  1. ok.. the side was worked on yes but it wasnt widened to much.. belive me.. the side was removed for new air and water hydrants for the new b6's

Well, just seeing all that new grass planted there, first instinct was to think that they widened the pipe. When i hiked up there, i thought those guns looked new-they weren't familiar. Anyway, i think it's good that blue is making so much commitment to their parks/pipe. The pipe should be good this year- no doubt in my mind. :yes

  2. lucky freeridintre got that before i could. you had a "here's ur sign" coming to u

Yeah, haha. Well shit, i don't surf, and i've probably never been to a surf shop- so how would i know? Yeah, it's obvious, but i was thinking like, an online store. Like a tognar for surfboards. Think about this- where, around here, have you seen a shop selling ptex?.........i know i haven't seen it.

    haha

  3. Talking to a ski instructor last sunday, he said something about a new pipe, maybe close to a super pipe, maybe on the top of sidewinder. Has anyone heard of this? I know forumdestroyer154 posted something about this on SB.com (Sb.com totally blows now).

superpipe? i think ur on crack.. neway.... we just got the zawg its not ready yet thats y pipe wasnt done.. the dragon we used to have wasn't made to cut a pipe just maintain one thats y it suxed.... sidewinder looks damn good.. good snow on it.. need some more on new section though... so i dunno when maybe weekend hopefully.... and who ever said the pipe was widened.. not true its same.... but zawg will help it alot

I never said superpipe. i said "maybe close to a super pipe." What i meant was- bigger than the one they currently have. Also, i'm convinced that they widened their pipe. Check these pics out. They look pretty convincing for me, but then again, i don't work there. Also, i was at blue yesterday, and there is a shit-load of snow up on sidewinder- it's amazing. :rock

  5. I had the same problem. If it's a new board, try calling the maunfacturer. If not, then just get some quick set epoxy, fill it in, level it with a scraper, and let it cure. Oh yeah, and you might want to rough up the area with some sandpaper for best bonding. after you do that, if you care about aesthetics, shape it down with some sandpaper, and paint it/color it so it blends in.

  6. I had some trouble with the loft. I wouldn't really call it trouble, though. I ordered my helmet, along with a goggle lens , and it didn't come in until a month and a half later. My one friend told me that they are usually way off on their times, so i was ready for it. It really didn't bother me that much. Nestors is OK. I've bought stuff there, and i can't really complain. I just don't like the new whitehall store. It's so boring!. I like how it used to be, all cozy and stuff- like the water fountiain with tons of stickers. Army navy is alright- they always seem to have more wax and tools than anyone else, but i've never bought anything there. I did try to order some palmer PLS plates- they said they'd call me when they came in, but never did. (they thought they were getting in the model i wanted, but i guess they weren't.) Pelican is cool too. I bought my binders there and the people were really cool. I do a lot of my business through online stuff, or catalogs- the house is awesome. They almost always have what i want, and they give you free stuff if you spend so much! ( ex- dvds and vids ) :rock

  7. Only one thing got me on the ride home... I stopped at Sheetz (is there really any way to not stop at Sheetz?) and well, I watched an attendant proceed to pick up hot dogs that fell on the floor and NOT throw them out did I just start a Sheetz thread?

if I go crazy will you still call me superman?

 I had a hot dog there friday! :confused i thought it tasted funny. And yes, you just started a WAWA vs Sheetz thread.

There's actually a wawa like, 15 minutes away from sheetz, the one on schoenersville rd, probably not on the way. There's also one in Easton, and there's another one being put up on schoenersville, down past westgate mall, near bethelehem. Oh yeah, and there's one on Tilghman street. Oh yeah, and there's one on Washington street in Easton.

  8. Yep. You are right.

To me its a waste to go to Bear Creek when I can easily drive an extra 1/2 hour and get to Mountain Creek.

Mountain Creeks park has Bear Creeks park beat in every possible way. Design, flow, variety, difficulty, # of features, grooming, setup...you name it! The only advantage to Bear Creek is that its less crowded on the weekends which doesnt matter to me because only idiots ride on the weekend, everyplace is crowded.

Its an easy decision. THe only people that should be going to Bear Creek is the people who don't drive or cant afford gas. Or beginner park riders.

To you, it's a waste to go there, but to others, that extra 1/2 hour (i don't drive, but i don't think it's that short, correct me if i'm wrong) could add a lot to their trip. Maybe some people see that extra half hour as an extra hour, total, just don't want to drive that much. What if you just want to go and get in a few laps on a week night? What if you just plain like bear better? Compared to the local parks (not including mountain creek), Bear's park is pretty nice. You never said bear's park sucks, but if you're so against it, say why. I'd love to know, and I'm sure everyone else would too. I'm not sure why you're trying to compare two unlike things. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, which are different for different people. mojoskier started this topic to get people's opinion on Bear's park, not how it rates compared to mountian creek.

DUDE...Do you think I care if any of you like me?

