Thanks to that SWEET storm I'm getting out of school in an hour and forty five minutes!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE SNOWGODS!!
-
I've got a great one. Its a digitalway. Its tiny (3 x 1.5)'' and only cost 75 bucks. It may only have 256 MB of space on it, but I just change up my 40 or so songs every now and again and have no trouble. (who can really listen to the same songs over and over anyway)

From what you guys saw, when is Lightning going to be open? I can't wait to get back on it. I sure missed her.
-
I liked all the jumps, but the rails were way to crazy for me to hit as of yet. I like doing rails, but I'm not really confident in my ability to be 15 feet off the ground on a thin piece of metal.
-
That was terrible. One of my friends got caught up on it and slammed himself into the ground. Sitting down was not very fun for a while. They did close that one sometime during the afternoon and filled it in and softened it up.

Is the park side of switch going to be all we're going to get this year, or will they try to put a big park on upper/lower fast track if and when they open it?
-
Are they going to be able to start blowing on the park now that they have to fix the north face?
-
This weather is messed up. Half of my school district had a delay because of flooding, but this morning I woke up to heavy snow. Now when school is out, its warming up a lot and it stopped.
-
Thats really cool.
-
Its about time. Are they putting it back on Fast Track?
-
I just got back from montage and dare I say, they had really good conditions. Powder everywhere. Every thing was soft, smooth and just awesome. Some big jumps on cannonball and boomer, and there was a good bench to slide by the playground. Its always good to go boarding during a snowfall like this.
-
How big are the jumps on the course usually? Do they push you out or up? and one final question. Do you get to have a few warm up runs before the race?
I always felt I would be good at this type of thing, but never got a chance to try it til this year.
-
You've gotta remember that's not powder. The Sierras get "Sierra Cement" so you'd be skiing on top of it not in it. It's still a hell of a lot of snow though!
I'll take "Sierra Cement" to the mud and rocks that we have now (at least at Montage)
-
Anyone know how montage is going to be today?
-
True, but there may be other reasons besides just being at "fault" for shutting down the park. If there is an injury they have to do like a report on it. Which means they look at the area and investigate conditions, people's stories blah blah blah. Basically this means a portion of the trail is unusable, so since its the park, and its small to start with, not neccessary for traffic reasons etc. they may have felt, that it would be better not to have people on the trail during investigation.
sounds like a new show CSI:terrain park. But seriously, I never knew they had to fill out a report when someone gets hurt.

Awesome!!

Elk is really sweet, I love those diamonds. I've hit my fastest speeds on them. Elk is really great for going off trail too. If you jump the wall of snow around the park there is a huge wide open field. Its great if you have some natural snow.

Has anyone seen this new (and as far as I know only ever) tv commercial for Montage. It's hilarious. I'll bet they are now charging for the ski check to cover the $800 production fee for this one.

It was really depressing to have to clean off the cars and shovel the snow in the rain today. The rain took my snow from its original 2.75 inches all the way down to 2.0625 inches.
-
he is in the wyoming valley that is in luzerne county.
True, more specifically I'm in West Pittston. Right along the banks of the susquehanna.
-
I've got 2.75 inches of fresh powder in my yard and it doesn't seem to want to stop coming down!!!
-
We've got a pretty steady snowfall here, no sleet or rain in sight.
-
True, I guess an empty golf course is a little different than a slope crowded with people.
-
Was at blue today, and the snowmobiles where out of control. They were going REALLY fast, and flying through crowded areas like base. It was insane. I hope someone was seriously and thats they were moving that fast, but I assume they were just lead foots.
You can't really blame them. I know that when I work at a golf course in the summer half the fun is just driving really fast (and if no one is around wild and recklissy). You have to watch out though, one of the guys I work withe totaled a $15,000 golf cart.
