how hard were the blue squares?
I am just learning stem-christies. Do you think I will be alright?
I'm glad your attempting to take dougs place. Your doing well. Keep at it.

I think we need a trip report. There trying to stay open 7 days a week according to there facebook site. I was really considering heading up this weekend since I have nothing planned but the advanced only terrain is kinda detering me from doing so. How were the runs that were avaiable etc.
Took 10 hours to get there from Montgomery County. Roads were absolute shit, trees down across 287 and 87.
As for the hill. Typical North Ridge terrain open, more ropes got dropped throughout the day. Ended up hiking more than actually riding lifts. Hiked over to North Star a few times to get some knee deep laps in, and catch a cat track on the way out back to the gondola. They got 9 inches of snow earlier in the week and id say another 9-10 up at the top of the hill with about 6 at the base. Best opening weekend I've ever done at Killington. I'm not really sure what the forecast looks like but as long as it's stays cold they are trying to open up as much as quickly as possible.

I'll post some up tonight when i get home from work

Went up to Killington. Shit was sick!

200 takes it. Don't need it at all.

Board has been ridden probably about 10 days. I believe it's from 09, whatever the first year it was that it came out. It's a 159, the thing rips it's just a bit small for what i want. Looking for around 250. Will post up pictures.

I wouldn't really say these are hard to get. The only Kaiju that is considered Rare is the pro model soccer cleat looking Kaiju, as only 1000 were made.
Solid boot though, just a bit soft.

LOL...you must have a lot of experience skiing in high end boots to make that claim. Doug really should be in something 120+, but to each his own. He has the weight/strength to flex any boot.
Coming from the kid that thinks he needs the stiffest shit out there but would probably have more fun on a recreational carving ski. What do you need a 130 flex boot for? Do you race? No, do you huck big shit? No, I've never even seen you leave the ground. Someone in a 100 flex boot could ski the same as you.
Talk shit all you want but you don't know as much as you think you know.
Jus sayin.

Hunter started blowing later than Blue but will be open earlier...props to Hunter..
It's gonna be the run that u see the snowguns on and maybe Belt Parkway...and I'm not down to travel for WROD..already got my WROD quota 4 weeks ago at K-mart
Pa is a constant WROD what the fuck are you talking about.

Big Boulder doesn't enforce speed. Their ski patrol is actually pretty cool
Thats because by the time you even get up to a decent speed at boulder your at the bottom.
-
Yeah, it was pretty dead. Never any more then 5-6 people on the whole trail at any given point.
Haha yeah, i heard the lifties joking about how dead it was going to be on monday and it was definitely the time to be there.
-
Wish i could of been up there yesterday. Would be nice to ride with no people on the trail.
-
You could just go skiing and get a report for yourself. I'm almost positive you'll be more satisfied.
-
I really liked the DH when i demo'ed it last year.
-
Justo said they're all the same fit, too. I'm sure GSS didn't like the logistics of ordering boots.
Doug does not need a 110 flex boot...
-
Were they doing any snowmaking Dan?
They were blowing when we got there, but it warmed up quickly and the guns turned off.
-
was up there today. had a fucking blast. They had a rail, a corrugated pipe, and a shotgun rail set up. The 3 trail thing is bullshit. It's the same trail from the midstation and maybe a beginner trail. But the snow was good, lots of fun shit to do on the sides of the trail.
Definitely worth the 3 hour drive.
-
website says 3 trails. I'll be up there tomorrow

Actually 5 places open in VT for T-Day if you want to include the Northern mountains Stowe and Sugarbush was also open. Smugglers Notch will also be opening this Sat, the season is finally here.
Yes but regardless, your paying premium dollar to ski a few crowded runs and drive longer. When you could do the same thing at belleayre and save a few bucks.
55 bucks to ride a few top to bottom runs is a bit much. At least at the beast you can get the 2for1 tix.

haha, if your banking on winning because your video is under 2 minutes and his is a few seconds over 2 minutes. Good luck.
2 minutes is just a basic guideline so they don't get 1000 10 minute videos to sift through.
-
And the fact that you've contributed nothing to this board, and now you ask of something from us, is kind of weak.

Mt. Snow is also going to be PACKED.. Only 2 places open in VT on t-day weekend...

They need to learn how to groom before they get any new guns.
