Nice Stowe will be a good warmup for you before you go with us to Jackson hole in 2019 and Chamonix in 2020
Do they groom the trails in Jackson Hole? I'm not used to skiing trails that aren't groomed.
44 minutes ago, GrilledSteezeSandwich said:Salty where did you stay in Killington?
Rutland, but one night I stayed at the Mountain Inn nearby because of a snow storm. The Mountain Inn is very affordable at $100 a night or something and was a really nice hotel for the price. The coffee machine in my room wouldn't work, and the staff was kind enough to bring me a functional coffee maker. The only downside was my car got stuck in the parking lot after the snowstorm due to the abysmal stock Hankook tires that came with my car. I upgraded to much better tires afterwards, so now I'll be able to traverse the snow-covered terrain of Vermont with ease.

Hey All,
I'm back from a fun evening session at Blue mountain the true mountain. 22 and the bottom of 145 were backed up according to google maps and it said 58 minutes for that Root so I took back ways between 309 and 145 and popped out near Sheetz and it took about 40 minutes amid heavy pre holiday traffic and I arrived at the lower lot at 6:47PM. It was in the low 40s and there were barely any cars in the lot. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Ryan, Toast and Justo.
First run was right into the bumps..they were fast and getting big and I took my first fall of the season when I got a little out of control. Lower Main Street was spring snow and semi smooth..Paradise was really nice and smooth for night time due to light crowds..lazy mile was also pretty good although not as smooth as paradise and one run was a bit of crazy weaving the noodle. I did the bumps two more times and did them a bit better but still just getting back into it. It's not often you get to ski spring bumps at night time in mid December.
I only skied challenge once. It was pretty rough it looked like there was race training on it earlier by all the ruts. Ended the session with more Paradise and lazy mile and hungout in the lot for about 20 minutes and saw a few big truck diesal nuts..had a beer and made it home in just over 30 minutes with a drunk driver in front of me on blue mountain drive. Didn't stop at Sheetz didn't hit Mickey dees went straight home. song of the night was MA$E and P diddy Bad Boys..I'll be back out Thursday night..anybody else??
Theres a distinct possibility I will be there Thursday night.

I thought you went to killington once lol. Snowshed is not a good place to park unless you want to take two lifts to get to the top.
I went 3 days in a row and parked at Snowshed each day. I was a gaper back then and liked to warm up on the easy hills first before venturing out into the vast mountain. Now that I can ski like a boss I will park at either Rams or K1. I think I'll hit Killington one day this year after Stowe.

Rams Head or K1
I'm surprised an expert like you would park at Ramshead. Isn't that for n00bs?
Killington was my first real mountain and I absolutely loved it. One of the best weeks of my life. I was amazed that Great Eastern is over 3 miles long and took 11 minutes to get down. It's fun just taking random trails and not knowing where you're going to end up.

I always park at Snowshed. Snowshed is the coolest place to park.

Thanks. I already bookmarked this thread so I have an explanation when I get yelled at by toast for the same thing.

Oh ok. I see many threads about serious non-skiing related topics, such as TP4.

That Corbets run looks easy. All you need is a GoPro to make a video like that and I already have one. Plus I can get down Marjies and even Cliffhanger now, which is a double black diamond, and that's basically the same thing.

Do you.
Can you provide more context? Did you see Star Wars yet?

What kind of music do you like to listen to when you ski?? I haven't skied with an iPod in like 11 years.
Metal and classic rock, with an occasional random pop song mixed in. This weekend I tested wireless bluetooth chips in my helmet. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I can't stand bluetooth earbuds digging into my ears with the helmet on, and they last 10 hours. Plus they're not noise cancelling like many bluetooth earbuds so I can hear around me while bombing Marjies.

Just don't go into your pockets when you are on the lift also how long did you search for the gift card you dropped? Now you can buy your pass at Blue online and save $5
I have a pocket on my jacket which is convenient for taking my phone out to change the song. Looked for it a few times from the lift but it's a goner. Forgot about it after 2 minutes . Yes I will buy my next pass online.

The ironic part is the first paragraph of this TR is just a straight-up factual report of my day at CB.

Lol ok I'm done.

“Blue mountain the true mountain” cannot be revised. (I.e., cb the true mountain is a complete rip off). In lieu of your (lost) gift card, please donate to charity or pet a couple of stray cats/dogs
Sorry, I cannot comply with these demands because I'm bankrupt after losing my gift card.
CB is truly the true mountain because they are working hard to get the mountain open at 100 percent. See evidence below.

My wife is a lawyer. I’ll have her call your people. Or you can mail me your $5 gift card from blue. Yeah, let’s do that. Thanks!I lost my $5 gift card today on the Sullivan lift... it's a damn shame.
My legal counsel reviewed your erroneous claim and found no evidence of copyright infringement on the previous thread. If you can provide empirical evidence of your claim on behalf of GSS we may take your claim into consideration for further review.

You shouldn't say that if it's good keep skiing when you've had your fill leave ski as much as you want to. I've had night sessions and it's just not fun and I leave in an hour other times they're kicking me out.
Anymore I've generally had my fill after 4 hours. I still enjoy skiing a lot, but the newness has kinda worn off. But I know what you mean, some days you just want to keep going even after close. That's how I was on Wednesday at Blue.

I'm surprised that you guys often quote previous posts with large pictures. Doesn't that make the thread cumbersome to scroll through?

I can't come today. Tomorrow works better for me. The temperatures are much more favorable today, and they'll groom all the bare spots I guess.
