  1. hi. i'm in a similar situation. i have a bunch of people going on saturday to big boulder. we planned this for a while so i'm also a bit unhappy with the weather but what can i do.
  2. i use windows live movie maker. it's really easy but with that simplicity comes lack of depth. still, there are plenty of animations, transitions, and effects to keep one busy for a while. plus it's free.
  3. hi. thanks for reading this. i know there are some gas stations and such that have coupons for other resorts in the poconos but do you know of any that have coupons for jfbb? thanks:)
  4. so far i have this... http://www.emiliosskishop.com/trips.html https://store.homagebrooklyn.com/index.php?c=45 http://www.bladesnyc.com/#trips http://www.paragonsports.com/ http://www.urbansherpatravel.com/ any others would be appreciated.
  5. hi. i travel from nyc to philly and back again a lot. what is the closest resort between these two places (like anything off the NJT) that is not far from either city. thanks.
  6. my favorite dougie video of all time.
  7. i always wondered why blue never had any ticket deals (i think late in the season there is a BOGO). i guess they don't need deals for people to come but it's definitely harmful to my wallet as i love blue but don't opt for the season pass. camelback - triple tickets jfbb - 3 and 6 packs bear creek - mid day (not sure about what deals are here either).
  8. thanks GRILLED! have you heard of this place called THUNDER RIDGE? supposedly it's accessible via metro. http://thunderridgeski.com/
  9. Hi. Thanks for reading this. My girlfriend moved up to NYC (Queens to be exact) and I may end up following her but for now, is there anywhere I can go to around NYC? I am from Philadelphia and have enjoyed the Poconos (Blue, Bear, Camel) and would like something similar in distance, etc. I am looking for any advice of what boarders/skiers do around NYC area besides going all the way to VT.
  10. just called camelback. won't be opening this week. at the very best, possibly a small part of the park.
  11. hi mates. i'm really thinking about going to belleayre this weekend as it's the closest mountain that will actually be open (projected). does anyone know of the cheapest lodging i can find? i couldn't find a motel 6 or anything near it.
  12. does anyone have a condition report for today? i was thinking about going up with a few friends to learn.
  13. Hi mates. Sometimes I'll see groups of people skiing with just one ski attached. Is this done as training or is it a type of riding?
  14. my agent top layer chipped in three places first time out. i may have to file it down. i think the agent is a great board. soft!
  15. this info is good. how would you gather saturday to be after the rainfall on friday? http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/USPA1621.html
  16. hiya. i paid $60. not sure if it was busy as it was my first time there. i would say lift lines took roughly 5 - 10 minutes. my friend from md told me that since it's one of the closer ones to DE/MD and there aren't many options within an hour and a half away, that they can charge what they want, despite how the mountain or trails are.
  17. hi. was here over the weekend. thanks for the good time but i think they overcharge a bit here.
  18. hi. i'm relatively new to the poconos. how long does the season usually last here on average? with the current weather do we expect to still have ample conditions through march/april? thanks.
  19. thanks all. helpful as always. sometimes i see you guys post things making fun of newbies... but you guys are sincerely swell:)
  20. hi. i was trying to take up a few friends to blue or camelback this weekend and i checked the weather forecast. it says high 45 and low 23 with a 40% chance of rain/snow. i have never snowboarded in temperatures higher than 38 and never in rain. i was wondering what to expect with the forecast like this. thank you!
