  1. While I was only up there once this year. I did notice a lot more people there. I was skiing mid day on a week day, and the parking lot had 15 rows of cars. And while there werent any lift lines, every other chair had some one on it.
  2. Brand new bright lights on Whistler now.
  3. Its OK, He told me he got a B- in his English class. And DJ wasnt claiming, just speaking the truth, but not typing to well.
  4. Everything you said I agree with. The only good from this park is they are trying to build different jumps. They have never had a wedge type jump. I mean it really isnt a wedge, but thats what they were going for. I know when I rode up the lift the first time looking at the jumps, I said What the fuck. And then a couple hours later rode up the lift with a couple kids seeing the park for the first time, and they said the same thing.
  5. Today was the first day I skied all season. I was told not to ski at all this year because of my spleen. But 40 degrees, some sun, and a fresh park, I couldnt stay away. Also no stomach pains in a month made me confident. Got up there at 1130 and skied the park. I took a couple runs down, speed checked the jumps, and checked the rails set ups. Then skied Rattler for the first time in my life, cool little trail. Then I took two runs down WL, snow on it was perfect. Only thing shitty was the lines in the bumps werent very good. (For eveyrone who has been bitching about ski school people. I saw one of them double eject and fall down to the bottom of WL. So he got his.) THen one of my old skiing buddies came up and we hit the park. I was doing fine, then fell on a 540 on the second jump and double ejected. I instantly got up and screamed "fuck, my shoulder is dislocated or collar bone is broke. So i got my skis on, and skied down lower runaway. Got up the lift and had starngers walk my skis to my car, and take my boots off for me. Drove to the hospital and found out I seperated my shoulder. Shit hurts really bad. But, luckily my spleen is totally fine and have no pain at all. Park report- First two options are set up fine. Step up jump sucks big time. Three options are set up fine. Second and Third jump are good jumps. (Just dont look good) Overall the park is ok. But not great, and the jumps are not to big at all.
  6. Well the park is somewhat fun. But, I fell on the second jump, and seperated my shoulder.
  7. What do you know, they are grooming the park all day. It shoudlnt be open till 3. I asked why they didnt do it at night, and the lady said they cant do the whole mtn at night. I then said well what about weekends when its all groomed by 800. She was stunned. Also it makes no sense not to have your parked groomed early. Theres roughly 18 long trails for people to ski. Theres 2 parks, if takes a little longer to open 1/18 then who gives a fuck. I would have went to boulder today, but since they have crazy hours I cant go there.
  8. WOOOO. Big jumps, cant wait. Im gonna be up there for the first time tommorow 11-3. Ill be wearing a green suit from 3 yearsago, orange beanie, skullcandy headphones. I will be lapping the park the whole day and nothing else.
  9. Well I have to still decide if skiing is worth the risk, im not supposed to start skiing or anything physical until mid feb. So right around there, im supposed to be good.
  10. I was thinking about going skiing soon. Maybe I will come out for this.
  11. Could one of you guys give me an update when the park on Spike opens, also when the 13' opens? I dont feel like going up there and wasting money.
  12. If you want no lines on MLK, go to Sno. If you want glades go to VT. I dont care what Sno or JF says, they dont have tree skiing. A 100ft slope with sparatic trees are not glades. The side of white lightning is a good at Sno, but its not even on the map. If you want no lines on MLK, go to Sno. If you want glades go to VT. 13. They did it on the lower portion of Spike, so they could fit the super pipe in there. But, Im not sure why they did it the whole way up the trail.
  14. As i was driving up to the Shoppes yesterday, I saw four cats out on Upper Runaway and Upper Fastrack. So quite possibly they are open, and their website is still shit.
  15. Cutoff was 9. Top 3 from the last stop were already pre qualified, and the top 9 from today would be added. I wish Sean got in, only time till he is on top.
  16. Will Wallisch compete this weekend or his shoulder still screwed up? Also, I take it Sean is in the qualifying round again, how about Brogan?
  17. The Radisson in Scranton is nothing like a chain hotel. Its an old train station made into a hotel. Beautiful building, and a wonderful restaurant. Id seriously consider staying there, so much more to do then staying up in the Endless Mtns, or even staying in Clarks Summit at The Inn at Nichols Village.
  18. If the snow gets better, try the woods skiers left to Goat. I enjoyed them when i was there. Also, If you feel like skiing a great run, but a hike. Then go to Spruce, go on West trail and at the top go off to skiers left. Once you reach the bottom you'll be in the notch and need to hike out to your left. Depending on were you come out it could be a long hike. It took us 45 minutes to hike, but with 20 inches of fresh it was worth it.
  19. I dont even ski anymore, and have known about it for over a week. I believe Speicher is in charge of it, and thats why 1st place is a Head board.
  20. The only mountain that I know is visible from the NE extension is Blue. Not sure on the mile marker, but if you were going to JF, then you definetly passed it.
  21. Skiing at night is no good, skiing park at night is a death sentence. After one fall 20 ft to flat on your neck because of a cork 5 at night, you will see.
  22. Two transformers blew up. I dont remember which two exactly, but they blew out and they lost power for the rest of the night.
  23. If you want good park skis that will be bomb proof and last, look for Head. Either older Head Mad Trix or newer Head Jon Olsson PM. These skis are tough and wont break on you, but are very stiff. A good ski will cost you some money. Also on either tramdock or backcountry they have 07 Rossignol Scratch Steezes for either $199 or $299 (I forget) but in all sizes. Thats a great ski, for an even better price.
  24. I personally like a jumps that shoots you out farther, then it does higher.
  25. Sean will have his time, he is already turning heads. And I honestly believe he can be a top pro in the next few seasons, Kinda like Tom.
