Pizza Wedge (2/10)

  1. last year there was like 6 people who entered, flying johnny and i were 2 of them...
  2. Got to blue around 2 yesterday. It was about 50 degrees when I rolled in and the sun was out. Each trail had a nice 6 foot section on the sides of sweet sun ripened cord. The snow had a little bit of firmness underneath but was pretty damn nice on top. I busted out my new patron's with some rocker to see how they'd handle the slush and they were pretty sweet. Got out of there by 5:30 before all the high schoolers rushed up. Challenge and Razors were damn near perfect all afternoon, even the bumps on main softened up. It was nice not hearing the scrapes of people skiing the troughs. Not used to these conditions in January.... As for the rest of the unopened trails, each were pushed and drying. Central park has a good amount of snow on it, as did finish line. They finished rough cutting sidewinder at about 4:00 yesterday. There seems to be a lot of good fall lines set up. They probably have about three days left of work.
  3. pretty sure ill be there. went last year and won a dvd. well worth the $3
  4. you must not have ever poached a trial being blown at blue...lol.
  5. i love the people that ski closed trails while they are blowing. Little do people know that those huge piles are wetter and stickier than Pamela Anderson.
  6. gotta love the gaper tuck at the bottom of paradise...
  7. even with those guns the piles will still be pushed when they are wet...
  8. I showed up around 3:30 and skiied in my T shirt till 6:30 haha, before throwing on another layer. the snow was pretty shitty. made a few rips down paradise, which the skiiers left had like 4 feet of untouched, semi melted corduroy that was out of the mega slush piles. Switch was nice also, it was pretty much untouched, i guess not running the mainstreet chair kept the 30 people there off of it because it was pretty much untouched. Lazy was the only thing that you could lay an edge into as it was mostly base with only small piles of mush. The bumps were pretty deep, felt like i was skiing over burried VW Beetles. I hit the road around 730 when the snow started to stiffen up again. It was my last day @ blue for the year, heading up north to sugarloaf this weekend!
  9. anybody going to be up this afternoon for a sunny day of some T shirt skiing?
  10. went up from school last night and it was horrible, with all the moisture in the snow and how cold it got it became boiler plate. Thank god for razor sharp edges and being a fat ass,as i was able to cut into most of it. This morning was a different story. The snow was prettty righteous...a little firm underneath but all trails from lazy over to paradise have a nice dusting. great morning to carve it up! they made snow on main st & switch too but ended up tilling it, and there were some cookies. It was cold and sunny and had th place to myself, what a day!
  11. it should be pretty quick in the am with a firm base, going down to around 10 degrees tonight
  12. well that didnt take long to get talked out of haha
