That’s why I’m trying to lose weight...I turn 40 next month and I’m nervous about future obesity related health problems...I’ve been lucky as fuck thus far but if you play with fire long enough you’re gonna get burned...just got into the 230s for the first time in like a year and a half..haven’t been in the 220s in like 5 years..could be there by July 1. Doesn’t seem like much but pants I wore with no belt a month ago are sagging halfway down my ass.

Sun valley is low elevation and receives one of the lowest average annual snowfalls of any Rocky Mountain resort. It’s apparently very sunny with great groomers.

I think they’re rated on many different attributes and deer valley likely gets top marks on Grooming, Low crowds(they limit ticket sales and food...perhaps even off snow stuff like spas. I dont read skiing magazines since I already know everything.

It’s impossible to be objective when you have nothing to compare it to. You’d have a great time anywhere in the Rockies.

Your dad doesn’t care about snow conditions though. Crazy that a groomer guy isn’t about getting first tracks when the groomers are immaculate.

I feel like Salty would freakout on a low visibility day at Jackson hole..and the groomers get beat up pretty fast like by 11.

Everyone loves Jackson hole..although it’s slumming a little bit for Nazareth jay band cause it’s not as posh as Aspen..

What have you been snowboarding for 25 years? I don’t even really think most of Jackson hole is that intense most of what I ski there is on the upper intermediate to advanced side of things which I find a lot more pleasant than skiing at Blue..I’ve only skied a few of the double diamonds at Jackson hole all deserve their rating. Jackson is good because it’s close to the airport, cheap lodging, reasonably priced food and drink...and it snows a lot more than Colorado mid winter. Honestly and @NMSKI can attest to, I find crossing the streets in Jackson hole to be more challenging than most of the runs. It’s cause they don’t use salt and I’m a dumbass for walking around in adidas. This year I’m getting those crampons that go over sneakers.

I don’t plan on returning to steamboat. Two days there five years ago was enough but for Salty it would be good.

Steamboat would be good for you. Not that much hard terrain
