Ride Delaware ?

Looks like the turning point up here is the 18th, but they won't have enough time to do any major terrain expansion. We will be lucky to resurface and keep the terrain we have.

Hopefully things turn around by the time I come back after XMas/New Years. It's getting thin out there. The spring turns are nice however.

Platty will be fine. Lazlo is known to be one of the most resourceful and conservative owners in the business on the EC. I highly doubt he has very much debt which is why he can run it the way he does.

Pattern change looks to be getting push backed. Not much in the forecast until Wed/Thurs of next week now...

When you going to use those?

That place has really taken off. The new bar area is phenomenal.

I pretty much patrol every day so that I have something to do. I don't like to just sit around after 2-3 hours on the same terrain. I'll start going elsewhere when conditions and terrain improves. Going to Waterbury tonight to Blue Stone pizza. Can't wait till the one open in the valley.

Looks like some colder (but not cold) air will be coming to New England sometime early next week. Should be able to make some decent snow, but it looks like it may still be too warm to optimally blow down low. Unless we get a dump, beginner terrain will really be lacking up here.

I don't think I'm breaking any personal records this year...

Definitely a rough start, and it doesn't look to be getting any better in the short term. It looks like there is some cold coming back in about two weeks, but until then, it's going to be pretty warm without snowmaking weather, even up here in VT. I think it will be a meager Christmas unless we get a huge dump. Can't even open the beginner hill/ski school because we don't have the temps to blow down low.

Blue Knob is out in the middle of nowhere. Not a ton of snowmaking and an upside down mountain. Awesome trails. Very old school. Great glades if the woods are filled in. Not as busy as some of the big places (7 Springs).

I don't know ski2live, that seems like a pretty bold statement. Bell is 35 min off 87 while Hunter is another exit north plus some windy roads. Google is showing them 2 minutes apart...

Finally got t2b. Potential of 3-6" up top depending on when the cold arrives. Been raining like crazy.

I think they own the land, so that should make it easier.

There is definitely room for expansion there. It will be interesting to see if they add to the bed base. There's also significant summer revenue to be had there if they can figure out what works.
