  1. A group of governors representing states across the Northeast convened on Thursday for a marijuana summit at which they agreed to basic principles for legal cannabis programs they plan to pursue in 2020.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) organized the meeting. They were joined by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D), who came out in favor of legalization last month. Representatives from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Colorado also attended.

They do a WW2 weekend in reading every year in June.  Pretty cool to see. I like to take the kayak out on the schuylkill and watch the planes fly just over the tops of the trees

I went to the Reading WWII air show for many years with my grandfather where he spoke on his role on the flight crew for both atomic missions.

The state Senate voted 33-4 to vastly expand New Jersey's medical marijuana program on Thursday. The state Assembly approved the same legislation last week by a 65-5 vote.

Now the bill goes to Gov. Phil Murphy's desk so he can sign it – or veto it.

    He better sign it.

  4. Now the idiots in Trenton are planning to decriminalize weed instead. Up to 2oz the cops will just steal your stash and $50 from your wallet. Over 2oz they will charge you with distrobution.

The most hysterical hypocritical thing about this is this sign:

It should say “Trenton Takes” on both sides.

I'm hoping for legalization in NY soon..
they are doing it right I think...   Legislation instead of voting..   Lot's of states weren't ready for legalization and it took a while to get it all up and running because they had to create laws after the voting.   NY is going to take care of that up front including expunging records of people who had been busted...

NJ was trying to legalize legislatively also, but the politics got in the way. They tried to bundle expungements into the bill also.  People freaked out because they wanted to expunge everyone up to 5 pounds. They did a shitty job explaining that the way the statues were written that 1.01 ounces to 5.0 pounds was all the same class felony.

I hope NY legalizes before PA and NJ. Arresting people over dried flowers is fucking stupid and does far more damage to society than the weed ever could. People from NJ would be flocking over the boarder every day for legal weed in NY. Hell, half of North Jersey will be bringing some home on the train every day. :vaping:

    Edit: New page!

  6. Think about how power hungry and egotistical most "elected representatives" become once they are in office.

Now, ask yourself, do you really think, when the time comes, they are going to actually cede their lawmaking power to everyday citizens?

This is why some people like me no longer trust or have faith in this system of government.  It's too big.

Once the medical is expanded and there's more than 6 dispensaries this summer, I'll go get my card.  Until then I'll keep enjoying these cheap, potent, and tasty carts.

If you have access to a soil line in the basement or some discharge pipe, Hammacher  Schlemmer has a dehumidifier that pumps the water out so one never has to empty the bucket. I don't have a sump pump in the basement, so this is a good option if you are away from the house for extended periods of time during the swampy season.

It's really not a big deal.  It's < 10 steps from the dehumidifier to outside.  I empty it in the morning when I get into my office and again in the evening when I take the trash out.  We have no travels planned anytime soon.

Can you feed the outflow into a drain somewhere?

Unfortunately, no.  There's no sink, or bathroom on the lowest level.  I could run a condensate pump into the washing machine discharge, but that's really a long term solution to a short term problem.

My son has really bad allergies, but mostly just use it because it gets humid as shit in my basement and sort of stinks.

My basement/office is super humid in the summer.  I run a 65 pint dehumidifier (Keystone brand, but I think it's made by LG).  It's about 6 or 7 years old, so I expect it do die at any time now.  I empty it twice a day.
