  1. duh... I just noticed that you are a snowboarder, no snowboarding at Alta.. Then Snowbird or Canyons.. for that matter.. do each one day and decide after the second day where to go for the third. Snow basin and Powder mountain are a bit of a drive.
  2. From the interest in the audience that night, I would think that there will be something for her whether it be Mack, Dutchmen or heaven forbid, Mainline weeknight clinic/gates training. I was surprised to see Fred regularly hanging with Billy Madsen, sounds like Fred gave the quick version.....
  3. I was there for the meeting, and if that is the case, then something has changed. In a big picture sort of view/plan - it sounded to me like they did not have enough trails planned to meet the race demand. The 'racing program" is interested in expanding to host weekday evening training/races for the area clubs and leagues. The J4/5 program sounds like a good way to start for the weekend racing program. Face it they don't the vert for the older kids to train on.. DOH!!! neither does CB
  4. Liggedty's is especially good in that it captures the guys in the background grinning.
  5. What is Np?? I think the problem was the lack of DEP grading permits for relocating the tubing. Trail expansion/clearing/widening can probably still happen, however I am talking out of school............
  6. 3 days, that is a tough one. I think I would check what the Alta/snowbird combo is costing these days. Otherwise the Conyons is freakin huge and is under the radar when you compare it to Park City. Personally, I would spent my 3 days in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
  7. Rountop is still making news.. The Roundtop Riders gets a rave review!! Wimps should have shown up at the BC Big Air.. http://freeskier.com/freeskier/news.php?news_id=465
  8. Congrats!!!! Have fun! Get the combo ticket on any bluebird day
  9. The truth is, that the plan is that, trails will be expanded, more snowmaking, lift upgrades, park enhancements, more motel rooms, junior racing program. The one thing that you can go to the bank on is that Bear Creek will be the ski area that all the others will be watching, nervously.
  10. Or at least some type of qualification. Nipples could compete in the expert group for sure. I told him that he should try and go last in the intermediate group and watch tricks were pulling and do the same trick but just add a grab. What is the matter with that? It' was funny to hear that he was in the wrong group because he "can do" nines what difference does that make, besides it wasn't as though he won the intermediate group! He was placed in the right group by that fact alone!! Ugh... I understand why they do ability levels, it encourages more participants. THat is why I think there should always be an OPEN category for the serious. I gave my footage to dorsey, I'll get the photos I have up tonight. I think I got a couple of good ones!!
  11. I get some better quality up soon there are more. The problem has been getting him to have his best runs on his first runs. I guess that is just lack of simple experience in translating course inspections to real runs. His best run where he looks the best is also the high line.. The problem is on soft courses that you often have to ride the ruts or risk getting launched blazing your own trail - he only ways 85 lbs.
  12. I was surprised that more people didn't show.. now about that intermediate/expert level thingy
  13. Skimom and dude are on it. Dipping the shoulder a bit and dragging the down hill leg. The conditions were like mashed potatoes, sticky on a steep grade. Rotating his hip around was a problem that day. In the last picture in the first post of this thread, that was the high line and the last and best run of that day. I believe it is the same gate, I seamed these 3 pics together..
  14. I grabbed a couple.. Not your average NASTAR course. Critiques, constructive critisism and comments encouraged and welcomed!!
  15. I'll get some pics and video, I finally got up with the times and got a camera and software, plus the event is in the daytime. OH-- ask me for stickers, shirts and hoodies at clearance sale prices!!! I'll have them for those who ask, don't be shy
  16. Thats only because racing coaches don't allow the racers in the park before the race
  17. hahaha... chillonthehill - is a good guy, he weirds out a lot of the posters on NS for the same reason I do, except he does have park skills. He messages and returns PM's and seems to very active in the promotion side except he has never quite fessed up to why.. BTW. there are some other clips of him pulling some more stylish stuff
  18. Nipples will be at B & C sessions - does anyone know the Blue race team schedule yet?
  19. The only jumps at Elk will be from you slush junkies making ruts into decent little kickers.
  20. yes it is, it is the only jump in PA
  21. Hey just buy a pass at BC next year they are doing all of that plus they are adding more snowmaking a boarder cross run, awesome spring big air events along with weekly cumalative freestyle comps with huge prizes along with upgrading lifts and they have public forums to discuss improvements..
  22. Cool!
  23. bla bla bla.. only if someone buys your lift ticket or you can get it for free. who you trying to kid, blue boy.. J/K
  24. No worries Bob... It wasn't directly directed at you, i was pointing out what you just confirmed in the post above in a larger sense that those who are not heavily involved with the park scene don't understand why park passes will work to the benefit and safety of everyone on the slope. Don't worry passes will soon be available to everyone who wants one.
