  1. I hate to say it but it comes down to different peoples experiences with boards and bindings people who've had one or two negative experiences with burton say it sucks people who haven't had that yet or at all will say they're great and back them until they have some bad experiences or find something they like even more; but like someone said earlier move this crap to the gear threads start a new thread in there and talk shit on burton or kiss it's ass but this is for conditions and personally I wanna know if it's worth it to go up after my next final today anyone?
  2. That Flat drop flat was awesome but the ledge is a tad short, but I also didn't know it was an experiment and test of the material I think you should replace the ledge on the small stairs with the same stuff that would just be awesome to have that one a staircase!

    Gloves

I've had nothing but bad experiences with burton gloves, but I really liked the rome stuff I got a pair from my shop for free some kind of mis match or something their the same glove same year right and left hand, anyway I really like them super warm good all around no complaints.
  4. Thirtytwo makes some of the best quality boots ever, but you really do want to hunt for the boot that fits your foot and is comfortable also you'll be able to decide on your own how stiff you want a boot but most people go soft in the park, also nick did you mean the Prime from thirtytwo because I know that boot has that interchangable lace wrap. Also for all you nike heads out there, nike is getting in the game next year so be on the look out for nike SB snowboarding boots.

    EPOXY

Actually one trick I was told by one of the guys at mervin (GNU,LIB,Roxy) was loc-tite the blue one I forget the number though, I haven't tried it but it makes sense but the 2 part epoxy is your best bet if you don't wanna risk trying something like loc-tite.
  6. The burton binding you're talking about the P1 SpeedZone is absolutely terrible people in my shop rode them at the on the snow demo last year and literally tore off the speed zone pull and our rep. gave us some bullshit excuse that the production models had a thicker and stronger cable.
  7. Ah you meant last years datas I was thinking this years and was just truely amazed.
  8. Word I'm loving that urban rail at the top of black bear with the gap on it's no joke.
  9. Over all opening weekend was good yesterday snow quality was pretty bad but not surprised with rain moving in and the slush from saturday freezing up; also that road gap looked awesome my friend brought it up but I told him he'd blow his knee out.
  10. Unless there's something visually wrong with the base of his board (deep scratch or gouge) it's not going to be something wrong with his set up, I'm not really going to speak for the two of you around what trails or conditions you've ridden this year; but maybe get him to start out on a smaller easier trail just to get comfortable with his board again it can always be a little rough coming back after your off season time especially after the short and pitiful season we had last year.
  11. Dolf I remember you guys shooting opening day last year and seeing your edits around they look good, also that's awesome you guys got some sponsors but didn't one of your guys make it onto signal snowboards?
  12. People keep saying the ponds are low they didn't look to bad yesterday and besides even if they are a little low given a week of rain fall and just flat out down time from blowing snow those ponds should be totally full again, not to mention as grilledsteeze said cold rain isn't the worst thing out there as long as they groom and cover and bare spots that pop up they're fine.
  13. Damn I came into this thread so late and just started to laugh and it's still pretty funny you guys had everyone freaking out.
  14. Yeah it's gonna suck getting your pass tomorrow jam packed line with a line to the back of the ticket area, at least that's how it was last year it got pretty ugly but maybe they'll have it down to a science this year who knows.
  15. Word I keep talking about that but I didn't think anyone else remembered or saw that, but DFD better be out tomorrow I'm trying to throw down also I'd kill for some kickers.
  16. Yo I will be there open to close pistachio green and white dub jacket with fur trim hood and tan whitish volcom pants, get at me and we should ride I'll have my video camera so please come ride! P.S. the name is john so say hi and let's ride some park.

    Bindings

Well that depends because pretty much all snow companies when they say a year they mean on snow time, so that doesn't mean one year from purchase date they actually mean one year of on snow time. Also I forgot to mention rome has a 2 year warranty on their gear, I believe Ride is one year and Union is year on binding but lifetime on baseplate and I think heelcup.
  18. Yes I do and I hear you unfortunately my finals fall on the 10th and the 14th, but I full plan on being at bear every waking moment possible that I'm not at work; also are you in their club because you can get some wicked discounts at shops and on lift tickets and such.
  19. I prefer the full hand tune although a base grinder is a nice tool, for an entry level rider I would recommend full detune in the nose and tail and maybe a bevel of 2 degrees on the base edge just so you're not catching edges all over the place. Also waxing your board is it a sintered or extruded base if it's sintered every 5 or 6 rides, extruded every 10 to 15 or even just twice a season if you're really not down with paying for it to get done.
  20. Union is no joke their stuff is bomb proof and they stand behind their shit 110% we're actually talking about picking them up next year, I've been back and forth with their rep for a couple days about it; but have you ridden yours yet and that deal is absolutely sick how'd that happen?

    Bindings

K2 bindings aren't to good my girlfriend got a pair last year unresponsive and cheaply made IMO, but about rides redesign I really like the metal frame and plate makes for a better binding all plastic bindings suck end of story I can't believe at one point I liked a full plastic base and binding aside from the heel cup.
  22. Another shop is Spectrum boardshop (sister shop of G-Spot) we're out in ardmore, PA 19003 Phone is 610-649-4041 We don't stock the design but we should be able to get it but if you're just looking for a solid all around park slayer, the agent or anthem are both very good bets I would back them both. Also we haven't had any crails come back but from looking at the ones we have on the floor I'm not to surprised there's something about how the topsheet on those feel that just makes it feel kinda flimsy and thin.
  23. The artifact, the agent (if you don't mind a bit of a bigger price and want to be able to slay rails and jumps of all sizes), I would also say the lib-tech box scratcher or skate banana. The GNU street series is way more street focused then park rail focused, and the riders choice is actually kind of an all over park board but if that's what you want another board to consider is the DH; if you side on a Ride board find a shop that is a Ride DFC shop because the DFC boards are 20% lighter and have better materials in its construction as well as a totally different and tougher topsheet.
  24. I like how they're still making snow and it doesn't look like they plan on stopping any time soon the mountain is looking so good with all that white everywhere.
  25. Well the water temp. problem was supposedly solved by the addition of fountains to circulate the water and expose it to cold air, but that's all that I know about that but as toast dropped that chart you might get why they wouldn't make snow during a natural snow fall.
