about yourself. so unless your like Mark S or Sean J, I don't want to hear your sorry shit on how much you think the park sucks (I've wanted to say that all year) PEACE!
  15. Nahh, just don't have a job to loose anymore so I guess I can now say whatever I want, but then again, I may need (or want) a job next year...
  16. from the parking lot the 22ft pipe still looks like it has 10+ft left
  17. I drove up today just to check out the progress, what was strange is when i was driving up the mountain, i was behind 2 unmarked police cars which turned where the concert parking is and while i was leaving (going down the mountain) another police car passed me going up, weird?, while i was up there i noticed that the 22ft pipe looks like its still 10-15ft worth of snow left along with the last jump on spike, the 13ftr still has remains as well. It was pretty foggy up there but i noticed a small road going straight up (I think it was) mainline, probably for the zip rider and it did look like there kicking ass on the water park, tried to get some pics on the cell but they didn't come out well, I doubt it will be open for memorial day weekend but hope it is.
  18. Man now thats what i like to see Pappa, a decent suggestion for something we should do in the park from you, But they are not gonna abandon the 22ft pipe. Thank you for your suggestion though. But with this I've decide i'm not going to continue with this , I just don't think its my place to be providing information to you guys, I Know one of these times I'm gonna really regret something i say, so I hope i've been helpful to some of you and i'll keep an eye on my thread so please keep it professional and if you have a question i will answer it through a PM. So have fun out there and don't take things too seriously, Dave C.
  19. Can you do me a favor and try and remember what day you were there? the only reason we would be on northface would be during that boarder x race because it would have been the fastest route to the shop (Besides from walking up the hill from iron horse), but other than that they may have just been wearing the coat after there shift, they do make really good rain coats... (if it was raining) I really hope you're not making this up just to get someone in trouble, but if you can remember the date and around the time you witnessed this it would help.
  20. Next time that stair case will be set up in 2 separate pieces so that we can mellow it out and it wont be as bad, as for the 22ft pipe, Its gonna happen no matter what. But thanks for the input on the setup, that is what this thread is meant for and your feedback is appreciated.
  21. I guess he wants to get this thread locked?
  22. Ohh well, but hey this website wasn't meant to be for attacks like this, its to talk about the mountain and stuff. just please keep it out of our park thread so it can still be useful to those who care about it?
  23. Cant say that I do bud, maybe dwy33 can help
  24. lol then you probably saw us trying to fix our poor sign that got knocked over from the winds, it was real bad wasent it? me and the guy i was workin with just decided to ride down the park when it was at its worse and with the wind blowing so hard we could barely move and we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us, I've never seen winds like that before.
  25. No problem bud
