Adventurous kinds still skied down the Midway, but it was a torture. Those boards are completely brainless, I feared not so much for falling as for being knocked down by some crazy kid

Yep, that's why I'm avoiding Blue for now. Sorry but I just don't trust anyone on skis/boards, and am always paranoid someone's going to nail me and I'll end up in a wheelchair. Too many inexperienced people on Midway, too crappy of conditions, too long of lines on Vista, etc.

Once some more terrain opens up soon, I'll come back to Blue and have a fantastic time.

I hope Jar Jar Binks makes a comeback he's my all time favorite Star Wars charecter.

Jar Jar was originally intended to be the main villain of Star Wars until George Lucas chickened out and shoehorned in Count Dooku in Episode 2. Best fan theory I've ever read.

I hope Blue opens Lazy Mile soon.

Good I don't wanna have to give you any dings..have you checked out the stats feature?

Nah I just enjoy posting. Note: I migrated the topic to the Camelback forum to avoid ending up in internet jail.

Carry on discussions about Zee Lights at Blue.

I'm not gonna lie. I'm getting stoked for episode 8.

Hoping for a good plot twist that changes something in the two previous trilogies.

Sorry, GSS, we should take this to the Star Wars forum, don't want to threadjack =P

Keep the Camelback talk in the CB forum..you threadjack this is about the lights at Blue.

Ok. I always mention Blue in my posts here as to not stray off topic, however.

This sucks big deal. Even with me not having anything to do this weekend, it's getting boring to ski the same stuff yet another week with gradually increasing crowds. Maybe JFBB will open a 3rd trail, heh.

Just be glad you don't live in State College. Just saw Tussey from the interstate and it's in sad, sad shape.

CB plans same terrain as last weekend and same $25 price. Will probably bring my girls there Sat unless somewhere else is more tempting. Not a bad run for them, and they are happier with us all riding together on a 4 person lift. See you there SA?

Yep, I'll most certainly be there. I'm thinking of doing a night session, maybe 4-9. At least skiing at night will provide a little variety. Plus if they're blowing snow on the trails, when it's colder at night, it could be a lot of fun hitting fresh piles for a change.

Wow just wow I figured by Sunday they'd have upper Main Street and lazy 1.6 kilometers open. Now SallyAnt is gonna rub it in our faces.

Maybe we'll get Nile Mile this weekend and you guys can head over and join myself and Juice Bags. No hot chocolate or cookies though, that was only for opening day.

No need to split when the cocoa is comlimentary but I got word from the Camel mascot that they interlocked arms while drinking the cocoa in order to absorb each other's energy.

This allegations brought forth by the Camel mascot are false. But we did enjoy our runs together on Honeymoon.

Your skis are very flexy. I bet you'll feel a world of difference on something stiffer and maybe wider underfoot, especially when the snow cruds up. I know I did.

The ski shop offered me Volkl RTM 81's at $599. I'll probably wait to find an end of season bargain on last year's model. In the meantime, I'll be skidding down the ice all season long on my flexy Elons.

If you aren't falling you aren't trying. If I were you I'd watch some ski instructional videos on YouTube.  You'll get some pointers that you can try on the slopes. I've been trying to stay more forward and keep my hands forward as well especially in the bumps..cause once you get in the backseat forgetabout it..your skis just aren't as efficient.

I could definitely use a few lessons. An instructor at Killington gave me some good pointers, such as not leaning backwards (which I still catch myself doing often). less than 3 years ago I couldn't ski the bunny slope at Eagle Rock, so I'm pretty happy with my progress regardless.

  12. I think I tense up sometimes and death grip the poles, thinking they'll save me from a fall when in reality that's not logical. Once I loosen up, I ski much, much better, but sometimes that takes me a few hours.
