  1. On the busiest of days almost all the lifts to turn but it is absolutly not worth visiting. That isn't just Camelback though, I wouldnt recommend anyone to go to any resort on a holiday weekend. If you go to a recreational facility and your in a parking lot that might require a shuttle bus or it takes you more than 10 min to find a spot you might as well turn around and go back home as you said. It never fails to amuse me how so many people go to resorts on holiday weekends than bitch and cry that the lines are ridiculas when it was blatently obvious that it would be that way before they even set foot out of their car.

  2. I'm nice to guests if it makes ya feel any better :D I even try to be nice to the masses that scream at me for things malfunctioning that can't be helped. In Joe's defense he had probably been harassed about the Sullivan not running all day long but i'm sorry for the negative experience.

  3. Did I mention that the skiing/riding is going to "rock" tomorrow? IF you are there, take a good look at the amount of snow they made. I don't just mean number of trails, try to judge some of the depths.

Depth only matters when it comes to fresh powder :wiggle

Really though, I'm just jealous I have to work clear until Thursday so I wont be able to get up on the hill until than.

  4. i dont do that stuff  you were with a bunch of people and im shyyea, i figured if i cooperated and showed him i had nothing on me and just had made a mistake he would let me go

Ya but dude if your 100% positive your clean always always always refuse just to protect your rights as well as your fellow citizens. If they unlawfully search your car they can get in trouble and or if they do somehow find a loophole so search your car and find nothing they will be PISSED. Theres nothing better than refusing to cooporate with a stupid cop that claims you have drugs in your car let them bring in the K9 let them bring in their supervisors to get embarassed and find out theres NOTHING and they're idiots who just proved to you themselves and their superiors that there "reasons to believe" are total horse shit.

Someone making a simple mistake in an area they're not very familiar with turning down the wrong road is no reason to believe. It's because you are young and possibly the baggy snow clothes and snowboarder reputation that made them say that bullshit. If it were a 80 yr old lady I bet he wouldnt have accused her for having drugs if she made the same mistake.

  5. Totally exploit the police department that pulled this bullshit. Demand a letter of apology and money for any repairs for any possible scratch or rip on the interior of your car from the search. Also find out the names of the officers and write to the pocono record so that bullshit violation of civil rights can be pointed right in their face. I hate fucking bullshit cops that abuse their power and lie and fenagle a way to search your car in hopes of scoring a little pot or somthing to screw up your record.

So many times I'm sure that someone is getting mugged, a car or house is getting broken into, or anything worse is happening when a asshole pig of a cop wants to bust some teenagers for a little bag of reefer. Good job keeping America safe!!

  6. Common guys of course Camelback isn't going to close for skiing and snowboarding. We have a hotel being put in for 2009 for all seasons! :lol :lol :lol :lol :rofl :rofl :rofl:lol :lol :lol

I'm sorry I love the place but cbs marketing and improvement plans always make me giggle. The sad thing is marketing and mtn improvements are somewhat irrelivant to cbs profits mainly because of the location and the majority crowd they attract so what does it matter. I think the decisions should be made by those who still truly have a passion for the sport of skiing and riding and not those just running a business or doing your job although all it really is, is a business and money is all that it comes down to. Thats just the type of world we live in. Just my opinion though.

  7. im sorry im still missing the part where they have snow on the ground. tannserville never went below 33 degress and humidity kept on climbing through the night.i went on camelbacks website and the webcam is conveniently turned away from where they were "blowing snow",and their were no pictures of the snow.

Take a drive or look on the webcam my friend. First gun was lit at 9:08pm last night and the wet bulb was good enough to make until early morning. Marjies has a nice coat on it as can be seen from the wbe cam.

  8. CB has just about sucked comparitively to other hills we have done in the same day or day after. If the rail jam sucks comparitively to other comps we have been to, then yes, in the spirit of constructive critisism, I will complain. I expect you to come up and introduce yourself Friday.

    TROLL!

    WORD :rock:thumb:pwn3d:

    Start?

I will, what do you look like? Have you been to the previous rail jams CB has hosted? If you havn't I can assure you it's going to be slower paced than what you might be used to. I always keep an eye out for your son competeing but I can never seem to pick him out of the crowd.

  9. I don't care about people knocking CB, it just gets old and is obviously the target mountain for harassment. I can think of 100 things to complain about the other local mountains but theres no real point. If you don't like the place don't go to it plain and simple and you'd be doing the mountains locals a favor we don't want you.

  10. Please don't ever visit CB if you hate it so much, the less people there the more I enjoy the mountain.

Papasteeze please don't participate in our rail jam, we suck right? Spend your friday at a better mountain in NY or VT.

Somthing tells me though that you'll be there so afterwards you can complain about it.

  11. Last days always do. I was thinking that last night, now all of a sudden...bam!

At least we still have a few local mountains open. I see Elk might even run into early April. NY and VT should go through mid April hopfully longer :rock

  12. What a great last day at CB, unless we do end up reopening next weekend. The Rail Jam was sweet, I thought it was way better than the oakley rail or bail jam that stopped at Camelback. It was much more entertaining to watch and hopfully things will be even better next season. The conditions were great I wish we would stick through the week but oh well. Props to all the jam competitors. What a great end to the season, although the day went by way to fast.

  13. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to set much up, if it stays warm...might have to wait for it to cool down. If they are the only place open, it would definately be worth it...unless if you want to drive to NY.

I hear that, I hope they get things set up. I was figureing maybe they're holding it back a little because of the snowmobile races they had this weekend. I plan on hitting up NY to, I still have that free pass from going to Bellayre opening day can't wait to see more than one trail over there.
