  1. They very well could be. They are that old that those ratios wouldn't be unheard of. Some of these new tower guns are running with only 25cfm of air now. It is amazing.
  2. Yes, these look like TechnoAlpin low energy tower guns. Basically a newer, efficient version of a York Snow Borax tower gun like you see on paradise, razors edge etc. I haven't been to blue in over 10 years, but back then they still had the old air/water style guns on Burma. Those were a combination of home made, omichron's on towers, and some really old spraying systems style guns when they dabbled in the snowmaking business back in the late 60's/early 70's. The advantage to these new guns are they are much more efficient in air consumption. Depending what they bought, you could probably run 7-10 new ones to one old gun. Most of the TechnoAplin towers usually have a built in compressor too so they don't have to pump air up the mountain. These guns are very easy to automate, basically right off the hydrants themselves. Snow quality will be much better as well.
  3. Good luck explaining that one to my aunt. The virus was spreading before he was even impeached too. People with her thinking don't seem to like logic.
  4. I've made an observation the past few months and I'm astounded how many people have flipped political views over this virus. There's my aunt who was a diehard democrat her entire life. When Trump won she was very vocal about it for months and criticized him. Now she's voting for him because she thinks the virus was designed to destroy him since impeachment didn't work. Now she buys into a lot of conspiracy theories and likes to spread them all over FB. Then there are people who voted for him and stood by him for everything but are no longer supporting him because of how he handled the virus. The protests were also another turning point for some people I know. A guy I know was a diehard republican and you never would have thought he'd vote for a democrat. He voted for Trump and now is so vocal against him it is insane and is voting for Biden. Sometimes I read what these people are posting and I can't help but recall all the stuff they used to say. Crazy times we are in lol.
  5. Not until she came inside and only because I made clear outside is one thing, inside is another. I have a really small office so keeping apart is not easy.
  6. Met with a woman today who wants to sell me her car. We introduce ourselves outside then she says, "I only brought a mask because some people are funny if you don't wear one." Next 10 minutes was about how the $600 unemployment better not get extended. I was like can we just look at the car and decide if you want to sell to me or not. Side note, did anyone else see BMDI is for sale? I keep seeing ads on FB about it.
  7. Property manager that manages my building at the shore tested positive.
  8. My mom went to the chiropractor yesterday. She's been putting it off because of the virus. She gets there and said when she walked in she was the only one wearing a mask. She made some comment and the girl at the desk said, "masks are optional at chiropractor offices". A guy in the lobby makes small talk with her and says he works for a place that makes ventilators (supposedly) and he starts saying how masks don't work blah blah blah. She gets to the back and the chiropractor said to her how he hasn't seen her in awhile and she said because of the virus she's been putting off coming. He basically rolled his eyes and then proceeded to adjust her back without a mask. My mom is not going back Monday and is now looking for a new chiropractor. Honestly knowing my mom, I'm surprised she didn't turn around and walk out yesterday. Her back must have been really bad and that's the only reason she stayed.
  9. Allegheny county really didn't have many cases for a long time. So I think a lot of the spike right now is the first wave that never really showed up there. The problem now is, they were open before us because of the low numbers and now that the virus showed up it is spreading like wildfire. Erie wasn't hard hit either.
  10. Could you imagine if the Three Mile Island Nuclear plant accident happened today? People would be defiant of any evacuation/shelter in place orders because "the government can't tell me what to do". But when Karen ignores the orders and starts glowing and growing a second head because she just had to go to Chili's, she will be the first to want to sue and be vocal how the government failed on their response.
  11. It is funny watching people freak out acting like every time they open their front door and step outside they need to put a mask on. I guess they just read the headline and it fits their anti mask agenda so they run with it instead of reading the details in the article.
  12. Sounds like Larry Kudlow on CNBC in December 2007 saying there is no recession coming and the housing market is not going to implode. He said that was all hype and scare tactics from the media. We all saw what happened there. Actually, this week Larry Kudlow was on TV saying there will be no second wave of Covid-19. I've come to learn whatever Larry Kudlow tells you to expect the complete opposite.
  13. I'm out in New Tripoli. So I guess people think because this is the boondocks that the virus magically isn't here. When I say something I get the look from locals like, "you don't really buy into this shit do you?" I just tell them I don't want to deal with any repercussions so I'd appreciate if they'd humor me and put the mask on.
  14. Since my business reopened to the public, the majority of people showing up have not been wearing masks. They just come on in and ignore the sign on the door.
  15. Not that I know of but if it keeps getting worse I would not be surprised.
  16. Yep. My sister came home from Florida with her boyfriend in early May for two weeks. Her boyfriend kept saying how he is glad he does not live in the liberal north any more and that it is stupid everything was closed down here. Got news for him, it is probably gonna happen now in Florida. Him and his family have no common sense and still call this a hoax. Really interesting times when his family and mine are on complete opposite sides of the political spectrum.
  17. Anybody that works at a dealership that specializes in bad credit can sell a car to anyone if they are willing to pay an absurd interest rate. He thinks he's this guru and he's not. He just knows how to market himself on social media. For someone trying to start a business on his own he's not too smart posting controversial topics on his facebook. Went to OCMD this weekend to open my condo up for the first time this season. Walked up to the beach by the dune and it was packed. I mainly stayed at my place and walked/biked the neighborhood. Harpoon Hannah's two blocks from my place was packed every night. Definitely over the 30% seating capacity they are permitted.
  18. I believe that is the plan unless they change it. Also, been laughing at the feud you've been getting into with Bill Hav on FB. I almost died today when you said he's only good at selling cars and making babies. He talks out of his ass and some of his "friends" aren't too smart either. I was supposed to go last week but they called and said they had to reschedule because the hygienists aren't back yet. I was glad because I didn't want to go yet, I'm rescheduled for October now.
  19. In your case, I would say no you can't register right now. Only dealers that are online with PennDOT are allowed to be open and as far as I know can only do tag work for vehicles they are selling. Tag agencies that the public and some dealers would go to are only permitted to be open in the yellow counties. I had a guy call me yesterday who wanted to register a boat and trailer that is in a similar position as you. I don't do those any way, but told the guy he's out of luck until our county goes into the yellow phase.
  20. How are you guys handling the title work at your dealership? Are you doing it like "normal" with precautions or are you doing it like they want with a power of attorney or e-notarization? I'm curious because everyone seems to be doing it a different way. I've been seeing some dealers allow test drives too even though they aren't technically allowed. The guidance we got is really confusing and contradicts itself.
  21. I thought the same thing. Must be different in CT. Around here it sounds like unless you are pretty bad you can't even get a test because of them running short.
  22. Yeah he wasn't thrilled about taking her to the emergency room at a time like this but what are you going to do. He's got a mild case so far and he's just hoping he didn't spread it in the mean time or that she doesn't test positive.
  23. On a side note, someone I know from Connecticut found out today they tested positive. He lives in CT but his business is just over the line in New York. He thinks he got it from taking his mom to the hospital the other week for an unrelated illness or picked it up from her after she was discharged.
