    Friday

i will not. but there should be a forum get-together one day in the future. We once had a snowboard.com get-together at that other moutain that starts with a "Mount" and ends with an "eek" and it was very fun.
  2. Yeah, I think this will be the weekend....a full 2 weeks later than my prediction earlier this year. Oh well...
  3. It's based out of Oregon. The traditional winter camps have been at Mt. Bachelor (sick, sick, sick mountain). The summer camps are, of course, based out of Mt. Hood (Government Camp, OR)...pretty much the only place in North America that you can ride all year round. This year, however, I believe they are doing a few "remote" camps in Tahoe, but I don't think they will be as good as the Oregon camps where they have their own facilities, lodges, skateparks, etc. etc. Board harder than you've ever boarded before during the day...party at night...all in August. Can't ask for much more.
  4. I didn't have a chance to head out anywhere today, but I was wondering if the bitter cold kept the big crowds away, or did everyone still come out to take advantage off all the snow everyone's been making this past week? I'll be at CB early tomorrow. I was out in NYC late last night and every place was just empty. No one wanted to brave the frigid temps. We could only walk about 3 blocks before it became unbearable...
  5. at these temps, those guns are running a ideal temps (at nights they are DEFAINTLY blowing airless), HUGE amounts of snow being produced My source is highly reliable, when sober. Yeah, but when IS skidude EVER sober?
  6. High Cascade is a fantastic time. The quality of coaching is awesome, but it's very low key and they pretty much just let you do what you want. Fun, fun stuff. That was the second time I visited Mount Hood. Gov't Camp, OR is a shit little town, but is really a snowboard mecca in July, Aug and Sept. I can't tell you how many professional snowboarders were just hanging out all week long...you can really get taken to school there, but everyone is so cool and repects your ability level. I highly recommend HCSC or just going out to Mt. Hood.
  7. You guys ever watch RSN if you've traveled to Vermont, Utah, Summit County, etc.??? Man, what a great network...all ski, all snowboard all the time. I wish someone would launch a local affiliate for the PA/NJ area.
  8. I know it's probably not all to exciting, but I figure that I'd make my first contribution to the picture session. I *finally* got around to posting various landscape pictures from the many of the various places I boarded in 2003 (Colorado, Utah, Vermont, Tahoe, Oregon, etc.). They are all linked from the top portion of the gallery here: http://www.cjuphotos.com They are all scaled-down somewhat for more pleasureable web viewing, but if you'd like a full high res as a background, etc., just let me know. There's a few really nice landscapes from Utah, Colorado and Oregon.
  9. Anyone know if they shut the whole park down on Sunday with the Mid-Atlantic SB Series halfpipe event? I hope not...
  10. oh, goodness...perhaps the most tiresome ski/snowboard argument of all time. <sigh>
  11. I really don't have any problems with them. They do their job and keep quiet most of the time. They could be a bit responsive to some questions, but, all in all, no issues here.

Yeah, that is a good feature. Haven't seen that before without actually going right into the database
