  1. That would be for a midweek pass, since I didn't go on any weekends in 2011.
  2. I see some things don't change around here. Anyway, I skied 14 times in 2011, all at JFBB. I just sort of lost interest and hated going out when it was cold. I didn't even get a pass in 2012 and didn't ski at all. I just didn't feel like it and had other areas to put my money. This year, I might go out a few times. I don't know about a pass. I see that Montage has a morning lift ticket for $20, which is an excellent option for somebody like me. I'm surprised that more places don't go back to offering morning or half day tickets. I might hit JF, I do miss the place and employees. I just don't think I will get there enough to make buying a pass worth it. I guess it might come down to quantity vs quality. Nobody beats the snow quality and grooming at JF. I can't see myself doing more than 15 days, if that, though. 10 days at JF pays for that pass at $400. 10 days at Montage will only be $200, so I guess I have some thinking to do...lol . JFBB will always be my "home" though.
  3. As long as they get rid of the bumps on exhibition. The left side is the most consistant part of that trail and having bumps on it ruins it, IMO
  4. IMO, lack of moderation, on line fights, immaturity, and the vulgarity that has become common is what killed the site.
  5. Probably right. Baseball season is here, so I'm ready to go to more Yankee games .
  6. Couple of pics, one of old Yankee Stadium, from the Yankees home opener. Sad to see the old stadium going.
  7. If it wasn't so far away, I'd do it. From the website: Thanks to everyone who made this year one of the best ever! And for all the super-hardcores out there, we still have snow if you are willing to hike to earn your turns!
  8. I guess we can't complain. If it wasn't for the last huge snow storm, places probably would have closed up early, with this heat that we've had. March to now has been way too warm for me. x2.
  9. Stay open this weekend. It's supposed to get cold at night again.
  10. 5 degree temp difference really makes a big difference. Even during the middle of the winter, I can tell the difference in snow quality. CB seems to have a higher water content, which makes it heavier. It eventually also seems to melt off quicker (might also be due to the higher traffic at CB).
  11. Rode the lift with you, but didn't know it.
  12. There's also still snow on the trails that they don't have open.
  13. I got there at 12:15 and stayed until 2:20. Snow was still pretty decent. Be there again tomorrow.
  14. I was going to go Thursday, but went to Bell instead. Windham was scheduled to only groom 12 trails. Bell groomed most of their's, so I went there since I don't like bumps. Conditions were excellent.
  15. It was really nice again on Sunday. They have enough snow to get through the rain. With the warm temps expected, it might get a little sketchy though. I plan on doing a couple day trips to Bell, this week. Maybe Thursday and Friday.
  16. Get out there and see for yourself. I'll be there in 8 hours .
  17. Forecast looks horrible. Heavy rain early in the week, with temps in the 80's toward the weekend. Some weather buffs on a message board I monitor are debating if it could reach 90, by next weekend. This spring has been too warm for my liking. I hate warm weather.
  18. I got on the snow at BB at 11:45, after doing some resort shuffling. I was surprised how many people were at BB, with CB still being open. There was about a 6 or 7 chair wait at times. I spoke to somebody who said there was a line at the ticket window when they got there. Conditions were phenominal. The snow wasn't hard at all - it was perfect, nice and soft for carving. I ended up lapping Mittl Weg and Draufganger all day, for 30 runs. Excellent job on grooming.
  19. I slept in and got on the snow at 10:45, hoping that it would have softened up. To my disappointment, I found big piles of heavy sugar with lots of ice on the headwalls. I couldn't stand the conditions, so after 4 runs I bolted and went to BB, which I originally thought would be better. I got on the snow at BB at 11:45 and it was like going to heaven. The snow was nice and soft and I couldn't find any icy spots . I ended up doing 30 runs and bolted about 3:30.
  20. How come Sitzmark and Widow aren't open in late season? I'm assuming it's so only one lift has to be ran?
  21. Triple chairs would still take care of that. I should have clarified it better. I was just pointing out how much area it could cover, when the snow is firm.
  22. I'm not worried about Saturday. I'm worried about driving and having them not open on Friday. It happend once before to me, in a similar situation. I have to leave by 7:40. They told me they should know by 8:30.
