  2. so i just bought what it think is a great deal 2006 head M 3.70 skis with 2006 SL 100 bindings all for 170 plus shipping i know the bindings will probably be crap, but theyre not for me. this is a christmas present for my mom, and she doesnt ski really hard. just groomers. i would like to know pros/cons about the skis/bindings if anyone has anything to say. thanks alot oh, heres some pics not sure if those are EXACTLY the same ski as advertised, but its similar
  3. then that means cb will most likely also be opening. two mountains opening at the same weekend. cb has to

    Snow at CB

with the warm weather coming in, i think it would actually work for them to blow a lot of snow while they can, instead of opening. that way, they may lose alot of snow, but will still have a good base. and the new management is great. i was sold just by the park improvements.

    Snow at CB

haha, ok well, i dont have great news, just normal stuff i guess. they have alot of snow at the base, 5 or 6 feet, the lowest spot is like 3 feet. once they push the snow around and all, they should have a pretty thick base, around 4-5 feet. one of the "snow techs" talked to us, theyre pretty nice, didnt bitch about us being there or anything. we got to talkin about the hotter temps. all i could get out of him was that they wont be able to blow on saturday. well, what does that mean? so i didnt really get any info on anything except that they have a deep base. they are also blowing on most of the right side of the mountain. marjies was brought up. theyre blowing on laurel too. basically, everything on the right side. thats all i got. i had fun whippin around in the parking lot full of snow though. no word on opening dates though. sorry guys edit: OH! he did say that there is enough snow for them to open now, "but who would want to ski that many trails"
  7. yea, so i went today, the snow was GREAT! got the 3rd or 4th chair. left my house around 430, got there at like 8 cause traffic was pretty bad. the snow was really good for this early. good coverage. nice rail park. it was a really great first day. i left pretty early cause i wanted to get home. it took me a long time to get used to my skis, and im still not used to them. its gonna be a great day tomorrow to, they still have alot of nice, dare i say it, fluffy snow. it should still be good. have fun guys
  8. guess that means i have no choice, we have to go to bellearye win-win for me haha

check the cam right now, its snowing they will also be making snow tonight starting around 8, dont know for how long though, and when they will open etc...
  12. what kinda details do you need?
  13. check out the webcam right now, laurel used to be completely covered so did the meadows
  14. yea, so the belleayre site says they got 4 inches of new snow. and if you'll notice, the pic brtndominant posted has also been updated with the new snowfall
  15. i doubt it, but heres some ideas
  16. but how will the mountain be? granted, its most likely only one trail and maybe the rail park, but will that be crowded to. obviously, if you need a lift ticket to do the jam, and the jam will be crowded, then the mtn must be crowded. i really dont know about this trip, its crowded, far as hell, and one run open. plus im not competing, so i dont know. it will be crazy fun, but still.
  17. right now, im negotiating (sp?) with brtndominant to see if we want to go. i'll be driving if we go. this is still up in the air, but if we feel it is worth going, as in, number of trails open, length of time allowed to ski, etc... then we will go. also, if some other mountain much closer opens up, i would rather go there. does anyone know what time bellayre opens, how many trails they have opened, how late the stay opened, and if this will be good for new skis (i dont want to hit any rocks, so coverage needs to be pretty good) again, this is still somewhat undecided, but we may go. this whole trip will cost me close to 100 bucks, and i could use that money, so we'll see, but if i could meet somebody with a van somewhere, that would be awesome, save me some time and money.
  18. will you pay for gas? not all of it, just a portion
  19. so cb will be opened on the 3rd?
  20. yea, the picture looks a little wierd to me. but it does have a topsheet on it. like i said in my other post they just have to cut pieces for the back supports, i think.
  21. its at the bottom of rhodo where it connects with the other trails, where the hippo used to be. it is setup sideways, but they raised the ground in front of it so that its level. you can get plenty of speed. it is technically at an angle, but since they leveled off the ground in front of it, it should be straight on. its huge, pretty dam tall.
  22. theres some sort of banquet there tonight, not sure if thats why they arent blowing snow or not. they have a pretty good base in most areas. laurel glade is covered top to bottom with at least an inch, other spots had 2 or 3 feet, of course there's some small spots with no snow. the wall ride is at the bottom where the trails connect (I know, I know ) top sheet is on, everything seems pretty much done, but they are cutting pipe for the supports in the back. this thing is pretty big. it compares pretty well to mt creeks and/or BC's wall i think. the mailbox rail is in (unless the never took it out). the new boxes look really good. should be real fun to ride. i didnt pay attention to the snowtubing hill, but i guess there's snow on it. once the snow really gets pumping, and the temperature stays at a constant low, as well as humidity, we should be on our way.
