    Waxing

yea you dont need to worry about half the things those dudes were talking about since they race and try to get their bases as perfect as possible. your just wanna go with a basic wax job like how i described in the beginning of this thread
  3. yea but last year all the mountains opened up on like the 6th, or somthing like that. this year it looks like they wont be until around the 18th
  4. o thats sweet. like last year, i already qualified and they wouldnt let me compete again even though i just wanted to do it for the hell of it
  5. mootz, do you know what kinda new stuff they got up at boulder?
  6. haha me and insomniac kinda nag frost and boulder about things they need to improve on
  7. are you serious? 7 prelims? damn
  8. yea pipe riding is great but all the pipes around here pretty much suck. its impossible to keep speed in them with how small they are. i love pipe riding too but around here its so hard to get more than 2 feet above the lip since you cant get any speed
  9. yea and frost and boulder are up on the pocono plateau which gives them an advantage since the temps up there are usually 5 to 8 degrees colder

    Waxing

yea every board comes with wax on it from the factory. if it doesn't, then theres something wrong
  13. its not broken, it worked perfect for me and yea that video is PIMP

    Waxing

yea its really easy. first you need any old iron (just dont use ur moms or she'll get pissed, cuz it ruins it), next you'll need something to scrape the wax off with if you dont already have a scraper, something like a triangle for drawing/drafting or something like itt that has an edge. now for the waxing part. first you wanna heat up your iron just enough to melt the wax, no hotter, or else you'll burn it. then you're gonna hold the iron and wax over your board and press the wax onto the iron so taht it drips onto your board. drip it all around your board (how much wax you use is preference and as you do it more you'll see how much you want). after you dripped the wax onto your board you're going to spread it all out with the iron all over your board just like you're ironing a shirt. after you spread it all out, wait a little bit for it to cool down and dry. after its dry, you'll take your scraper (or whatever else you're using) and scrape off all of the excess wax. and its okay to scrape off every bit of wax thats on top because its the wax that got soaked into the pores of your base that matters. after that buff it out with something (this isnt necessary, but makes your base look nice) and you're ready to ride.
  15. yea its supposed to stay cold from here on out, supposebly
  16. yea ive had pvc rails in my backyard and as long as ur edges are fairly dull, and not brand-new sharp, you'll be fine on a pvc rail and wont dig in. i never dug in on mine
  17. haha yep andrew you already know that ill be in it
  18. do they have a regular p-tex base? or is that just plastic? from taht picture it looks like its plastic
  19. no but those park videos are sad. it makes it look like all the features they have are horrible and tiny. if i never went to blue and never saw their park i wouldnt want to go if i saw that video
  20. yea blues got a C and boulders getting one this year too blues got a step down too but its kinda cheezy and weird and its madd skinny and hard to stay on
  21. yea camelback doesnt really have any room at all for a decent park. all of theyre trails are way too skinny besides raceway and nile mile like you were all saying but they would never do that. and theres no way that theyd be able to make a top to bottom terrain park since all the trails basically are just all short and connect to others. that probably is as good as its gonna get. thats why i go to boulder
  22. yea boulder should do it but it would be hard for them since the tannenbaum park is kinda wide out in the open at the base area of the mountain. but they should at least maybe do it for the boulder park, since its the bigger one anyways and has the more dangerous stuff
  23. that would be awesome if they did but i highly doubt thatll be happening...
  24. yea and the laurel glade park has been exactly the same setup for 3 years in a row too
  25. haha yea its kinda confusing it makes it look like the quote is for the one below it
