Last Thanksgiving's snowmaking window was great. Our snowmaking goal was to use the window as efficiently as possible and opening the weekend after T-Day would have limited the amount of snow we could make across the entire resort. We did open a small terrain park on the tubing hill, not necessarily a hike park since the magic carpet was running the entire time. It was a great turnout and hopefully we'll be able to start the season off with a bang again.

So the past couple days i've been trying to make some sort of plan of attack for the winter season. I'm not sure how much of a plan this really is, but you'll probably get the gist of things. -Relocate the NEW AND IMPROVED Planet rails and boxes -Play with my super cool new stencils -Finish signage, benches, trash cans and other misc. stuff -Build some "natural" type features. (watch out on cbkactionsports.com for your chance to choose what i build) -Refurbish some oldies but goodies. Look out for the throwback rails!! -Measure the halfpipe (we learned some sweet pipe cutting tricks at Cutter's Camp...) -Recycle some rusty beat up junk by turning it into shreddable, fun junk... -Wear my pajamas inside out every day until it gets cold enough to make snow (it helps i promise)

Just so everyone knows we are starting Teen Night #1 out of 4. Tonight and the next three fridays we'll be open from 8-11 under the lights. Come ride the Flowrider, CBK Turf or some of the water rides for $15. It's going to be a good time dont miss out!!

The only skiers that have ridden it so far are Tom Lyons, Brendan Wisby, Kristie Adonizio, and myself...hopefully there will be more to come. It's now open to the public!!

You should probably come see what you're referring to before you decide which setup is better. The $10 event fee gets you unlimited surfing, boogie boarding, snowboarding or skiing. We'll also have a bunch of prizes to give away throughout the evening. We'll have two different boxes in by Sunday. The flat box you see in the picture and a flat down that we're building right now.

So for all of you that have been itching to get back on your skis and boards I've got great news for you. Over the past couple months I have been working on a really cool project here at Camelback. It's called CBK Turf. Its basically a year round, snowless terrain park setup and it's located right in the heart of Camelbeach next to the Flowrider. We've been testing and tuning the entire facility for the past couple weeks and I'm ready to open to the public. If you've never ridden on turf before I would suggest coming to try it out. This isn't quite the same as other dry riding setups and I think anybody that comes to check it out will be happy they did. Here's the grand opening event info!!! Surf and Turf Jam Session Date: Sunday July 19th Time: 4pm-7pm The event will cost $10 along with admission to the park. At 3:45pm you can purchase a twilight ticket. It is an informal jam style competition and we will be giving away prizes from Liquid Lightening, The Loft, Common-Grind, Nike 6.0, Camelback and possibly some other cool stuff. The comp fee will allow you unlimited access to the turf setup along with the Flowrider all night. If you've never tried the to surf the Pocono's largest wave you should definitely bring your suit and give it a try. Don't miss out on your chance to be one of the first in Pennsylvania to ski and/or snowboard in July. You wont be disappointed!! Feel free to post any questions, I'll try to answer as many as I can.

Ross has been doing alot of work. The profiles are way more in depth now. You can add albums and add applications to your profile. The commenting system for the pics and articles has been updated. And the video section is now completely searchable and you can upload your own video or post from another website. Go and check it out its really comming along very nicely..... Will

We've got a BIG suprise for the park riders this weekend. I wouldn't worry about the lines or crowds, but I would worry about bringing your jumping skills. Rhodo will be unrecognizable. Hope to see a bunch of new faces this weekend. Dont forget that if you have a season pass to any other resort you can ride FOR FREEEEE!! Just bring your pass to the welcome center for a comp ticket, shred for a day, and then come back and do it again as many times as you want until the season is over. Hard to beat this deal

Whats up everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that this Sunday the 22nd you need to come to Camelback to check out the Jib for George event. Some of the sickest riders on the east coast are gonna be there along with tents from Liquid Lightning and Nike 6.0. We might even throw some stuff out into the crowd for the fun of it, after all whats the point of a competition if no one is there to watch it. So now that all of our USASA comps are over we've started revamping all of the parks. As the weather cooperates more we'll continue working on the Rhodo jumps, Lower Moore's, and Turkey Trot.
