  1. Must have missed this inside information. But I accept your apology for Doug's chins.
  2. 69 news just said they are shooting for opening wednesday
  3. I initially stopped because a family members health declined and I was helping with them. They passed away and I ended up not skiing another year. Then I realized working by myself it probably wouldn't do me any good if I got hurt skiing. So that's when I pretty much gave it up. Dating lol. My sister tried setting me up with one of her friends recently. She's older then me in her early 30s. Always complains there are no good men left in this world. Yet no matter what I do for her ever satisfies her. We got in a fight yesterday over the fact I wouldn't find her the very specific Ford Edge she wants that she can't afford. I was supposed to drop everything and find it for her. Oh well, looks like I may have more time for skiing if I get back into it.
  4. I was thinking about it again. Earlier this week I was browsing new skis online. Probably won't but this is the closest I've been in awhile.
  5. He should be making an appearance soon once blue announces the opening date.
  6. So you are saying there is a chance El Chapo is on here? SMH I bet it's Rajeev.
  7. Probably the funniest post in this thread. I too looked up the map to see just where hell WM was. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it was Raceway.
  8. Oh OK. No wrong doing going on here. Carry on.
  9. For some reason these private group chats remind me of Hilary Clinton's email server. We better open an investigation into this matter at once.
  10. My dad took up skiing at 40 because it was something I really wanted to do. He was a real piss on skis. You guys would have probably loved him. He snowplowed his way down EVERY trail at blue and he'd lean so far back that his back literally touched the snow on the steeper trails. His wipe outs were beyond ridiculous. Quite honestly, I don't know how he never got seriously hurt all the years we skied together. My dad always had a hard time skiing Burma. He'd "lay it down" as he would put it at every turn. The times he didn't lay it down, he usually ended up getting caught by the net. That never discouraged him from trying the harder trails. He'd just light up a cigarette and literally smoke it as he skied down the trail in a full blown pizza wedge. His first time down falls was terrifying for me. One of my favorite memories was when we were booting up in the summit lodge. My dad said, "I wonder if you are allowed to smoke in here." Some guy pops his head out of a door way, smoking a pipe, and says "Of course you can, I own this place." It was an older guy and he didn't look like much so I didn't really believe he owned the place. I later found out it was in fact Ray Tuthill. He'd probably roll in his grave now knowing the state doesn't allow you to smoke indoors.
  11. This Morning Call article says they are shooting for the second week of December. http://www.mcall.com/business/mc-ski-season-start-20161125-story.html
  12. I got inside info they are gonna blow tonight!
  13. Just saw them on now driving up 145 from Lowes.
  14. I was always the oddball who parked at the top lot. Mainly because it was the closest lot from where I was coming from. Could never see the benefit of parking at the bottom and then having to drive back up the mountain to go home.
  15. This weekend the clocks go back. Hopefully by the middle of the month we can resurrect the "Zee Lights" thread.
  16. Don't laugh but try mothballs to get rid of the groundhog. I was skeptical when the old PA dutch guy told me about it, but I tried and it worked! For whatever reason groundhogs do not like mothballs and he vacated after I put some in his hole.
  17. Yes. It was a little hill. If they stayed open longer then they did, they probably would have closed by now anyway due to the unpredictable weather. Jaindl owns the property now and he wanted to build houses on it but the township made it near impossible. My uncles and their friends used to go there when it was open if they didn't feel like driving to Camelback after work. Here's a link to some pics of what's left of Apple Hill http://www.dcski.com/lostareas/viewlostprofile.php?id=32
  18. Wow just wow Shaking my herman. Racckkkk ittttt
  19. It should just be limited to specific members. Only one comes to mind at the present time... and enoralas, I think you need to change your name to enchiladas. Every time I see it that's what I think it is
  20. Stop mentioning all the cookies at blue. I don't want a repeat of last season when this guy showed up.
  21. This is a great idea. I should start doing the same.
