  1. That's Main Street and they always focus on Main Street in the beginning. Lazy Mile will likely open up during the second week if the weather stays cold, but I think last year they opened Lazy Mile the first day?

Makes sense to me. I'm sure it's a lot cheaper to run the double lifts in terms of energy costs then the 4 or 6 pack.

  2. The main web page now says "Get ready for winter. Blue is making snow"

The conditions page says "Blue Mountain is taking advantage of the cold temps and will continue to make snow when possible."

What's the web cam pointed at, the new tent?

  3. The crowds alone are enough to make the horrendous lift ticket price not worth it. You'll say to yourself, "I PAID for this crap?"

I have no plans to ski MC anytime in the near future unless it was free, but if you buy the triple play cards, the price isn't exactly horrendous. 3 tickets for $69

When I lived in Parsippany & could make it there in 30 minutes, I'd buy a bunch of the cards.

If you're going to ski MC, do yourself a favor, ski it mid-week

  4. Back on topic...do you guys have more respect for ski patrollers after seeing the program? You have to give them props for spending long hours being traded on first aid and rescue skills along with long hours sitting in the patrol shack when they could be skiing for fun. Patrollers are not doing for the free pass...it's because they want to help people along with the commaradarie..

I've always given them a decent amount of respect. Perhaps to an extent, that's a flaw of mine, because I'll generally give respect or trust upfront until it's violated. I've really never had a problem with them. I've been whistled at more time than I'd like to admit to for speeding on Paradise, but never on any other trail. I've always slowed down and never ever needed to be chased down.

I've now seen some of the ugly side of skiing. It hugely reminds me of my emt days.

  5. I got this in my email today. I'm guessing that GSS will be happy.

    New for this Season!

  6. It helps to use the "smileys" but they're gay so there you go.

yeah...cheap red wine and lazy fingers... ;)

That's why I got married... to ensure that someone is legally required to be around for just that reason.

that's funny. I had to push my wife around Disney in a wheelchair this summer when she broke her foot for the same damn reason.
