Well, wouldn't you know it, I was all hyped to go and ended up hatching a damn chest cold...

How are the crowd during the week? Are they thin, like other resorts?

Thanks everybody for the input. The only thing that will keep me back will be if we get a huge storm...then I will probably end up at frost or boulder, depending on the roads.

If you stay toward the east side, the lines won't be bad...if there are any. I might end up there Friday, with all the new snow and it will be untouched because it started after close on Thursday.

I'm hoping to get to Elk this Monday. It's about 1.5 hr drive for me. From what I've heard, it should be worth the drive, am I correct?

Wednesday morning at JF was excellent. The diamonds were left ungroomed!! Floyd was nice and bumped up and the east side from thunderbolt over were not groomed

I've only saw the elevator @ JF open the first week that the east side was open. That's the only time I saw that it was bumped up. Anybody know if it has always been this way... do they make snow on it the first of the year, then eventually mow it over and never let it bump up and go ungroomed, or did the liability aspect of injury have anything to do with it?

I've been on it before and know its not the most exciting trail, but it's still another trail to have. I also was looking at the area under the merry widow lifts and thought that would be a decent run...its nice and narrow in areas. Is this do-able when there is a lot of natural snow?

I was at BB Friday 18th and Sunday 20th and Snow drift was closed. The only thing I could think of was because of ice on the top half, other than that, it looked ok. It's listed as a diamond, so a little ice shouldn't be a reason to close it
