  1. Short and sweet.. Lots of snow left. Lapped mittl weg, which had really nice, soft snow and great coverage
  2. I'm taking off Sat and going to BB on Sunday. Sat. is going to suck, no matter where you go.
  3. Or sleep in and go to boulder, since they open later.
  4. Just checked the website. The only thing open will be the glenn terrain park and glenn lift .

  6. Little late with the TR. I got out a little later than I wanted to. I ended up leaving the house at 6am and made it to Bell at 9 am. I dropped my phone, while loading the car, and broke it, so no pics. The temp was 31 degrees and it was cloudy. The clouds quickly gave way, though. They got 2 inches of snow, the day before. The trees were still white, on the upper half of the mountain. The snow was nicely groomed cord. The upper half of the diamonds were a little rutty, though, because the snow was wet. I did 8 runs off of the hs quad, then made my way over to the tomahawk for the rest of the day. I did 17 runs off of that lift, with 12 of them being on the lower half of Dot Nebel. The snow was really nice hero snow, on the lower section, and was perfect for wide carves (lots of snow too). On one of my runs down deer rune, I found out how it got it's name. I had three large deer jump out right in front of me, and had to hockey stop, to avoid hitting them. I went back over to the east side for one more run, which was a bad move. I took one run across ridge run, to arch across the mountain. This is a slower run to begin with, but the glue gun was used on the entire length of the run, because the sun had warmed the fresh, wet snow. My last run, I had to fight to keep from falling, because it was extremely sticky....I should have stayed on the west side. The coverage was pretty good and I used my good skis. Overall, it was an excellent day. I spoke to an employee and they said they hope to stay open through Easter.
  7. I was planning on going somewhere, Friday, since I'm off of work, but they are calling for rain and thunderstorms at all of the ski areas . Sunday looks like the best day, if there is any snow left. When I was at Bell on Tuesday, the said that they want to stay open for another three weeks.
  8. I would have, but dropped my damn phone while loading and broke it. Snow was in good shape and the 2" helped. I'll probably post something tomorrow. I'm beat, after also running around today.
  9. It snowed at Bell. Leaving for there in 15 minutes.
  10. I'm out for Hunter. My work schedule changed .
  11. I called before I left the house and the message said that they were open. I called on my way and tried to get an operator at 8 am and nobdoy answered. I finally got somebody to answer around 8:15 . The radar didn't look bad, so I figured that they would be open. I was more than half way there, so I went to McDonald's at Lake Harmony, took a nap, drove around, and basically killed 1.5 hours until I went to BB. Foggy as hell at BB and kind of icy, with mist. On my way to CB, it was clearing up until I got around the 80/ 81 junction, then it got shitty again.
  12. Definately a fun day. I woke up late and had to force myself to get up. I was still asleep when I pulled into the lot at 8:35, and wasn't paying attention, then Jeff yelled to me. I booted up, threw on sunscreen and also helped Doug save his skin. They made it to the ticket window before me, but reassured me that there would be fresh powder left. I ended up getting 18 runs in with the crew, before heading home and crashing for an hour. It was fun meeting some new people. I should have taken a face shield though, because the twin tip spary was brutal.
  13. Was a really nice day. Snow got soft real quick.
  14. I plan on going Monday and Tuesday, since CB will be closed.
  15. I wonder why the don't have sitzmark open, since the widow lift is running. That would be an additional trail, for us non-jib honks.
  16. I don't think they need to do that. There's a ton of snow on the trails.
  17. My knees are starting to remind me of that .
  18. I plan on being there. They have too much snow to pass up. Today was sweeeeeet .
  19. I asked today and they said that they will be closed Mon-Thurs.
  20. From WNEP, on the record breaking season: http://www.wnep.com/wnep-mon-record-breaki...story?track=rss
  21. Looks good. I'll be there Tuesday morning.
  22. I might be there. Haven't decided yet on BB of CB. I can get my fix on Mittl-Weg, and it usually stays in really good shape.
  23. Everybody deserves applause . They busted their butts this year. Everybody was really friendly, which is amongst many of the reasons why I get my pass for JFBB. Along with everybody else at JFBB, the lift attendants also deserve a lot of praise. This year had some long, brutally cold temps, and they endured all of it, and still greeted you with a smile and conversation.
