well lets just say i never broke even.. the year i worked there i think each of my paychecks were like 12 bucks haha maybe a $20 or $30 here or there.. not to mention someone backed up into my beautiful VW Corrado that year and cracked the fog light, chipped paint, cracked the front bumper (which was aftermarket) the front bumper itself was like 300 bucks.. so yeah i lost alot of money and i was so pissed that night walking out to my car and seeing the front end just completely messed up.. if the person who did it was stil there then i would of

i think another reason we tend to complain about the park is.... well.. BC and MC are right around here so we get spoiled by hitting up their park and then headin up north to like Stratton, Okemo or killington and then comin back home and riding at the mt closest to us just doesnt compare in park.. i know thats why i complain all the time haha
-
wow.. just took a little look at the new rails at CB... im upsett haha sure they may be fun but id rather see like DH was saying a straight rail or a longer/nicer box and a flat down rail.. but nope they gotta go get a c-box and a rainbow-kicker box..
-
i agree with him.. even though it is good to start learning on the smaller pipes around here.. then head out to creek/north/out west to hit the super pipes..
-
well im a snowboarder too.. but all im gonna say its i give skiers props in the park.. i was an instructor two years ago and me and my friend ponnett traded with other instructors who skied.. and ive never skied before picked it up pretty easy but everytime i went to grind a rail i just kept doing splits haha and jumping is so much different with skiers and boarder... it was a good time though..

good point.. i know some people at the loft therefor got a little d-count on my new burton dominant which saved me 40 bucks.. but getting to know the people there maybe even if you rode with them at the local mtn here or there they tend to treat you better then just an average customer.. obviously haha -

Thanksgiving i am heading up to Killington.. its so close now and to actually see snow somewhere its just breath taking!

i second that notion

haha yeah thats sometimes a problem.. i usually taught kids but here and there when i got an adult group some would barely speak english.. makes it really hard i had fun teachin but i just didnt teach enough to make up for the gas money and everything else.. but it was a good experience dont get me wrong haha when i get older and move to like VT or something ill just work at a mountain everywinter and become a "ski bum" haha
-
i was an instructor a couple years ago.. didnt like it that much i mean ist great and all if you wanna work alot and take as many lessons as possible.. but i just kinda stood in the back during line up and then went and rode the parks.. which therefore i was losing money due to the drive.. so i just quit towards the end of the season
-
yeah i think it would be fun sliding it.. and switching it up and what not..
-
yeah hahaha cody wolfe.. i remember when that happened he came into school on crutches and all bandaged up.. it was pretty bad
-
DHarrisburg what are you riding now?
-
good call.. but its probably something that camelback did to screw it up.. i bet at one point in time it was straight hahaha
-
justin right? i remeber seeing him ride down the mountain then stop and showed me how it just like split.. i think? haha he told me hes was getting a new one cause of that.. that bum anyway im just curious to see what the big difference was.. never thought it was a good idea and i guess i was right haha maybe ill demo one when burton comes to cameblack this winter.. just fot shits and giggles
-
wow.. thats awsome i cant wait till mountains open.. this is always the worst time of the year its cold out but not quite cold enough haha
-
Alright well my last 3 boards have been dominants and i just bought the 06' dominant.. let me tell ya i love em.. but what i wanna know is there really a big difference in the slick and the regular? is it harder to make sharp cuts in the snow with the slick? and does it slide easier? ive read about it here and there just wondering if anyone has any insight on the subject..
-
i agree.. they took what could of been a decent rail.. and made it just garbage.. its what 5 inches off the snow?
-
good call.. haha its gonna be a fun winter.. and it seems that every mountain around here is realyl trying to push its park and make it better every year... so maybe i wont have to make hour trips out to creek anymore and waste a good half tank every trip
-
thats still sick.. like i was saying i didnt have high expectations for the new rails/boxes.. hopefully they do make the rails higher and better transitions
-
after a good 5 years of being at passholder at camelback.. last year i got my pass at mountain creek and i got a creek pass again this winter.. but i will still be at camelback alot cause i get free riding.. kinda
-
yeah most likely.. i mean when i got word years ago when they got new boxes i was all excited.. but then after riding them for the first time i hated them so much.. not so bad now.. but then i again i was terrible 3 years ago
-
hahah.. all i know is for the new rails i really dont have high expectations at all.. im expecting something like the boxes they got.. cause thats how CB is haha i hope they prove me wrong though or else.. hahaha even if they dont im sure it will still be fun to just mess around on whatever they get
