  1. you can hit it any way you like, i've hit it at least 4 different ways so far
  2. i agree that the range is features between the parks is a little wide but i mean most of us have been waiting for some BIG features for a while now and i personally am happy. I've been having a blast in the rhodo park. Jibzilla is one of the most fun things i've ridden in a while. i feel the gap ons are fine, if you hit the feature with enough speed you'll finish the rail and te gap will be fine. I didn't like how wide they made the sides of the flat down, i'd rather come off onto a slant insteast of hitting flat from 10 feet up and bustin my knees (if you've seen the set ups you know what i mean.) the flat down flat was put in sunday too and that was set up fine. Either way i go out and have fun. rhodo has been nice with the park passes so i don't have to deal with teh weekend warriors on the weekend.
  3. CLOSED MEANS CLOSED!! as a park crew member, when we have to close off features we do it out of safety, when a feature may be dangerous and beyond reasonable repair at the time. we do this as precausions cuz we don't people to get hurt, and yet, smart as people still run through the signs or take them out and toss them aside. Then when someone gets hurt on that feature when its closed, we get reeemed for it. So kids when you see something closed, don't be a dick and just go round. Thank you. and for those who don't get the msg. If you get hurt, you deserve what you get. That simple
  4. the guys in the tindy had to test all the features as pre op before it was open to the public. brtndominat i don't know why u had to wait so long for a park pass, saturday morning i was handing out passes right at 9. and as strbrgskibum said, its not as good as mtn creek or big boulder but it is a very big step in the right direction.
  5. --> QUOTE(Matt B @ Feb 3 2007, 04:59 PM) 132489[/snapback] i just got back from the oakley rail jam all i gotta say is wow it was the worst rail jam ever the rail choice wasnt the best and who ever heard of a rail jam with a quarter pipe in it.... the way the event was run was bad it was an open jam and they didnt even let us go without being told ok you can go and like wow camelback is ;sDIhga;sghsdoigheoihyeahhh remember its oakley's rail jam and not necessarily camelback's fault. And sorry u can't hit a quarterpipe guss when it come to real snowboarding the jibbers can't handle it. btw i think austin gregory won, and just so ya know he KILLED it
  6. u can add the new rhodo and oak grove to the list of good things (geting this thread back on track)
  7. theres a 40ft flat rail and the jibzilla box up top, both super fun. then choice of a 40ft jump or a 20 foot jump (the 20 foot had some weird angles to it though) then there's the flat down rail (but today it was an up down) That thing is just huge. if u don't wanna go huge u can hit the wall ride. then after those theres one more 20ft jump witch was like BUTTA. But also there was teh rail or bail today on sunbowl with the c bow boc, flat down box, and flat down flat rail which will all be in rhodo very soon. I really liked rhodo today, i had a blast and the park pass system kept it all sweet all day. Props to CB for making something for the advanced riders! Thanks You!!
  8. ya man i'd totally go with the triple crown, just because the riders we're better and the courses(slopestyle) was actually a slope with some style on it, even though i haven't seen it or heard from it in a while, it wouldn't surprise me that the lame Dew action sports tour replaced it. as far as anouncers, Todd Richards is the only one who desereves to commentate at any event, dingo is horrible,he's just a pro partier like renee renee, but he's an aussie. and you can't watch x-games without hearing that lame fuckhead commentator always worshiping shaun white like he's Zeus or some shit. THANK GOD FOR STEVE FISHER!!
  9. i just got done watchin the new stepchild video teaser and noticed BOOZY THE CLOWN!!!! killin it. I mean defective films is sean johnson's film co. so could this be the triumphant return we've been waiting for??????? watch out gansta posers and steeze obsessed bums, BOOZY THE CLOWN will bring back snowboarding to where its supposed to be.
  10. that is true, but if your getting 4-5 feet out of a superpipe, you should have no fear to charge and boost on somehting CB size
  11. u sure, it does sa follow up to the Mtn Lab DVD, i am assuming that it is another mtn lab movie. Is there a release or article saying it is a full movie? I was lookin round and didn't find one, but with that line up they got now, i'd def be lookin forward to it.
  12. for the record, IT DOES WORK, and if you want proof look at the new teaser for DC MTN LAB VIDEO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! all you would have to do is have a park crew just check on it to make sure the snow holds up and fill it when nesseceary and on the shoobie thing, do you really think a shoobie would just ROLL OVER something like that???? put it in a big park like boulder park or rhodo or mtn creek where you can patrol the ppl hitting it and make sure they know what thier doing
  13. papa as a regular member of CB's msg board before it got shut down i remember you mentioning the Jib lab guys talking to cb AFTER then split ways from camelback. I was wondering if that's what you meant of if you we're with holding info for the sake of the board, thats the only question I had. and on the pipe issue, i was there last sunday after they opened it and i really saw no problem with the park, i showed my pass, picked my line and droped and was able to get some good hit outta it. i was a fan papa I hate to call out your kid but saying (i am quoting a seperate post i found) that there was only one good hit, totally wrong, and i got to the mtn at 3:30 pm. Part of the reason these kids don't like pipe these day is because there hitting too many rails and boxes, they detune their equiptment or it just gets worn down because of what thier riding. Before i went to the halfpipe (because I am a pipe enthusiest) i made sure my equiptment was properly tuned (aka, sharp edges, fresh wax etc) and I HAD A BLAST!!!!!! so kids, before you jump to conclusions make sure you know what your reading and talking about before you start to be like "man this shit sucks" cuz if you really can't go to the mtn and have a good time, just stop skiing or riding. (and i really don't mean to be mean here, just that kids angry posts w/o proper meaning bugs me)
  14. hey all i know is this what i've been looking forward too all year a decent sized, well groomed pipe. I'm excited. as for the tranny, i rode a pipe about this size is squaw valley, bout 11-12 feet, and i tranny room looks just about the same which is great cuz the pipe that week rode very well. either way it is better to have too much tranny room than too little. Too little then the pipe will become taco which mens people stickin thier noses into the walls while trying to pump.
  15. they're starting to get some snow in that new pipe!!! Just praying it stays cold!!!!!!
  16. i was up there for the THAT premier, def a good time. Mad props to the snowboard club guys for hosting everyone after, and to the house itself for not falling down..
  17. i does suck that the CB board is down, but i do like the way this is board is set up with better organization and no spam. good job guys, glad to join. i've ridden Free Boards a few time. I don't know if you mean a free board but a free board has trucks with a very side hangar and a wheel that spins 360 degrees over the king pin. I rode these everal times over break and easily the closest feeling to a snowboard i've felt. You can ride at very fast speeds and still maintain complete control of the board. It was like a pow day on asphalt, haha
  18. nothing big, just a bunch of small boxes. It's not too bad if your there when the millions of school groups aren't. there fun to mess round on though
  19. finally got to watch FMA, super sick. IT just builds and gets sicker and sicker til Eero just kills it. SUPER props to Andreas and DCP for fucking going back and steping up the dcp cliff by like 1000!!!! def deserves vid of the year
  20. 2/3 of it is right, It still does feature old neoproto riders and does have siiiick rail riding, but it wasn't cuz they didn't MAKE people, they just went off and did thier own thing, thanks for catchin that DH
  21. yea your right, i must have misinterpreted the post about winter returning on thier website
