ColoradoHigh Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Remember that Skiing Weather Man? He had a website dedicated to winter forecasts and weekly forecasts. He went to mountains all over America. He even had his own show on CN8! What HAPPENED TO HIM? When ever I type up his website, it says its forbidden. I wonder where he went, and what he did to his site . Does anyone else know other long range forecasts for this winter?
riderossi Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 (edited) According to the guy on channel 16, weather patterns pushing up from the south(keeping the great lakes air from moving into our area) due to elnino will result in above average temperatures(for the majority of the country),rainy periods, and not many frigid cold periods. riderossi Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Is that true? That's truly what the weatherman(the crazy one) said, yes. Whether it holds true or not, we'll have to wait to find out.

NOAA (National Weather Service), is saying the same thing....warmer than normal, but not as warm as last year .....http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2006/s2716.htm Edited October 13, 2006 by bigdaddyk
riderossi Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 But last season was a good season...at least at Blue mountain...all the trails were open for most of the season along with tubing, Nastar, and the biggest Booters..what more could you ask for... Warmer than normal still means snowmaking temps...plus winter temps haven't been normal in decades..most years of late have been warmer than normal.. Last season we got some where on average of 26 inches of snow. Compared to 50+ the two previous years. And not many place are going to be making snow one day, if it's going to be pouring the next.

petter369 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 I think thaT It should be a MAN LAW to never believe in a weatherman or weatherwomans long term forcast because they are never right and as far as i am concerned, they can shove the ten foot marijuana plants up their ....... raincoats!

OOOOO dont get me wrong, whenever a weatherman or weatherwoman gives a good forecast for a nor easter or anything that begins with S and ends in NOW it makes me feel like burning down that ten foot high marijuana plant forest and frollicking through it with knickerbockers however when they predict long term forecasts about a "bad" winter that is when i hate all weatherman and weatherwoman Edited November 22, 2006 by petter369
