haha, make an offer. im printing out the return shiping labels.

they do indeed. he ought to put a helmet on before he tries to wrap his mind around that.
-
indeed, i fit them in store and purchased online because i had a promotional code.

thats pretty ridiculous. the greater and lesser than symbols dont refer to a quadratic sidecut do they? thats very, very odd. they cad-up the designs for every model. why keep the consumer in the dark?
-
skier fashion is so hot right now.
-
i got two lefts for my new boots! wooow...
-
when i complete my new bindings, ill post some pictures up here.

do you really need to calculate the sidecut radius yourself? im surprised they dont tell you this in the product specs. i dont recall any snowboard manufactures that neglect this.

445 wax jobs a pretty tall order! I'll need to get more Whacks for the PASR days because my incoming shipment is almost depleted just from pre-orders. PM me if you want to scoop up the last bars. -adrian

great job, and i mostly agree with your plans, and that area past easy street would be great. i seriously doubt management would develop so much just jutting out there, but again, we can wish. i was hoping i could upload a higher resolution picture to the pasr gallery, and if needed, ill use photobucket.

He guaranteed I'll get it before December so I expect a first week of December arrival, haha. I will definitely let you know when it arrives. -adrian

The most recent review: So Steve took a risk and sent me a blob of Whacks unsolicited with a note saying something to the effect of don?t knock it until you try it, which is fair enough. I told him I?d test it and post my thoughts, for better or worse. deep down I doubted that his product could be anything but mediocre, but seeing how wax is mostly wax I figured it would probably be ?nothing special? ?no better or no worse than average wax. So on the weekend I waxed up 2 boards, a 05/06 Rome agent 162 and a 04/05 (?) Airblaster/Travis Parker ?FUN!? 158. Both boards have medium level sintered bases. Since I know how the agent rides I waxed it with an all temperature Swix wax, and on the FUN! board I used Whacks. I thought that since the agent has a couple more cm?s of running length that that would potentially confuse the findings if the agent performed better, and using whacks on the more unknown board would reveal if it is an ?exceptional? wax. One thing is for sure, Whacks is one of the hardest waxes to scrape off that I have ever used! I took both boards up to the hill on Monday. The conditions were corduroy, packed powder and powder. The air temperature varied from ?5 C to 1 C (thats about 23 to 34 F) I took 2 runs on the agent first, encountering all the above conditions. It was groomer to a steep section to a flat area that I had to straightline in order to get to the pow. After the pow was a long flat area that you had to pump and work to keep your speed on to make it back to the lift. I choose this line because you have to carry your speed right through the steep choppy part in order to not skate back to the lift. To me, that is where a good wax is crucial. Skating is tiring and annoying. Following that I took 2 runs on the FUN! board. I alternated like this for about 2.5 hours, same runs, same lines. Overall, I found that I had an easier time keeping my speed with the FUN! board waxed with Whacks. The Whacks glided better, and worked more consistently throughout the day, and seemed to hold up better. The agent got slower as the day went on, but the Whacks board seemed to stay fast, this could be because Whacks seems to be a very hard wax, and in my experience a hard wax lasts longer. The difference was quite noticeable on the flat parts, I think I had more speed getting to the pow but I definitely had more speed on the long flat return to the lift. If there was a negligible difference in the performance of the two boards then that could be explained by faulty waxing techniques etc but in this case the FUN! board definitely performed better. I?m going to run this test when its really cold out and again in the spring as well. drjcv @ burton.com

got first poaches on whsitler last year. fantastic.

yes, left of fast track is what i was talking talking about n the woods. thanks for the information on the cliff. i didnt know it was all that. concerning going up hill and boarders, i can move wickedly for a rider, haha. however, i like to sit down to strap in so thats an equalizer of sorts. my high back has too much forward lean to stand and do it, but when i mount up with my new stiffer high backs, i can afford to ease off the lean. hopefully ill still get the same great response and be able to strap standing.

wasnt there a cliff on boomer before? i heard it was there before i moved to the area. i dont think it would work because of liability, but we can dream about a run under that lift, haha. that would be pretty amazing. that bottom area would get pretty tight with all that area emptying into it, but i agree that would be great. we need someone to scoop that place up quickly after this season is over to put that lift in. i like moving between the north face and that far side, but its pretty inconvenient taking two slow lifts in a row. at least moving to the north face is far easier. i think they could easily cut trails on the fat side of the far side. many people ride the woods out there, so its quite possible. all the way on the right seems to drop off steeply. it would be nice, but i doubt they would do that because they like that place as a beginners area. plus, those trails would be very isolated from any trails of even moderate difficulty.

i love montage, but i could go for new lifts.

boo for montage the way it is. no snow.

big mis edit up top! i meant that burton definitely did not invent aluminum honeycomb! i agree wholeheartedly that thats a lie. its a ski technology stolen by sims stolen by every other board manufacturer. yes, burton and mervin are definitely lying in their ad campaigns on these issues.
-
please post if you see them start blowing after the rain.
-
the addition of tombstones or different jumps involve the hips better. a single forward jump that reaches the straight table landing wouldnt be optimal for landing on the closer, steeper hip landing.
-
honeycomb is indeed a ski technology that was harnessed by sims first im guessing.
-
burton definitely invented aluminum honeycomb cores. its rather lame. mervin produces low end product in china. burton boards are pressed in vermont, canada, and austria. i believe they too produce low end product in china. burton outwear is produced in asia, but whos isnt? vapor is definitely overpriced. period. also, i have heard that crinkle fry story and it may be true. however, it was a board designer not a rep.

wow, lets hope my stock comes in and that never has to be the case, haha.
