yeah - I liked the list so well from last year (and this year) and since it is end of the season, I thought it deserved it's own thread. Thanks!

For those of us whose season has already ended, just some thoughts to prepare for next year: Soak your gloves in water and store them in the freezer after every use. Fasten a small wide rubber band around the top half of your head before you go to bed each night. If you wear glasses, begin wearing them with glue smeared on the lenses. Throw away a hundred dollar bill - NOW. Find the nearest ice rink and walk across the ice 20 times in your boots carrying your board/skis and other gear. Pretend you're looking for your car. Sporadically drop things. Place a small but angular pebble in your shoes, line them with crushed ice, and then tighten a C-clamp around your toes. Buy a new pair of gloves and immediately throw one away. Secure one of your ankles to a bed post and ask a friend to run into you at high speed. Go to McDonald's and insist on paying $8.50 for a hamburger. Be sure you are in the longest line. Clip a lift ticket to the zipper of your jacket and ride a motorcycle fast enough to make the ticket lacerate your face. Drive slowly for 5 hours - anywhere - as long as it's in a snowstorm and you're following an 18-wheeler. Fill a blender with ice, hit the pulse button and let the spray blast your face. Leave the ice on your face until it melts. Let it drip onto your clothes. Dress up in as many clothes as you can and then proceed to take them off because you have to go to the bathroom. Slam your thumb in a car door. Don't go see a doctor. Repeat all of the above every Saturday and Sunday (more if necessary) until it's time for the real thing.

THE SNOW JUST KEEPS GETTING DEEPER AND DEEPER ON THE GLACIER SO THE PARK WILL BE SICK You have to love a season lke we are having this year. January was the snowiest month in 25 years and then it just kept getting better. March was mental as well. Pow days were the norm. The more pow days in the winter, means bigger jumps and more jumps in the summer up on the glacier. So... this summer is going to be golden! Better get on signing up, some of the sessions are almost full. FREE SNOWBOARD FROM SAPIENT SNOWBOARDS Sapient Snowboards has set us up with a bunch of boards and a great idea on how to give them away to campers. Once you have registered for camp you get an ID number. Give that number to all your friends and try and get them to come to camp with you. Get them to type in your ID number in the notes field when they sign up and you get credit for each person that uses your number. When you get 3 friends to come to camp you win a Sapient Snowboard of your choice. Only one person per the four of you can get the board. But if you get six friends or nine friends to come to camp you could win 2 or three boards and share them with your friends. If you don't know your ID number, email us and we'll send it to you. There is a limited number of boards and the contest expires on April 30th. ZIMTSTERN CLOTHING AND COC Zimtstern Clothing from Switzerland is going to be rocking the house this year at the Camp of Champions. Their international team of rockstars is going to be at camp going off in the park and chilling with campers. They are also making a limited edition Zimtstern/COC tshirt and a super dope coaches jacket that will be available to campers. Summer can't come soon enough. Everyone wants to film and shoot at COC With our 20% larger park and the amazing snowfall, this summer is going to be great if you want to try and get in videos and the magazines. We are already arranging dates for crews from Canada, USA and Europe so it's going to be a summer of pro's going off on the new Arena Snowparks built COC terrain. The new even bigger park is going to be off the hook so get ready for mayhem this summer MGT Snowboard Session at COC After months of preparation and planning we can now officially announce the MGT Girls Session at Camp of Champions. It's one session only Camp D July 6-13th, so if your a female snowboarder and want the MGT coaching experience register quick. The MGT Girls Session coaches are: Leanne Pelosi, Joanna Majcherkiewicz, Alexis Waite and Jacqui Berg so far.

Hi Ed - Welcome!!! Good to see the Dutchmen in the house. You guys are a huge group and have a lot to offer.

SAM is the best magazine for whats really happening. Nice to see that someone else reads it. Sorry, off topic... Let's see... If it hasn't been mentioned, If I oned Blue I would develop the valley with some commercial and put in a summer park of types.

VT is right, it's all about uphill capacity and whether the chairs are full. I just got a thought, Who is the most capable of being the most crowded? Assume that there are an even amount of skilled snow people. Lift capacity divided by trail acreage.
-
Message my kid on myspace. He stays in regular contact with the park manager up there. They had a rail jam on Nov 26th last year........... they are working on it
-
More capacity in conjunction with trail expansion is what the PROPOSAL was. I believe High speed lifts (detachables) require a certain amount of traveling distance which apparently, BC does not have. The next time there is word that there is a public forum at BC - everyone should attend

Yeah point and shoots. It is one of those freebe cool pix 5meg. I noticed it doesn't capture moving objects well. oh well.. -
I could be wrong but the width from tubing to sasquatch is similar and so is the vert. I would like to see a step up at BC somehow incorporated. The one at Steamboat is a huge and popular feature. It kicks you up plenty and you land at the apex. THe problem is the only place at BC i can see doing it would be very disruptive to the overall flow under the quad.
-
Seems like a dream doesn't? As VT may attest I think the layout in that pic could be about the same at BC I know the vert is just about right. What is not pictured is the step-up to the far left which would be really cool if incorporated

I thought the flappy man tyvek suit was a nice touch -
Only because they charge for them.. Besides I am confused, there are many many more park people than there are racers.

Here is a pic of Bear Creek for next year..
