Indy-ish long weekend...VT/NH/MA?

Oh, man, I'm just now seeing this!--hopped on PASR to see what March conditions might be like at Blue this year for a little southern road trip. 

I sold my place last spring, but I used to live right on the shoulder of Ascutney and could walk to the rope tow/tbar. Really fun way to spend half a day when the snow is good--$20 lift tix.  It's staffed almost entirely with volunteers.

Yeah, there's no development allowed on the area the town purchased; it's all under a conservation easement. No motorized equipment above..I think 1500 feet, so there will never be a summit chairlift. 

The Brownsville Butcher and Pantry in town (I mean..."town") has great food and a killer beer selection (second only to the Irving gas station just up the road in Hartland). 

The Upper Valley is a great place to hit a bunch of Indy resorts. If you stay around Hanover, Woodstock (VT), Lebanon, or Windsor, you get  Whaleback, S6, Dartmouth Skiway, Magic, Ragged, Middlebury Snow Bowl, and Pat's Peak all within striking distance. Jay and Bolton are farther, but real treats. Bolton somehow always seems to have good snow when other resorts don't--some Chittenden County witchcraft, I guess.

Where are you living now?  I saw you took quite the road trip perhaps in the spring.

On Cape Cod at the moment, but have been van-lifing it for a bit--a little "sabbatical" from adulthood 😃 Back to Vermont in April, near Burlington. 

Thinking of one last little trip to the Lehigh Valley next month to do some mountain biking, and if Blue is still open in late March, maybe a couple of ski days.

Odd are there’s gonna be snow on the group and Blue will be open.