    NOOOOOOO

You people are ignorant. If you ride during the midweek, Mountain Creek is not overcrowded and its got a park that Bear Creek only DREAMS of building. No matter what you say, and how many times you keep claming it, the REAL riders know that MC is worlds better than Bear.

Pasucks, how old are you? Do you have a job? Are you a dropout, or just skipping school? What? A lot of people can't ride midweek, because they have other priorities. The weekend is when they ride, it's when they can. For bear creek's size, their park is nice. They dream of building a park like mc's, sure, but they're making the best with what they have (vertical, acerage), and i don't know why you'd put them down for that. Have you ever ridden there? Did you honestly hate the parks? Maybe you did- that's your opinion. No one said you have to go there.

No one on this board is dissing MC. I don't understand why you always get so defensive whenever someone talks about their park. You're kinda like a salesman. (are you a salesman?)

I kinda forgot what this topic was about. I've never been to Bear's park, but from what i've seen in pics, and what i've heard, i wouldn't mind going there, at all. Their parks are nicer than I'm used to, along with many others. Maybe i will go this winter.

  9. I thik its a cool idea and I am prety sure more of their boards will be fearturing this system this year. The idea is that there is more than one effective edge, the effective edge goes in and out so you havce a bunch of small contact points, kind of like a bunch of small hockey skates on the side of your board. Form what I have heard the board rides real good and excels in bad conditions. I would like to demo one before I went out and bought one though. With the edges going in and out like they do I would think it would be very diffficult to tune.

Yeah, how the hell would you tune your edges? I can see doing the base edge, but what about the side edge?

burtons a bunch of assholes that steal everyones ideas because they have money

but anyway, the lib tech rep that came to our shop was telling us how amazing the magna traction is. everyone i know who has tried one has loved it and will never go back to a regular board. lib is so seroius with this idea that they are actually thinking about how long it will take until they get rid of traditional edges on boards and have only magna traction. i plan on demoing it this year, and most likely will be buying a board with it next year.

and for you skiers, you'll definetely be excited with what lib has to offer next year....

Yeah, just like the thing with the baltimore toe strap and the capstrap. I heard somewhere that they both came up with the idea at the same time, and agreed to share the patent- You know that burton put out some money for that. I think it was technine's idea. What about the skiers- Is lib going to start making skis or something with the magne traction?

  10. dc boots are fucking great, as well as 32. those are probably your top 2 brands for boots since its all they specialize in. make sure you get a boot that fits you perfectly and you're comfortable. you might want to try out a boot with the BOA system too, i've heard only good things about them

i hope you mean northwave, haha. the fact that they are in the drake family is disappointing, but at least they make decent boots.

dc boots have serious durability and warranty issues, but some swear by them. the jury is out. thirtytwo is undeniably solid. stay away from boa! horrible! be prepared for endless breakage, and not much, if any time saved from lacing. boa was meant to stay on wake boards. a bad idea to transplant the technology.

Side Note: Take a good look at ThirtyTwo. They make high quality boots and are relatively inexpensive. My next boot purchase will probably be ThirtyTwo.

I'd have to reccomend any 32 boots. I've had two pairs, and i love them. All of the boots they make are heat moldable- you can go to the shop and have them molded, or- within 2 days of riding, they'll mold to your feet. 32 boots are super comfortable, and they're light. I'd stay away from DC, because i've heard of the air bladders breaking, like somone said. I've never heard one bad thing about 32 boots, and i don't think i'll ever get anything else.

  11. Skier150 actively promotes Blues new Freeride program, however I am not sure of what his position is? We are actively seeking a mountain Representative for Blue... Inside info about blue has been scant so far this season.. WHERE ARE YOU BLUE????????

Call me impatient, but blue's updates are few and far in between ( i think that's how you say it ) - out of all of the mts, i would have to say that camelback's site, and updates, are a lot better than anyone elses

  12. for that setup to work, we would have to go straight at it and then under the lift in the background. but the trail doesnt go that way. rhodo doesnt go under a lift, and rhodo is on the other side of that double.

so i have no idea whats going on here. someone explain this?

edit: OH!!! you come off that triple above pocono raceway and turn right towards the park. then right on the very top of rhodo, is the wall. you hit the wall, come down off of it, and turn down into rhodo. wow, im such an idiot haha :)

    right?

Nope, i don't think it's there. :idea I think that it's at the bottom of Rhodo. You go down Rhodo, and i think the wallride is at the intersection of Rhodo and Lower Moore's Ramble, and it's pointing downhill.

  13. its not really done i dont think, they just did that on the computer. i think the wood will rot, even if it's pressure treated.

what trail is that on? it looks different then all of the other pics that were on the site. it seems like the moved it?

edit: i may have just made a really dumb post, but that pic confuses me as to the location and position of it.

See, i thought it looked photoshopped. I can't figure out, for the life of me, where the hell that is. :confused

  14. I'm sure you've all seen this already. Looks pretty nice if you ask me.

Just looking closely at this... doesn't that look a little odd, the coloring? Probably not, but it just bothered me
