  1. if you were out before four then you should've been escorted off. As far back as I can remember the only time you can't use the offpeak is before 4 on weekends and holidays. Thats why the pass is so cheap... but if it was after 4 and they gave you the boot you should work on getting some $$$ back if you were out before four then you should've been escorted off. 2. yeah, the rollercoaster looks cool from the lift and thats about it. way to short to be any fun...enough circus rails now, how about some buttery stuff

    PARK PASS!

tonight was a primo example of why a park pass is needed. about a 1/4 of the way down the park some mom and her super young son ran my girlfriend into the woods and at the same time the kid fell. Next thing you know the overweight mom is waving a ski pole in her face. Anyway, I'm heading to mountain creek on wednesday and will finally get to see the effectiveness of a park pass. oh yeah, and bear is finally starting to get back to their former glory although the rollercoaster is stupidly short

wow justin, you're lucky, the new park crew must've been on siesta after you left because the park was absolute crap...where's the original odpc at?
  5. My girlfriend was just sitting here reading this and said she saw you there, she was wearing a puffy yellow section jacket and was smoking kids on main st
  6. it's a shop competion, teams of i believe four current employee's...or individual sponsored riders. Ride snowboards puts it on. I have a flyer around the shop somewhere
  7. To add to the negativity, quote me on what everyone's said so far

    Discordial wins. It was hebbel
  9. i guess what my point is that they made it look a little cooler, for lack or a better work, for buyers and shop employees, then were a little dissapointed when the arrived in shops
  10. Rome had some of us from the shop head up to sugarbush last april to demo their 06 prod. DH, from what they told me they were having issues with all of the straps and buckles and it is fixed. I rode the targas and they rode great and were way comfy. The bummer was the proto's had carbon in the high back and they canned it for the production bindings. All in all they are a well made binding that rides really well

    RIDE Timeless

this year the timeless isn't capped. They still use their capped concept, but incorporate it into a sidewall. The biggest differences in the sidewall vs cap argument are its dampening proprties and durability. gots to go pack, leaving for killing in an hour
  12. at this point either way you go you're set, both are awesome bindings, in our shop we've sold out of both formula's and cartels already. I put the formula's on my park board and they rode great at opening weekend at killington. But i have a bunch of friends that ride cartels and love them too. Good choice either way. as a side note, the reason i went with the formula's was personal preference on the fact that i like a shorter highback on my park board. THe high-back on the cartels is way tall. it's all just preference
  13. SPI's are tight bindings, but for a park binding (softer more forgiving) there's way better values, although 200 isn't bad. The rome 390's sell for 170, and are sick for rome's first attempt at bindings. Way comfy and pretty light binding. The k2 formulas are my favorite binding for this season. Like i said before, they really upped their binding program. super cush ankle strap, cored and easily rotatable highback, and a good mix of being nice and buttery but still responsive when needed. they sell for 160 ( i think thats our shelf price) whatever you do, don't get flow's
  14. The new rome bindings are killer. Demo'd them last year, super comfy very responsive. Salomon's are probably the most durable binding on the market, they don't look thebest but are a great value. Technine makes come nice binding that ride very well Rides are sick, enough said K2's new Formula and A-Team's are sick bindings, They really stepped up their binding program this season. Burton Bindings speak for themselves. If you look at what most pros are riding, they are on Cartels. What are you mainly riding, park?
  15. yeah, its a bummer, i rearranged the shop's sched so we could take a crew up, now i have to redo the sched for next week, at least i got up there for sunday
  16. my girlfriend Chrissy and I at the top ugly first day on real snow frontside 5 days until we do it again. They are supposed to open for good saturday
  17. i drove nestor jr up, we left the shop at 10 PM arrived at the econo lodge in Rutland at 2:45, for october it was effin awesome, working on getting pics up soon, this weekend we have a crew of about 9 from the shop doing another day trip
  18. just booked my room at the econo lodge in mendon for sat night early sun morning to ride sunday
  19. Here's what I can tell you after selling them for the past few seasons. We don't carry the slick at all anymore at nestor's. Its pretty much useless if you plan on trying to ride it anywhere other than street rails. The edge stops at the contact point on the slick which lets you enter turns but once in the middle of your turn you have no edge at all. It doesn't slide any easier than the regular dom. The recessed edge if designed so that you don't get caught up in kinks, no metal on metal action. If you de-tune your regular dom you shouldn't have any issues anyway. In, my opinion its a waste of a snowboard unless you are buying a brand new board for street rails, and if thats the case you're probably the perfect candidate for a burton vapor and a kick to the teeth seriously though, don't waste your money on a slick if you are considering one in the future. Later dude
  20. most definately check out women's specific gear. women's gear is softer lighter and narrower and i'm guessing you don't want something that is going to be harder than necessary to put up on edge. Those boards I recommended are all fairly inexpensive(330ish) but will hold up well. If you're looking for a little more board I'd say check out the K2 Luna. It was the first women's specific board on the market and is still one of the best selling women's boards aimed at all levels of riding. Peace
  21. K2 skyla, ride solace, burton feather, salomon radiant....they would all be sick boards for you to progress on but not outgrow as a rider too soon. Send me a message if you have any questions, I head up the snowboard shop at Nestor's in Whitehall.
  22. on a side note, don't take everything that is being said as a stereotype for all shops. although it seems that ski999 has a problem with shops in general, go to a reputable/knowledgeable shop and i can guarantee you that your experience will be worth paying a little more than ebay for. besides what isn't a better feeling than leaving a shop with your gear in hand...waiting a week to get it after you paid 20-40 in shipping, or getting it next day for an extra 60-70...in conclusion, i think i said it on here before, support your shop, you'll get more out of it...and you won't get carpal tunnel syndrome from buying ski gear on ebay all summer

if you haven't gotten boots yet come see me at nestor's. I've got salomon f20's, the best selling boot over $200. This is the boot that every company in the industry took 4 years to figure out how to copy it ie. the DC "park boot", all of the rides. In my opinion its one of the best fitting boots on the market. I"ve sold through almost my entire size run though, 9.5 and 10 is all i have left. q-town has some more sizes left than i do in whitehall
  25. anyone snowboarders looking for full time work that are in the quakertown area or willing to drive should stop in nestor's and apply. awesome perks for anyone thats never worked in the industry before...
