I’m starting to get excited for ski season.. @NazarethSkier was texting me this morning telling me how many days until JH and that’s good for stoke. Also have the Kastles I purchased late last ski season still sitting unmounted in my upstairs office.

So is that electric heat..lighting a pilot light is some old school shit. The apartment I lived senior year of college the landlord had to do that and haven’t heard about boiler getting lit since. I have no clue how the heat works at my work but we get heating oil which I found out is the same as diesel just not allowed for road use

61 in my office when I showed up at work, didn’t turn on heat im sure customers a little chilly. Haven’t turned the heat on in hotel house yet but was chilly when I woke up in the middle of the night and had to put my quarter zip on. I remember when a quarter zip was something different whistle whistle

I haven’t turned on the heat. I did wear my quarter zip and sweat pants other day and I briefly turned AC on my office earlier this afternoon more cause it was so muggy. Thanks for the update JFDan!!

@indiggio doesn’t some of your crew at blue eat breakfast at the top lodge mid morning. I imagine the coffee at Blues top lodge is decent on the second floor. There is an actual coffee stand there as well

No idea the breakfast and or coffee situation up top…it’s like a Cosby show spinoff..A Different World up there. I do plan on stopping in sometime for a breakfast sando some morning conditions stink and I wanna kill time before beer thirty. Pops was telling me their breakfast sandos decent maybe have some hot cocoa with @saltyant

They’re dum dumbs. Most ski resorts food opens an hour before the lifts and they had an outside coffee shack back when you got scanned in where the snow meets the Macadam and people stood around for 15-20 minutes perfect time for a hot beverage. TP4 is prob the only one who figured out coffee situation but he’s a snowboard so doesn’t need to deal with poles can ride with his sippy cup of joe

You’re the most tech savvy boomer I know. I spend about $45 in gas every two weeks. Used to be $30. That’s when it’s not ski season. Now for delivery truck at work prob $1500 a month in fuel now vs $1000 before. But then come price increases, utility increases, foods real expensive these days. Local place I enjoy was $35 for a NY strip steak with two sides level above outback level below high end..went up to $42. That’s a big increase but it’s a good steak. and skiing talk I miss @enjoralas meat no homo

Even wealthier folks are feeling it..I can tell with my customers. I’m lucky all utilities are included at the hotel house.

$500 per for the winter than last so like if $1500 last winter then this would be $2,000. Is that about right or has it gone up even more?
