  1. Thanks for the great TR I gotta get up there after Christmas
  2. Happy now? It's an older picture of me. I'm not as handsome as I once was. And I have even less hair!
  3. Very nice web site. Is everyone happy now? Now what are (the few) going to complain about? I know....they're making too much snow, and my goggles get wet when I ski under the guns!
  4. I beleive they will be closing at 10pm Friday night....not 9 pm as I stated earlier. me bad!
  5. I believe they are open 3-9 Tues.,Wed.,Thurs., and Friday night this week. As for the weekend...I would think they will be open the entire day/night.
  6. uhhhhmmm......what were we talking about???????? me likey
  7. "Extreme Tubing"!...yea that's funny!! Maybe I shouldn't try it...I mean what do they do push you off a cliff? from what I understand...Sno will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They will close next week and re-open next Saturday December 6th. The bunny slope, cannonball, boomer and the rail garden will be open. As well as "extreme tubing"
  8. I just received an e-mail stating Sno Mountain will officially open for the season this Friday at 9AM. I earlier stated they would open on Wednesday but I was wrong...me bad! I suppose with Thanksgiving on Thursday it would be difficult to bring in enough employees and skiers.
  9. from what I hear...opening day is wednesday remember you read it here first...even before it's posted in the famous (errr...infamous) web site
  10. I'll be up there tonight. I'll try to get a TR out as soon as I can. The problem is....did you see the weather for this Saturday??
  11. WHAT? flea ticked me off for lumping me in with the others?? do a search for my posts...#23 to be specific! I said quote..."why do some people berate..." RE-READ THE POST! Do not try to explain yourself at my expense! #1. I was replying to the PREVIOUS post (Libriders) question/explaination to ramps at the compitition #2. your name was never brought up....unless you feel that you're the ONLY one on this MB that has ever berated Sno! "if you look at the posts (Flea's) are about 2-3 AM, not exactly the time for clear thinking" WHAT??? If you are insinuating I'm replying to your posts in the middle of the night...drunk....you're a lesser of a man than I thought! everyone...go back and re-read the posts I made! Do they not give a time stamp of 3-5 PM??? NO RESPECT
  12. wow...looks and sounds great! thanks!
  13. method...I believe I need to reply to your rant. #1. sorry about your failings to get any work done. I can't give guidence to you there! #2. yes, you ARE saying the park is bad, but now you're saying it's the advertisent agencies you despise for false advertising. Do you detest Polmolive for net giving you the bightest smile. Ford for not giving you the MPG they advertised on the car? etc...etc. Now in NO way am I defending Sno. I just think you're being too sensitive to their advertising agency. Like I said earlier, Sno is behind the curve in building parks. I also said BB,BC,Elk have GREAT parks. I DIDN'T say Sno had a great park! I DID say it was great for the sport that they went out on a limb to host the compititions, spend the money for the Zaugg (which many doubters said they'd believe it when they see it!...why would anyone say that? I won't mention names). Blow the snow they have. Spent the time with the snow cats kneeding and pushing the snow into the pipe.I did say I thought they're doing good for only being in the bussiness for two years. I remember (many years ago)when BB's terrain park was a telephone pole and a 55 gallon drum! It takes time to develope the skills to put together a decent park and crew. Would I stay away from the mountain if I were you? yes. It may be some time before it meets your standards. However, even you would have to agree (and you have)it's better than it was, and better than some. #3. Why do we care if they claim it's a good park? Well, it is good...only good, not great. Would I like to see it meet your expectations? Yes, and everyone else's...including mine. But instead of bashing, I said "give input and guidence". now...