  1. I was also up there tonight. After getting rear ended by some lady in her pick up truck on 22. I was with my girlfriend though, so it was a laid back night, just cruising around. Pretty good conditions, but i didn't get a chance to check out the new park.

  2. Straightlining Falls is the only way I know how to ski it. I like when there's a small lip right before it gets steep and you can get alot distance in the air.

Yeah, ive hit falls many times when it's had a lip and cleared half the hill

That sucks man, I hope it heals fast for you. I was standing in the liftline yesterday and watched as patrollers brought down two people sitting in a sled on Main Street. The one guy was leaning his head over holding his wrist.

Nah, that wasn't me, i finished out my run and took another before i called it quits. And thanks bro. Im gonna give it a week or 2, hopefully it'll be better by then.

  3. i was up there yesterday, but left early after i messed up my wrist really bad(messing around in moguls) So ill be taking a break to let it heal as it really hurts to type this. Straight lining falls was fun though.

  4. My girlfriend was just sitting here reading this and said she saw you there, she was wearing a puffy yellow section jacket and was smoking kids on main st

Im pretty sure i was standing next to her in the lift line, unless there was someone else with a yellow jacket on.

  5. Ill take fresh powder all day everyday.

Thats a snowboarders opinion though, i guess you skiers like ice instead.

Wow, that snowfall forecast changed from earlier this afternoon when the heaviest band was shown a bit further south.

This is why I love this board.

Was it two winters ago that we had a big snow dump and CB actually closed because the PA Governor declared a state of emergency and the CB employees couldn't make it to the mountain?

That's the irony of having too much snow at one time.

Thats when you go there and hike it. If you want to ride that bad you will.

  6. AlienBoarder there must of been 4 times as many riders as skiers. Lazy Mile was real forgiving but the last section is so dangerous because it's narrow and gets alot of traffic. It would be a dangerous place for a Chinese downhill and there would definitely be carnage if you caught an edge and flew into the net.

Thats why i stuck to mainstreet for most of the night. Not crowded, and good conditions made for fast laps.

  7. Damn i must have missed you guys. I was there from around 5:15 to 8:30. If you saw someone with a white camo jacket, and stealth gray pants that was me. I might be up there again tomorrow.

Like atomic said, the conditions were great and since lazy mile was open, main street for the most part was empty.

  8. I am also in the philly area, and i wouldn't mind doing that but until i get my new job sundays won't work for me. I'm stuck working 12-5 every sunday until i quit my job, and find a new one. I don't mind driving, the hour and a half drive to blue doesn't bother me, as i do it a few times a week.

Anyway, keep in contact, and ill let you know when i can finally make sunday trips.

  9. nice..i love tanglwood though..workin there and i live..10 minutes from it? park isnt to bad either..

elk has been very strict...the people that ski there can be pretty gay..i got yelled at for not having a leash on my bindings...didnt they put a rule on ipods too?

Tanglwood is were i learned to ride. I have a house about 20 minutes away from there, but for the most part i ride blue now. I make it to tanglwood around 1 time a year if im lucky now.

I was there last year for the Blizzard in early january. Rode tanglwood at night, was 1 of 4 people at the mountain. Good times, fresh dump, to bad the mountain is so small. Glad to see there's some other people on here, that have ridden tanglwood.

I also rode elk the next day. Very fun. To bad they groomed all the trails or it would have been a sick pow day. They left a few ungroomed trails which were fun. Good times
