Saturday was an epic day for JF. We got to the mountain at around 8:45. Fresh Pow was to be had all day long. I couldn't believe how much was still untouched when we left at 2:30. I have my secret spots and we were doing powder slashes the whole day!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Crowds? Havn't been to BB in awhile.

I am aware of this. But my problem was that there was no one controlling the lift lines. Single after single were getting on a triple chair. This was the first I've seen of this. Very disappointed with the lack of lift attendants. -

I was at BB this past Saturday from 12-4. The lift lines were INSANE. I have major beefs with them for this. There was no line control whatsover. Singles were getting on a triple chair 2x in row while the lines were heading up the hills. JF has much better control over this with ropes. BB didn't even have the ropes on their triple or their twin doubles. Plus, their one double wasn't even running. Prolly not enough employees for a competition weekend. -
Just got back from BB. The snow was soft, but it was pretty slow. It is snowing and the wind really picked up. Glad to hear the morning was good. Hopefully tomorrow night will be better.

mountaincreek has started to copy jfbb

Frost had a step up about 4 years ago. Nothing too big, but it was one. And I do remember the channel gap at boulder for the boarder cross -
WOW!! talk about hatin. Who are you.....THE MAN!! Why you tryin to hold these kids down. At least they're out doing something they love to do. Who cares if they're puttin "not so good" shots in the edit. I don't think they're putting it out there to win any awards. They're having fun boardin and filmin. I give em props for sitting down and makin a decent website to throw up their vids. I wish I was 15 and able to do the sh*t they're doin. Keep it up RR! I enjoyed it. You too, Wezlo! If you want to film some 30 year olds livin out their youth, let me know. We got some skillz.

They may be doing great, but so is JFBB, and so is Blue. I haven't seen conditions like this ever. And I've been goin to JFBB for 18 years. It's like saying my board is better than yours. No it's not, it's just personal preference. I'm glad the Pa mountains are ALL steppin it up. A competitive PA ski/snowboard scene only means the consumer(WE) will reap the benefits. I'll be going to Sno at the end of Feb. Haven't been there in 3 years, lookin forward to it.

That is the one thing that I always noticed about JFBB. Most of the riders stick to the smaller stuff. Me and my crew have always rode the bigger features with confidence BUT, we all wish we could turn back time. We just have too many damn responsibilities now. I'll hit everything Boulder can throw at me, but I do have my limits as far as pushing the envelope....sux to be old
-
We did a few runs on Boulder Park and hit the first jump to the right and then the second jump. The up box at the bottom is niiiice. We were skyin both jumps but not spinnin. We're old and it takes a little while to start doin it. But I have to admit, from some of these videos, alot of heads are throwin down and it's great to see at my home mountain. Just go out and push yourself. If you need any extra umph, holla at me. I'm there most Friday nights and Saturdays. Not this weekend though.

Did you print the directions from the mapquest link on their website? Cause that got me lost as sh*t. I was just driving around in a circle past all these damn farms. I was so pissed, but finally found out where I was going. Not sure about a late season pass deal, but I think the early bird was for like $399 up until October 1. I think your better off with JFBB anyway, just look at what they were able to do this winter. They were open when everyone else was closed. And as far as I can see, their parks are gonne be even sicker next year. The new jumps in Boulder Park are big and PEFECT!!

I enjoyed it but don't need to see it again. My boy did try to gap the whole thing...bad idea....he tail tapped the end of the rail and landed in the flat. He didn't get hurt, but it was funny as sh*t

that's what the dude told us. the 2 new stairs at bear creek are gettin rave reviews. the funny thing is they have the huge jumps on boulder, then they have a gap to a flat rail and flat-down wide box. i think those were a waste of space for an advanced park. but all in all, the parks have been pretty sick and pretty damn fun!!

i have a confirmed report that they are putting a permanent concrete staircase on Boulder next year. so i guess staircases are so next year too.

Last friday night about 5 minutes before closing. My friend and I were taking the last run on Merry Widow. There was this dude who was wearing a mustard costume (not sure why) and he was with a girl. They went before us. After I hit the 2nd hip, i came upon him lying flat on his back a little down form the bottom of the hip landing. I was waving my friend off to the left, but he wasn't paying attention, spun a 3, then plowed snow all over the dude. He felt bad. The girl said someone was already getting help, so we went on our way. They were helped, but I don't know what happened to him. Anyone know what happend to this delicious yellow condiment?

will any staircases be put out this year?
-
your landing in the flat cause you aren't goin fast enough. speed is your friend

You might want to invest in a back pad. I took a mean fall at Bear Creek 2 years ago. Came off short on an up-flat-down rail that was built up on a jump, flat was rutted out, couldn't get a footing, and flew about 15 feet out as I watch the landing pass me by. Landed flat on my back. Luckily, didn't do too much damage (attribute that to building up back muscles at the gym). Being in the air was like slow motion. Anyway, I wear a few different pads and a helmet. Before anyone starts hatin, I have a 16 year old mindset in a 30 year old body. I enjoy going big and want to do it as long as I can. But I need to make it to work on Monday to pay my mortgage and for my wedding. Riding is what I truly love to do

I'll be hittin BB somewhere between 3-4. I ride pretty much everything, but will mostly stay in the parks. I'll be wearing a red checkered, white, brown, black ronin with brown pants. I ride a Burton Twin 154. You can call me Bean.

Fnally got my season pass today. This was my second time out this season, first time was at Blue. Though it was soft and had some puddles, it was just nice bein out ridin. I had my crew with me. We've been riding JFBB for the past 7 seasons. You'll see us all over both mountains, but mainly in the parks. We got there at about 11 and it was in decent condition for what they had. Got softer towards the end of the day. Lack of out-to-in jumps on the sides of the trails. The rails were set up nice. The first jump had a rut in the landing. Stalled the barrel. All in all, it was a good day to ride. I wear a red, white, tan, brown Ronin. And brown Cargos. Names Bean. It says so on my helmet. Eastside Riderz!
