Killington will not be open this weekend, but the forcast is calling for rain/snow this weekend, and with that will also come the colder temps. The upper part of the mountain has an excellent base and is perfectly ready. Now they are going to wait about another week to blow on the lower half of K1. We will def be riding by thanksgiving, look for an opening next week.

took about 1hr 1/2, 5 mins down (we went slow) so worth it.

oh yea they are blowing snow alright... they are operating on 5 trails, and at K1 base I was able to see snowmobiles and was listening to the compressors... can't wait to shred! (ps they will only open if they are top to bottom)

Resort Management... basically with how the program works is that I am trained in all aspects of the resort and earn higher end positions at mountains (management- supervisiors) upon graduation. Killington doesnt have consistant tempatures to make snow yet. This week will begin operations. Plus Killington is not under new management. They have decided to open top to bottom trails and not just a few hiking areas. If you have any more questions about the program give a holla... Greetings from killington VT, I just wanted to let everyone know that winter is here up in the green mountains. I woke up this morning to a snow covered ground. Further reports state that we are projected to recieve 3-5 inches of snow through tonight and elevations about 1000 feet (me haha) will receive locally higher amounts... As much as I miss PA, looks like the move was a good one... now i gotta go type a paper until we get enough snow to shred our features! peace guys

Mountain Creek's market was primarily snowboarders. There is definatlly more of a skiing scene in PA than Jersey for sure.

yea i'm sorry... I remember having the 40 footer at shawnee last year. People had to haul ass to make sure they cleared it. You need to be blazin to hit a 70' jump, and with what i saw last year at blue that jump was maybe 50'. Bottom line is, you really cannot exaggerate jump distances. You need to actually measure from lip to knuckel. haha 70' you guys are funny, I miss PA. p.s. Shawn show them how jumps should look this year, and through in a hip for them.

Hey Shawn, I was a advid rider at Mountain Creek for the past few years. Riding your parks was amaizing. It was actaully the Creek that made me pursue a career in parks. After working for a park in the poconos last year it really pained me to see PA parks that didn't uphold to the strong freestyle boom in PA. Welcome to the state. and for those who have never ridden at mt.creek, you are about to have the best jibs in the east at jfbb. enjoy real setups. (PS... the drivers are better here too!)
