Bruised ribs are no fun, can be worse than broken ones. Friend of mine got bumped into by a boarder around Christmastime, not real hard but just enough to knock him over- he thought it was nothing, kid apologized.....later that night he could barely get out of his car. Got checked next day- 1 broken rib & 3 bruised. Hasn't skied since.  You had a much worse fall including shoulder & thumb. I got skier's thumb up at Huntah must be 25 years ago- high speed fall due to unmarked obstacle- still feel it on bad days. I don't mean to be a debby downer, just want to say make sure youre ok before you come back & hope youre tougher than me & my buddy.

    New page!

I'm hard as fuck.  Thanks for the good thoughts.  I'll be back this season, you can count on that. Oh and welcome to PASR.  Which exit are you from?

Sleeping last night was tough but I'm feeling better today.  I'm taking a steady cocktail of THC, CBD,  Vimovo and Tylenol.  They should make Vimovo over the counter, thankfully I have a huge leftover supply of it.  I was able to roll my back on the foam roller for a bit.  That felt good too.  Spent 3 hours driving to Trevose and back today.

  2. Root got ‘recked on Razors Runout

First chair with Jlaw.  Money run down Razors.

The fucking ski team decided that it would be a good idea to install a set of rollers on the flat runout, skiers right by the bushes. The fucking redcoats (at least two of them) decided this unnatural man made feature didn’t need any markings, and in the super flat light this morning,  I didn’t see them until it was too last. I made it ok over the first one, got launched off the second one and landed on the knuckle of the fourth one, one ski shot off, and rocketed past JLaw who helped me back. Took a rest while he skied another run, did 4 more after that and it turned to all sleet. My ribs, left shoulder and right thumb all hurt, and I decided to call it at 930.  Redcoats eventually put up 3 lollipops on the left side of the rollers, but nothing marking the start of it. Assholes.

I shovled up some ice into shopping bags and moved it around the hurting parts during the ride home. Just popped 3 leftover NSAIDs from my ankle surgery.  I’m having some difficulty taking a full breathe, and my right thumb is swollen, but I can move it.

Had a half day scheduled tomorrow for an afternoon dentist appt, but they called today to say they were expecting to close early, wanted me to come in today. I'm sure I'll have to drive in to work in the morning, they never pull us out. So, depending on driving conditions, could go up about 1, or not at all, lol

I took a flex day tomorrow.  Planning on leaving here by 6:30am.

my hockey helmet expires at the end of this year (helmets have expiration dates)

I've heard that ski helmets are around 5 years.  That being said, I get a new one ever few years just because.

Yeti makes more sense as “beginner terrain park” just couldn’t picture the jumps in there being aggressive enough. Probably lost control off of a jump and ran off the trail skiers left

That was my exact thoughts when reading this.  Blue might just be (statistically speaking) the deadliest place to ski in the US.  For sure in the Northeast.  Fuck.  Is it 4 or 5 since the start of 2017 season?  I've lost count.

Give toast a high five for me.

You'll have to give him that high-five when you get back.  Only person I saw today was the Blue Ford Edge guy.

Fast conditions today.  15 runs in two hours.
