My work schedule didn’t allow for me to travel to Blue today, so I took the opportunity to go Nordic skiing. I did 5 miles in the beautiful woods of Loantaka.
I had to break trail for the first 1.5 miles. Tiring and it took me a while to find my stride.
After that, there were enough skiers out and one I was in the tracks I really found my groove. A beautiful sunny day and no wind. I don’t do this often enough.

When we first rolled out the ATX digital video boxes in hotels, I saw way too many of these types of places and wired too many DVD players into them.

I noticed yesterday that the ski racks outside of the lodge disappeared. Guess I get to bring my sticks into the bathroom again.
Felt good to make some turns again. I’m got a bit winded after a few runs and my legs felt a little soft. Did 10 runs in two hours so not bad for a Saturday.

I also should add that I’ve been thinking about getting a Belleayre pass since @GSSucks and I were talking about it at the Warren Miller night. This incident pushed me into it.

Don’t be silly. I’m not about money but you knew that already. I probably have some mild PTSD, as every time I close my eyes, I see myself approaching the rollers in my minds eye. And every fucking time there’s still nothing I can do about it.
I want to trust Blue again, but how does one go about doing that? Take Jim’s word for it they they won’t do something negligent again?

I've heard back from JimD. Apparently, they had the rollers on the list to mark, but other (unknown) priorities delayed it until after someone got hurt. He claims to be putting in new process that will delay opening, if known hazards aren't marked. I'm skeptical at best. Jim is asking me to trust him, after he already failed me. I think I may need to break up with Blue for a bit.
