USA Luge Olympians and the Luge Challenge are a part of the Winter Festival at Blue Mountain this weekend!!

What is Luge? - Come find out this Saturday and Sunday at Blue Mountain

Luge [loozh]-

1.Pure fun at Blue Mountain- try our FREE course sponsored by the US Luge Team & Deifenderfer, this Saturday and Sunday!

2.Involves competitors lying on their backs on a tiny sled with their feet stretched out in front of them, and racing down an icy track at speeds in excess of 85mph, without brakes.

3.Coaches and athletes will be scouting each event for athletes who show potential. Theresa Buckley was discovered at Blue Mountain last year!

Along with the free Luge course, Blue Mountain's second annual Winter Festival is going on! This FREE event will have something for everyone. We will have dog sledding, ice carving and so much more! The Winter Festival is located on Lower Paradise, get your free Walk on Pass at the ticket office.

Want to warm up after the Winter Festival? Head to the Last Run Lounge for Joshua Lewis! All proceeds of the Joshua Lewis concert benefit animals in need.

Anyone gonna hit this up?

I got that too. Also, a very cute old man approached us while we were hot chocolating today and gave us an unsolicited run down on the luge set up. Had we had normal shoes we might have checked it out after our runs but Bob wears his Crocs and I wear slippers to skiing. Oh well.

i really dont think anyone will be hitting 85 mph

blue is turning into a state fair.

The announcer said 10- 25 MPH. The 85 MPH is the pro luge which they didn't have set up. Yet another reason we didn't venture over there.
