Don't fear when you see a large dent in my rear bumper in the parking lot at Blue...I got rear ended earlier on 22 pretty hard..luckily I didn't get hurt but person took off before I could get info.
Was the rear ending before the lady hit your car?

They were tollhouse cookies with m&m's in them, just like mom used to make.

Unless it was a 5 min drive from my house and I could hit it after work I don't see the point.
this
Huntah the physical place is fine, it is however filled to the fucking gills with the biggest bunch of assholes ever assembled on planet earth. It's like all of North Jersey goes to Huntah, they all fucking suck, they are all fucking drunk of bud light and none of them can ski while drunk. Add those people into a very vertical hill in which everything is on top of eachother and each run funnels into about three actual runs and the place fucking blows.
Platty is owned by a cool dude who does dope shit, their terrain is at least equal and they get 1/10000th the crowd. Laslow actually cares that you spend your money there so why not pay him a visit instead.
I'd put Blue Knob in the running for South of VT and there is shit in Western PA that would challenge the best skiers on the planet.
The size of your hill does not equate directly to the proficiency of one's skills...a trip to Deer Valley is all the proof anyone needs of that.
My experience exactly.

Wow - that's awesome. Trying to figure out work and kid schedule now....
How jammed is opening weekend typically?
This is awesome. Really hope I can figure this out and get there.
Opening weekend is always crowded, but everyone is so happy to be on the hill again that it is like a snow filled love fest.
Look for the asshole in the blue, European delivered BMW.
Sorry Jeff.
If you know what a European delivered BMW looks like.

This board is way eastern pa specific, what about the knob or fuck maybe even 7 springs. There are parts of the Laurel Highlands that avg 200 a year that's CO levels. What about the Pine Creek and PA Grand ? Mad fucking steep shit in that neck, gonna pucker that butt hole for sure.
Blue knob has great terrain especially the bowl, but it can be as icy as a popsicle unless there is good snow. I think it is run by the state.

You won't if they don't open this weekend.
Too true

ZZSlope, are you doing no shave November again?
Absolutely, if you mean my face.

Someone call Free Willy cause the whales are out on main street
Great picture. Sent my ski addiction into overdrive.

Blew a pipe. Lost a lot of the snow on vista because it washed it away. After 15 hours of snow making I'm not impressed with what they have down, but it was only night one, and it's November 15th. I feel like the same thing happened there last year with a pipe...
I believe they dug up the same spot last year.

The leap from winning at mcd's and a monetary settlement from a horrific car accident is a might long.

By that definition my mid life crisis is five fold.

Been invited on a trip to okemo, I've never been there, have heard several people say they really like it. The trail map shows quite a few tree trails. Hope it's not too flat.

I started skiing on a local hill known as Bell Mountain just south of Lambertville New Jersey. I think the vert was around150 if that, lift pass was a couple dollars. Three trails if you count bunny slopes, there was one chair lift and a rope tow to the top. The rope tow zoomed you to the top almost as fast as you could ski back down. If you didn't get the rope tow technique right it would yank your gloves off and pull you out of your skis. At the bottom was a wall with hay bales in front to stop errant skiers from going out on the road, watched more than one skier hit it. The parking lot was right across the road so you could sit in your car and watch the skiers. On nights we didn't ski we would sit out there with beer and weed and have a good ole time watching people wipeout. Good old days, miss them.

I had to work through the epic snowfall last year, but I still enjoyed skiing vicariously through the T.R.'s.
