Oh yeah, that indoor outdoor carpeting, or astroturf is supposed to work superbly. I use indoor carpeting. It just has to be stiff short bristles/threads. I have a 5' start ramp at roughly a 45 degree angle, and then its a slight downhill after that. Not much, maybe 10 degrees. The inrun after the start ramp is only like, 6-10 feet long. And last time, i mixed water with glass cleaner and car wash soap, and it worked exceptionally well, although I didn't actually slide the rail.

The carpet has to be thin. The thinner the faster. same goes for stiffness. I've never really had to opportunity to turn, although I'm sure you probably could. I usually wet down the carpet with like water and car wash. It takes awhile to get used to. I can answer specific questions.

A ton. I suppose I should be more specific. It all really depends on what you prefer. I myself have never ridden foam core Salomons, so I'm just going on the stuff I've heard. A major complaint is just the overall durability. They turn into noodles, and you don't even have to beat on them. Once they're noodles, they have very little pop, and thats a disadvantage. I suppose they would be fun to press and butter on though. I've heard they chatter at high speeds as well. Justin would be better at answering this. I dont think theres many other foam core park skis out there. Most are wood. It matters probably as much as outside the park, if not more. I didn't really say anything in this post, but beleive me, it's a big deal. Justin?

Um, why can't you go big with them Andrew. I have not seen one reason you could not go big with them.
-
From what I've heard, no. I know Justin can shed some light on the subject.

No no no, not giant. I can't have all of PASR over, just a few people. Unless someone wants to have it at their house. Plus I'm limited on carpet.
-
We might be able to have a tiny carpet skiing escapade at my house for a few people...

Where did my post go?

I'll be there. Whether or not I'm skiing depends on if someone else goes to bring me my helmet.

I plan on going. Although I haven't made my plans yet. I should be down there.