#4.... a. As you said.."do you really think the park is that good"? NO...I never said the park was that good re-read my post. I did however give a cheer for the money, time and effort they put into the COMPITITIONS b. "come on, are we going to hurt their feelings...they're a corporation". Well, they ARE a corporation...but moreover they're INVESTORS. They want to do well for the riders, thereby making money. The good thing for us is...they realize improvements need to be made and they have deep pockets to finish the job. c. "trying to get us to spend $70 a day to visit" uhmm you're off by 40%...weekend day tickets were $50 d. "they can scoff at us like BB did and ignore us". Pesonally, I don't think they care either way if you come or not! If you were an X-GAMES competitor, I'm sure they would listen...and probably pay you tons of money also. They seem to have a gameplan in place. I would think that a busload of riders/skiers would be more important to their bottom line than your opinion....no matter how much you rant and rave e. "we rip on it because it's rediculous...sure they put up a22' pipe and it's going to be open for 4 weeks!" AHHHHM...so...that's a bad thing?? (You're beginning to lose credibility!) f. "they claim to be the best park in Pa. for two years now, and they haven't shown jack-shit for it" OH BOY! where do I start? so...sue the ad agency if it doesn't meet your expectations. I am not saying it is the best in Pa...I am saying, in two years they did a great job. Remember this is from scratch...three years ago they had nothing. Do I think they care about your hatred for their ad agency...NAW g. "one of the biggest compititions on the east coast"...well guess what? that line wasn't Sno's line...that was the ORGANIZATION'S LINE...hate THEM! h. "they were installing a giant concrete staircase"....WHAT?? I don't think so! where did you hear that/ read that? in conclusion...let me find the ad agency number and you can give them your opinion! R E S P E C T
  14. makes perfect sense to me....thanks librider R E S P E C T ps... why do some people get their kicks out of berating a mountain other than their own? is it something like dick envy? or is it like picking on the new kid in your school? is it not a good thing that Sno Mountain is puting on such compititions? is it not good for the overall sport of boarding/freesyle? I understand loyalty for one's own mountain...it's yours so rightfuly you should be proud. rah-rah...we're number one! but I believe a few posters got on the "hate Sno train" for no other reason than to create controversy and see their post totals increase... is BB, ELK, BC etc have great parks? I believe they all do. are some (Sno) new to the sport...therefore behind some areas and behind the learning curve? yes, I believe they may be. think about it...this is only their second year and look at the difference the new owners have achieved already...is that not a good thing for us all? to the die-hards out there...(and there are indeed some knowledgeable ones)...give input and guidence. Isn't that better for us all in the end? finally....remember.....R E S P E C T and sorry for the rant! peace
  15. WOW! It's great to hear the positive reports on all the compititions this weekend. I know the mountain put their neck and reputation out there to get the compitition to come to Sno. Congratulations to the park crew, snow makers, and everyone else involved. r e s p e c t
  16. I think since there is never a liftline...a high-speed quad may be down the list a bit. It's one of those things that would be nice to have....but we don't need it right now. That's just my opinion. RESPECT
  17. what message board does "NS" stand for? I want to see what other boards have to say about the pipe. thank you
  18. SHEESH! that's one heck of a team you have there! Did you ever think of touring? I think it would be interesting!
  19. papasteeze.....RESPECT
  20. good luck to all the competitors in this weekends 22 foot halfpipe event. Since I believe this is an official F.I.S. event, I would imagine that all the boarders will be the best of the best with plenty of experience in half pipes at other mountains. I would love to hear their comments on the condition of the pipe at Sno Mountain compared to other venues they have ridden. This isn't an invitation to the immature, childish Sno Mountain haters, but to the professionals that ride for a living. Personally, I don't board but I do ski there, and hope they do well in their first attempt at an event of this magnitude. remember.....RESPECT
  21. Good luck to all competitors in todays boardercross! It's6* at 7 AM this morning! From what I saw of the course...it looks great. Stay safe and have fun... ps...go fast! and to all the course workers... my hat is off to you all!
  22. did I hear Sno Mountain is bringing in bleachers to watch the half-pipe competition this week-end? anyone know if it's true?
  23. sjb....sorry to hear about your knee! I think you may have set the record as the first casualty in the 22 footer!!!! I heard about a knee injury about noon. I hope it's not too serious and you're back in there soon!
