skidude Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Well Not really strange...Skigurl has told me there are big thin and Bare spots all around the mountain. I think Its time for me to bust out da old 150 Rossi beginner skis
skigurl Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 yea if your headin up and respect your board/skis/blades, either take out the rock ones or rent
skidude Posted March 3, 2004 Author Report Posted March 3, 2004 Ha rent and TRASH CB's Skis. If they have bad snow THEIR skis can deal with it.
flick Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 yeah the mountain is getting so bare, and there is tons of debris laying all over the place. stuff like pine needles, rocks, gravel, and not to mention dirt all over the base area. the base of my snowboard is turning black and its getting so messed up everyday that i ride. definetly bring crappy skis/board if you ride there from now on.
AtomicSkier Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 hopefully it isnt that bad in VT tomorrow, or else ill be mad!
Ski Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Just got back from Montage. Spent two hours avoiding rocks on my race skis. Coverage is edge to edge and no real bare spots, but f*ing little rocks everywhere. Great skiing for rock skis, I guess, but sucks otherwise. Vermont will be FINE!
ThinkSnow Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Ahh this weather sucks! Hopefully we can get a couple weeks more around here
