No sugar but plenty of scrap spots and the good snow was all rollers. I would have been happy with it being bumped up but I guess we didn’t get enough snow.
Blowing on Chute and Widowmaker was noticeably new to me while still hitting the same trails they had going this morning
yea kinda weird the new snow compacted into washboard pumps everywhere and coming soon was ....closed for racing.
was gonna call it after 3 runs but then found some decent snow left side of main and did 3 last runs until they shut down the OG6 and the lines got too long

Utah is getting dumped on like crazy. I saw something like 58-84” total predicted for Alta, prob enough for closures. Lucas videos always bangers.
Pops mentioned yesterday that his son in law(?) was out there but they were closed

Windham is like Okemo, I've ski'd both a few times and can't remember a damn thing about either one, good or bad. That in itself makes we never want to go back

Oh boy.... ski patrol has ding guns now! What are the range on tbose things. If we ever get an ikonic natty dump can they ding us from the chair lift if we go off piste?
Today was quite pocono packed powder conditions. Midway to Main was far better than Nile Mile. Park still super fun.
more big brother shit than that, i read something last week epic(?) shut down some passes based on tracking apps linked to RFID cards for peeps skiing closed terrain... fuck vail
last night was a *little* slick lol, 3 and out

If I had woods and snow to noodle around in all the time I’d probably never do another “downhill” day again!

Ugh, let the anxiety begin. I've just used the same pass for the past 5 years or so and it always works. Do I need to do something different this year? I stress out about the pass not working more than I should.

Soul of Alta
in Other Mountains
Posted
Was only there once, need to get back. Niko and I rode with Indiggio and son on a boot deep day and had a hoot. I remember it was the first "big" day on the new hip and I was skiing a little tentatively, decided to break off after lunch and cruise with the girls. After a run or two Mrs SnoBunski was done so her friend Jan, who is a long time Alta skier and knows the mountain like the back of her hand, took me on a magic tour. I knew it was going to be good on the lift when she asked if I minded a few rocky traverses, lol.
