    magna traction

seems like exactly the same idea with different numbers and sizes of serrations. mfm has been keeping technine afloat. yes, its an overstatement, but you know what im getting at.

    New waxing technique

Ski and snowboard bases are made out of polyethylene, which is a thermoplastic material composed of polymers of ethylene. Even if it's a high end graphite base, it's still just graphite added to the polethylene pellets. So I suppose you can call it fancy plastic thanks. youll learn one day, kiddo!

    Whacks Wax

It stuck to the base because of it its thick nature. This occurred because of the oversight on my part of forgetting my scraper when I planned to scrape that morning, but when scraped, this is not an issue at all. Whacks has run well in testing in a wide range of temperatures, but hopefully, you'll take the opportunity judge that for yourself this season! -adrian
  7. sorry, montageskier asked if i was from sem.
  8. That makes me sad, but nice set up, bro.

  11. yes, in the terrain park, but na, i rode away with painfully but was out of commission for a couple of weeks. many flocked, which is how i thought you might have seen me. you got my appearance dead on so you must have seen so sometime (or checked out my gallery picture).
  12. not all bindings are burton 3d compatible (for example, rome), and only burton bindings are burton 2x compatible. in salomon's case, they are indeed 3d compatible.
  13. i work in mysterious ways custom x - top of the slope (shop) cfx - ebay (online, of course, haha) cap straps - country ski and sport (shop) superstraps - burton (factory direct)
  14. indeed, i was christened "the snowman." (young jeezy what!) haha were you there when i crashed? that was a crowd pleaser.
  15. due largely to robot food, i get pumped up by 80s rock, no joke.

    New waxing technique

im not sure it would do anything at all, harm or good. plastic is pretty impermeable at room temperature, and if its something skin safe, i dont think it would do much harm. however, we can agree that it would not help much. the superficial slick layer of soap would be worn off skating to the lift. in his defense, perception is reality, and the psychological effect does exist.

    magna traction

this technology is actually being used by many companies under different labels. burton's variation is called "pressure distribution edges." it is not as dramatic as magna traction, but it was designed and functions with the same theory.

    fast boards

for ridiculous high speed action, scope out the neversummer titan (which is a tank with exclusive durasurf shoes) and the burton custom x (its good enough for adrian! haha).

    New Stuff

adrian's the scoop for 06 - moss green burton ronin 6/4 jacket - moss green pants (forgot the model) - white burton ruler boots - white r.e.d. trace - clear anon halcyon lens - woodgrain cfx bindings im considering anon figments at the moment, and hopefully, i can add "season pass" to that list, haha. many companies are actually using this with different labels. for example, burton has "pressure distribution edges." burton's variation is not as dramatic as magna traction but are designed and function with the same theory in mind.

    Hot wax

Thin wins; thick sticks! Concerning Whacks, as mentioned in the review I posted in the Whacks topic in the Classifieds section, its very thick, durable, lasting wax, and therefore, it's difficult to scrape off. To be honest, there were times I didn't even fully scrape, but I was still clipping along, haha! This is not a wax you can just ride off so for maximum performance please scrape. -adrian

    goggles

i had oakleys then tried out anons (because i have a r.e.d. helmet) and havent looked back. i have the halcyons, but i might pick up figments because they are so affordable. i suggest them for any riders and now even skiers are wearing them. if you have glasses, smith has the best glasses compatible models, and their stuff is solid. scope it out!

    Snowboard Helmet

im ordering the r.e.d. trace. simple styling at for cheap (got mine for $40 minus what i sell my helmet for), im on the train!

    low light googles

anon produces a wide range of lens tints, and the halcyons switch lenses faster than any goggle i have ever ridden with. i have clears for night riding, but my daytime mirrored blue silver fades are actually bearable at night (and i cant even stand normal amber/persimmon/orange at night).
  24. custom x @ $250 + super cfxs @ 115 (105 base bindings + 10 cap straps + 0 superstraps) = $365 custom x retail $650 cfx retail $240 capstrap retail $20 superstrap retail $40 adrian <3s sales, haha.

    snowboard demos

i was looking at the atomic hatchet as a dork around board. they make boards with tech at such a value. they are often avoided because at heart they truly are a ski manufacturer. one day, im going to have to look past that and just look at them as a company with vast snow sport experience and give these boards a try.
