Video story here: This all happened back in 1976. Rough estimate is that 50K is about $250,000 adjusted for inflation. The famous (for back then) Newswatch 16 trumpet jingle theme music is in there, too. I'll say it before anyone else does, Vermont was not all rainbows and sunshine ... back in 1976.
