  1. Too many... even today we had bear mt closed till 230... i was on the hill digging out rails. the wind was distructive
  2. 38" of snowfall here... more pics to follow tommorow.
  3. Haha, it would of helped if they let shaun and julian finish their work...
  4. Thats not a mountain... thats what i thought when I saw it. It looks like Trails but really it is only down trees, possibly logging and or rock faces from run off. But thats def no mountain
  5. Hey I'll be working over in the parks on bear tommorow... come check it out. I recomend dreammaker
  6. sweet setup... pics? hehe
  7. the pipe had plenty of set backs last year, one of which is snowmaking. with the poor weather last year (yet better than this year's!) its tough to maintain snow to the rest of the resort yet alone a pipe that absorbs so much snowmaking. The economins of snowmaking are an intricate part to the whole picture. Adam, I am doing very well right now... the snow is awsome, and although i'm 21 now i have plenty of other priorities/resposibilities. ( I recomend the lookout bar n grill... free hot wings at happy hour from 3-6 ) Jay Rosenbaum our park and pipe director has really taken me under his wing and ive learned much more safety aspects as well as the buisness end of parks. Give me your email adress and Ill sneak you some super cheap ideas for features. Ive also been in the shop alot fixing new features as well as fabricating new ones. (Flat down flat box - oh yea cory and me.) Let me know around graduation when shawnee is ready for a parks department... (when the weather changes! I know I know... cash rules everything around me... C.R.E.A.M) Godd luck guys with your building! And finally... Check out shawnee's parks, Its a hidden gem.
  8. that layout better be sweet... nobody likes a park that doesnt flow, you guys did a great job last year. gnar gnar for sure! keep up the great work
  9. here was my cbox last year, cut the plexi in sheets to the shape of the c as close as possible, then after cutting a few sheets into the "c" shape install them as multipule panels. an easy way is to lay the plexi over the box and using a marker, outline the width and curve of the box, then repeat the process step by step, install and shred!
  10. They most likely thought that they were dicks because finally someone made a park crew work. Its not about the riding on a crew, its how well trained in maintenance and setup you are, and how hard you work for that professionalism.
  11. Who builds a large takeoff even to the top section of a down rail? a. over use of much needed snow, b. a deceiving feature for beginners due to the large drop off, c. street is the current trend amongst skiers/riders where is a picture of their jumps?
  12. Respect the builders who are in charge now. Nothing can change what has happened. Help the crew by giving your opinions and thoughts so that they will be able to adapt and perform. If they do not want to hear input... well then you are on your own haha. good luck on your season guys, im praying for new snow down there... and yea even up here at killy to! Rails to Riches tommorow 5pm under the lights. KSA
  13. No its real true... BB really pissed me off after investing so much and pulling the plug after all the work PL did for them... not very professional what so ever. The least they could do is hold out for the season, but to terminate them after all the fabricating and sponsorship help... down right wrong. Park Logic was used, its a mockery of park designers period.
  14. I can not dissagree with you more. Parks have become a resorts "brand" or "icon" for freestyle skiers and riders with or without the ownership's knowlege. Mountains in PA lack the vert of others (New England/West.) People here on the east are slow to react to change and development. If a true devoted management team were to do actual research into freestlye devlopement, they would see a very lucrative investment. Park building has become more of a science than ever before, even now i am in school to learn all aspects of the resort (resort management) so that when issues like this happen in the future I can see both sides holding a management position. People lack the knowlege of actual terrain park management and do not completly realize the concepts, theories, and tactics in use today. There is snow science, maintenance, heavy machinery construction, metal knowlege, welding, surfaces developments, art, marketing, Setup angles, pitchs, geometry, Snowmaking (that's for you Shawn), etc. The only problem is, is that PA has not opened their minds to see how much an EXCELLENT terrain park is now an asset. It is my dream to come back to PA after a few years and provide a state which has given me so much a glimps of what others have had out west, and how much buisness an actual park "program" can bring you. As for the BB park crew... I hope you realize you have big shos to fill. Good luck on the upcoming season.
  15. I couldn't agree with you more... what a bomb shell. And yes, it's worth three threads! voice your opinion!
  16. Woah, who backed out, the bb or logic? and for what reason...
  17. Haha dude i was just busting on ya. Good luck to everyone on the upcoming season. I've waited so long for pa resorts to get their heads out of their asses and start paying attention to those after school warriors in the parks. Eventually even those kids get older and become future guests at the same resorts. Evolve
  18. haha i love your ignorance... its makes it look like you are trying to hide your jealously, but if you are serious... i truley apologize.
  19. they got two very small parks open, one is a skate inspired parke with hip pyramids, a spine, hip, down box, and down rail. the other trail is 4 fun boxes in a nice line...
  20. Its snowing like crazy up here, and killy is going to be opening 27 trails tommorow, plus a new jib line. The snowmaking is unbelievable... just thought id post
  21. I have no idea if they are planning on opening bushkill or not...
