  1. she probably weighs the same as nips and she wears that same type of parachute style. nips can't really clear them either.
  2. I had to bring this up to the top since this version shows the slow motion. Nipples did one of these at CB last year, missed the bonk by about 1 foot. He was already in the tranny when a little kid decided to slide out from the side of the trail right into his flight path. There are several other who have had impacts or close calls of this magnatude on here. This is serious stuff... Letting oblivious people in the park is equal to walking across a streeet with out looking both ways. http://media.newschoolers.com/uploads/memb...90Sequence1.mov YouTube for those that can't view Newschoolers. BTW - NS has a 100k members and this is currently the highest rated video - what does that tell you Management people? Yeah give em a ticket so they can get decapitated, yeah they paid for it and signed a release so let em rip.... irresponsible, I say!
  3. its on his myspace nipplesooo1 It's also in the bonus footage of the movie in my signature. $12 get it, for a piece of history.. funny stuff.
  4. skier 1/2 pipe. .......... nips and I were screaming OMG!! on dumonts run.. Tanner did not deserve a 95 for his second run! He had some sweet moves but when the triple 10's didn't get scored high by andreas because of amplitude............ dumonts 94 was worthy IMO
  5. here is another a picture: 12H x 36W x 300L is my best estimation.
  6. uh, just an FYI - I tune to NS to get the instaneous results and then watch it on TV - thats the norm.. not saying that there can't be policies here I am just saying that threads pop up instaneously on that forum in relation to FS
  7. thats a very broad question - uh anywhere from next to nothing to 1 million per foot? 200-300 for a small 4 bedroom home 20 yrs old. No new contruction yet.
  8. It's not feasible to redo. My understandings is that the damage is done ...........................Always start small when learning park features.. however there is nothing wrong with learning to turn on the walls of the bigger pipe other than having to deal with pressure of getting labled of noob.. no worries! just have fun!
  9. I learned that from CB.. Here......................... enjoy!! http://www.discoverrevelstoke.com/
  10. They also turn into bigger voids much faster since they let air in around the surface and melt out faster. sort of like pot holes when driving. little pot holes turn into big ones if they are not filled in. Those voids will degrade the "quality" of the pipe quickly. They are caused because the snow that was blown wasn't "worked" into an even consistency. Sort of like stirring the batter to get the lumps out.
  11. Hold that thought... it would be perfect, I wonder if that is exactly what the master plan is? I wondered why the pipe was put where it was. Too bad they are not doing it now. Besides I don't believe there wont be trail expansion include with the new hotel. At least I hope so for allof your sakes. can you imagine another 1000 people on the slopes there.
  12. ah........ yes, the sliver tongued guy with the gift of gab. I like the way you think.
  13. not 100% sure yet - all the above.
  14. what did they comp next years pass for you too?
  15. thanks KT! Hopefully we can reference this video every time this topic comes up. I complained last season at CB cause nips nearly decapitated a kid in the same scenario except there was no bonk involved, park passes are now at CB, of course that incident happened in Laurel Glade.
  16. I would agree with you 100% if the Fall marketing hype and conversations about how great a pipe and park was going to have this year had not swayed to make a poor decision to get passes.
  17. he had friends in town from Ohio who had a video shoot lined up on Sunday, a really fun opportunity to ride and get filmed with some really sick park skiers.. He decided that he wanted to get some pipe time under his belt before Steamboat. I got a wrath of grief when picking him up. So, not that you need to know all that, I am relatively sure that if I give nips the choice, pipe or park he will choose park. Once burned twice shy, he won't believe me now at this point. I am the one who told him that the pipe has to be good. He did say that it was better than nothing at all but not worth wasting the morning on it. Understand?
  18. prove me wrong! because with comments like that, it is you who is being confrontational. I am talking about the pipe at CB, what are you talking about? Be part of the solution and not part of the problem! Let me try to help some more...... here, see the voids in the snow in the wall of this pipe? what causes that and why are those voids bad?
  19. wrong again.. notice anything missing? no one has said that the pipe was awesome. CB poured a lot of money into that trail, weather has been dismal, they now have the opportunity to show what they got and........... after the first weekend they move the fence so that you can't drop into it? give people passes with out ID, move feature from Laurel to Rhodo. People in the know say they didn't "farm" the snow and that is why it is mis-shapen. Pipe cutting 101 ah yep, thats the attitude that proves CB doesn't know what they are doing with parks.
  20. X6 - although the new blood keeps things interesting.
  21. soo.. it looks like everyone has a park except.. nice work!
  22. the first gondola goes in this summer - 40-60 feet of snow per year.
  23. smart move. you were giving them away.
  24. Freedom is a very sick park right now..
  25. Great Deal! Added to the public Calendar, thanks for the tip!
