He's a 5' tall dude with steroid rage issues.

Maybe Doug will tell the story....
It was a damn good PASR day honestly overall...

Well we all trolled TP4 the one PASR day at Jack Frost. I'm sure if shit went down Barb and Melissa would have had my back..and yeah TTC6 is short but apparently he's tall enough to ride all the rollercoasters at Dorney Park.

People actually met TTC6? Why didn't he do it?

We trolled him and I'm not about to just get my ass kicked.  If he threw a punch I'd fight dirty...I actually got into a drunken fight with a roommate 15 years ago in Montana and used a coffee table as a battering ram on him..

I only recognize GSS when I see him at Blue. Because he always wears the same thing. I would recognize Kevin and Justin without helmet/ goggles from going to Nestors. Other than that, I have no clue what anyone else looks like.

It's because I never buy anything lol. It's weird seeing people you've only seen on the slopes IRL in real life.  Nastar Glenn looks pretty badass on the slopes but when he's  in his street clothes he looks like a normal grandpa lol

I'm never concerned someone will steal my identity. They would immediately give it back.

I had someone I never met in person but didn't get along with in an online group show up at my work..I guess she didn't like that I called her a cum dumpster..

I know your last name just from seeing your posts on Blue's FB page and guessing. But I mean, all that does is put a real name with a PASR handle, and so what?

What I do for a living is hard to hide in a fairly small region like this (everybody around here knows people who go to or went to my school). Hell, my LinkedIn account is basically my life story, and that's the first thing that comes up when you google me. But I'm a broke, middle-aged schoolteacher with a decade-old car, an elderly housecat with rage issues, and pretty soon no job, so if anyone wants to steal my identity, rock on, but you have to steal ALL of it.

As long as I don't have to ski on your RTMs or grade papers.

My name is Connor. My family comes from Ireland and I love to snowboard. My favorite music genres are techno and electro-swing. I'm currently posting this from an iPhone X. There... You all know me now.

Yeah right your name sounds like you own an authentic Italian restaurant

I have plenty of vacation time right now but no time to really use it on the days when I could unfortunately....
Freaking blows bc I have pretty much no damn life outside of work and my kids these days.

You should find a karaoke night down your way or an adult dodgeball league or something.

See you Sunday. Do you have any vacation days to burn for midweek days?  I remember you'd sometimes take halfdays and come up in the afternoon. Let me know.

I just assumed everyone pretty much knew everyone else IRL since it's a local forum, after all.  Then I posted a link to facebook and was sort of "warned" that people here could find out my real name, etc.   I mean, yeah, but...do what with it?  I'm Chris, I'm boring and have cats and suck at skiing but am excellent at parallel parking, shooting free throws, and drinking IPAs. So I joke and snark around and curse on PASR. That would surprise exactly nobody who knows me IRL.

I always refer to PASRs by their screen names.  Sallycat it was super easy for me to find your identity just knowing you teach high school history at a local private school and also because you are FB friends with Indiggio. Years ago Nastar and beer league racing results used to be posted on PASR but it was stopped because a certain member didn't like his identity revealed.  I have the least common last name..thankfully when somebody knows a google search of me all that comes up is the know your news carrier article from 1995 and that I'm a giant fucking troll.

Hey, speaking of western snow conditions, has anyone ever rented a car through a service called Turo? I gather it's like AirBnB but for cars, and with insurance. I need to rent a 4wd with snow tires in Reno this weekend, and the airport rental companies won't guarantee tires/drive train. Turo lets you pick the specific vehicle, and I talked to the owner, so I know it's good to go. Just wondering if anyone had any experience working through them.

No idea on Turo. I don't think most rental cars have snow tires. I don't see why they wouldn't guarantee 4wd though.

Lol. I actually met John Oates once. He rented a car from me when I worked at an airport rental counter in college. We chatted a bit during the paperwork, etc.. He was super nice and surprisingly short!

I always assumed he was short. Did you know Billy Joel is only 5'5?  Chevy chase is one of the few celebrities I've seen and he's super tall.  John Oates spends a lot of his time skiing Aspen according to Johnny style.

I appreciate the offer. I'm trying to do something this spring, however if I do come, it's gonna be for a week and probably with a company, so charging the trip to the pass would really be ideal. And I just checked the closing dates of all CO resorts, they'll all be closed by 05/06, just when I could steal a day between other things.

    Abasin will be open

Business trip. I love the place. Takes me a couple of days to acclimatize to the altitude. But people there, they're like robots. Pass me with a smile on a trail up w/o ever looking out of breath.

A reason I like Jackson hole is the relatively low altitude. I have suffered from altitude sickness in Aspen and summit county.

  13.

Aspen doesn't have the sustained steeps as Jackson hole but doesn't have the powder hounds as well.  I thought you were big into bumps and tree skiing and Aspen is a groomer skiers paradise.  Highlands has the most expert terrain, snowmass the most intermediate and is the largest and Aspen mountain is short steeps and pretty narrow and small under 1,000 acres.

As for the $$$$ for a tourist lodging is a bit more expensive and things like food and lift tickets are similar to major western resorts.  When I was there I stayed at Johnny styles house near the campground area of snowmass. It completely dumped.

I'm gonna be there 05/06-05/11. Too bad the snow will be gone by then :(

Seriously though, I've hiked many times up the mountain from Aspen in late May, that place didn't look too exciting. Saw quite a few terrifying tree trails, have never been to Snowmass, was just too late to see it. But either way, the Aspen is a celebrity skiing area, like Courchevel with all the $$ drawbacks, is it not?

Aspen has been open weekends only in May before..even June one year I believe. Would just be Aspen mountain Ajax. What is bringing you to Aspen in may?  It will likely just be Abasin open in Colorado then.

Not sure what that chart means. Did they ever stay open past Easter?

Never. The chart is when Easter is every year first date is western Easter and second date is Easteen (Greek).

Blue has never ever been open past Easter. If Easter is in March they close the day before(Saturday) if possible and if it's in April they don't make it that long. Blue is very predictable.  It's easy since it's run by a bunch of Jabronies

The idea is to use the pass, not just go out of the blue. W/o pass going with just window rates anywhere in the US is a suicide.

But I kinda like the idea of going to Mammoth late spring this year. Especially since the weather is so lousy here. Just need to squeeze out a week off work. Damn, it's either skiing sooner or camping later.

Very rare to pay window rates even mid season..there are some great lift/lodge/airfare deals.  The boys who went to JH got $200 flight credits from Jackson hole central reservations.  If you go to Colorado, Barb can hook you up with buddy passes for winter park or copper mountain which is like 40% off.

The next week comment was directed at Toast who has a week off work.
